That has got to have been one of the most destructive tornadoes in the last forty years. I heard Joe Biden say it was a sign of climate change. But I say it is a sign of the present and future destruction God will send on this Earth before His mighty Second Coming.

"I think we met in the pre-existence."
Still_Small_Voice replied to Awakened's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Maybe the LORD wanted to know your mission efforts were special to Him along with the others in your group in the Missionary Training Center. You probably did not need a revelation like that with your husband. But maybe you did not know your husband in the pre-mortal life. I believe any Latter-Day Saint man and woman can make a marriage work if they both want it to. Also as I was studying the different Gospel Principles once while serving a mission I had a strong impression given to me by the Holy Ghost that I had studied these truths in the pre-mortal life. The things I learned while on a mission I would not trade for the most fine gold or valuable jewels in this world. -
Website Was Down Over the Weekend
Still_Small_Voice replied to Still_Small_Voice's topic in General Discussion
I do not remember what pornography came up on my screen, but it was not a topless woman. My mind knew the website was hacked when the vulgar images came up and I closed it almost as soon as it came up. -
When I tried to get to this website (https://www.thirdhour.org) over the weekend I was getting redirected to a pornography website. Anyone else have the same experience?

What is something good that happened to you today?

I am up in the city of Idaho Falls presently. Today I get to go inside the Idaho Falls temple for the first time to watch someone I know be married in the temple for this life and hopefully for eternity. -
"I think we met in the pre-existence."
Still_Small_Voice replied to Awakened's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
Is this principle not also taught in the Doctrine & Covenants? If the LORD gives you a witness of the truth and adequate time to accept but one rejects it in mortality and later repents in the spirit world that progression is limited? 73 And also they who are the spirits of men kept in prison, whom the Son visited, and preached the gospel unto them, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh; 74 Who received not the testimony of Jesus in the flesh, but afterwards received it. -- Doc. & Cov. 76 But going back to the original post subject. I have met some people in my life and had the strong, real feeling of recognition, comfort, and affection for them. Sometimes I wonder if I knew these people also in the pre mortal life. -
My wheat has been stored for about thirteen years in a cool and dry place in plastic buckets with bay leaves in them. No weevils or other pests have been found in the wheat. It is still good and likely will be for another twelve years or longer.

I was thinking today. Someone posted a while back on the forums that they had a dream. In the dream food was so expensive many people could not afford it. Think this will come to pass within the next several years in this nation?

responses requested death as return to normality
Still_Small_Voice replied to askandanswer's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
My mind has been looking into the fact for years that death is not good for those who are in a carnal, sensual or devilish state. These people that have sent themselves to spirit prison because of their sins must suffer until their day of deliverance. (Some were in spirit prison from the days of Noah until Christ resurrected. Some who died in the floods from the days of Noah are probably still in spirit prison.) It seems beyond my comprehension of what spirit prison actually is and how things work in the spirit world. We know paradise and prison are here on the earth, but the spirits are in a different state than mortals in this temporal existence. And almost all people will spend a longer time in the spirit world than they did in their mortal existence. Spirit paradise seems much easier to comprehend in my mind. -
We probably have about five to six months of food storage presently. It would not be good eating though. I really believe the prophets have asked us to store up one years worth of food so we do not have to turn others away. Personally I very likely would not distribute any of my food. It will go to the bishop and he can distribute it in hard times. If anyone lives in northern Utah and is interested in free wheat that is probably good for another 12 years send me a personal message. The containers that hold the wheat I wish to keep but you can have the wheat. I am looking at replacing some of it with pinto beans and great northern beans. Dry pinto beans and great northern beans are very cheap presently from what I have heard. Do not forget good quality water filters either. I also like propane electric generators as propane never goes bad. As long as the tanks are good the propane is good and that could be several years. Analyze what you have in preparations, make a plan and then pray about what you buy when you plan to purchase.

Time is literally money with investments. The earlier you can start (even around the age of 21) the better. Forty years of an investment giving an average of annual 8 to 10 percent annual interest rate really adds up. If you started with $6,000 sum at the age of 23 and got an annual interest rate of 8% every year adding only $1,000 per year your money could accumulate to around $389,000 by the age of 63. My wife and I only have about eighteen to twenty years left until we hit the age of 67. I am really trying to catch up now as we are behind. Start saving now and not tomorrow. Pay the LORD first and pay yourself second.

