  1. 100% correct. So depressing.
  2. lol!!!! Btw everyone-I’m actually a month older than him.
  3. It’s very cliche, that’s for sure. Been happening since the dawn of civilization. I wonder if any generation ever asked themselves, “Do we have blame if our kids are entitled, blah blah?” After all, when we got participation trophies in third grade it was our parents handing them out.
  4. My dad is a baby boomer. We were talking once about “thin skinned millennials” and he said, “Well, I know a lot thin skinned baby boomers too.” We like to think our generation is special and those who come after/before us are deficient in some way. Few things show our ego like that way of thinking. Most also miss the innate silliness/irony of complaining about a generation of “slackers”, “thin skinned babies”, etc while being unaware who raised them. On a side note, I hope things work out with your son bro.
  5. dude, want to fly on the private jet? I’d ask @Just_A_Guy but our insurance doesn’t cover the elderly.
  6. Greatest. Comment. Ever.
  7. Geez @Godless more talk like this and you might as well get a MAGA cap. 😉
  8. Slightly off topic-I’m going to guess that the overwhelming majority of Floridians have not heard about this story or just don’t care. Church news just isn’t a topic of interest down here.
  9. Does this have anything to do with what @Just_A_Guy and I were talking about last week? Is the LDS hard right looking for a reason to think the church has gone moderate?
  10. It’s 100% in the eye of the beholder, and sometimes (not talking about you @mikbone) when someone thinks things are dull, it‘s because they personally can’t find the joy/interest in the subject. Again, not saying this about @mikbone.
  11. Lol.
  12. I also remember when The Simpsons came out it was considered sort of taboo/dirty/inappropriate. I’m not sure why, because the series was actually a little sweet and sentimental in the very beginning.
  13. I prefer them to South Park as well but I haven’t watched either show on a regular basis in over a decade.
  14. The SEC has thousands of fun ways to fine people. This isn’t a big deal-sometimes all companies have to do blink the wrong way and the SEC gets fussy.
  15. That’s a fine assessment. It’s clearly not a show for everyone.
  16. South Park is both hilarious and cringe inducing for me. It’s like watching the old MTV show with the name of a donkey. You hate yourself for laughing but sometimes it’s just so silly you can’t help it. If you are easily offended you shouldn’t even think of watching it. I do love how South Park slaughters liberal sacred cows as much as they so with conservative ones.
  17. None of us here are that influential.
  18. Absolutely legit point.
  19. Totally legit analysis. I can’t read minds so I’m not claiming to know their intentions. I also think you know more about them than I do.
  20. Understand. I think the overwhelming majority of people who use that hashtag are doing it in attempt to use humor and have some harmless fun.
  21. Is it really that serious though? Am I missing something? I thought these guys essentially made funny memes and fired back to critics online in funny ways. The LDS faith could a court jester. Are these guys it?
  22. From what very little I know about this group, it sounds like silly, sophomoric fun-and there’s nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, I think it’s great that someone in the church can fire back at anti’s and trolls.
  23. Isn’t that a cop out people use when they can’t handle hearing someone with a different opinion? Most people don’t want to hear anything they disagree with, much less something that challenges them to rethink the issues. This goes for all of us.