Baldwin, gun safety, freedoms and responsibilities
Still_Small_Voice replied to Traveler's topic in General Discussion
I have not had a negligent discharge in my life with a firearm despite spending many numerous hours shooting. The reason for this I attribute to the over 90 hours of professional firearm courses I took on pistol and long gun training. If you are going to own firearms learn how to use them safely. (A good one or two day course will generally teach you the basics. But you need to refresh yourself if you have not handled a loaded firearm for over six months.) Firearm accidents are rarely "accidents." A firearm accident is when the gun malfunctions, such as going full automatic with a single pull of the trigger or the firearm exploding or discharging without the trigger being pulled. 99% of firearm accidents are because of negligence/ bad behavior. -
Demonstration of Another Hover Car
Still_Small_Voice replied to Still_Small_Voice's topic in Current Events
It would be great to rent one if I had the money. Presently my wages are staying the same but the prices for everything are going up. Flying one of these would be immensely fun. -
This hover car is called the Jetson One. Maximum weight of the passenger is 210 pounds. The vehicle will give you 20 minutes of flight time and its top speed is 63 miles per hour. It is priced at $92,000. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzhREYOK0oo

Sin in the pre-mortal life - a contradiction?
Still_Small_Voice replied to Luke's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
From my understanding there were three parts of God's children (and you are right that it was a third part that rebelled against the LORD and were cast out and not necessarily 33%). There were the valiant, the less valiant and the rebellious in the hosts of heaven in the premortal life. (Reference the book Jesus the Christ for these teachings.) I believe that the rebellious were the smallest part of God's children. -
I have been hearing reports because of the unconstitutional president vaccine mandates that 30% of pilots may lose their jobs. The effects may be with less pilots there will be less flights and shipment of goods. The same thing may happen with truckers and trucks. More shortages of goods may be in the future. I hope they are wrong but I do not think so. Read more at: https://www.westernjournal.com/power-airline-pilot-warns-bidens-mandate-will-create-massive-disruptions-shipping-travel

Did you see the pictures of the back up of goods just sitting in Los Angeles harbor waiting to be unloaded? I found one article here: https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2021/09/27/photos-massive-cargo-ship-buildup-outside-l-a-long-beach-ports-as-imports-resume/

I opened some turkey that I had bottled in July 2021 today and ate it. I pressure cooked this turkey in the bottle. It tasted fine. The food was preserved for 85 days at around 72 degrees (room temperature). This is success! In my opinion the bottled meat I have done in my cellar will still be good for over nine more months. Likely I will eat it before then. Yesterday I bottled two more jars of hamburger meat to add to my storage. The rice storage jars are also all still sealed up after about 70 days.

I am responding to your post Traveler. We have many modern day miracles and inventions. I was watching a video posted by "Charity Water." It is an organization that sets up wells to give clean water to people in very poor countries. Many of wells have people rejoicing and dancing around them because they can get clean water after being set up. We take clean, drinkable water for granted because it is an every day experience and available. But it is a modern day miracle. -
I like October. It is cool but generally not too cold. I changed the oil in both of my automobiles previously in September in preparation for the icy up coming winter. The oil gets changed on the curb in front of my house so I like to do it in nice weather.

I got the impression from Conference that hard times are ahead in the future but God will support the saints and followers of Christ in our trials, troubles and in our afflictions.

What's a popular word, saying or phrase you can't stand?
Still_Small_Voice replied to Suzie's topic in General Discussion
I hate the saying: "I gave 110%." It's stupid. No one can give more than 100% and many times when people say that they gave far less than 100%. I also hate when Windows 10 is loading software updates and the screen says 100% completed and the updates are still loading. You mean it is 99% because the updates are not completed. Windows 10 is not a good operating system anyway in my opinion and this is one of the many things that annoys me about the software. -

Several days ago my company paid out a profit share into a retirement account for me. I hope good things are happening to all of you out there.
