  1. And that is the point. To preserve meat and other food that does not need freezing or refrigeration. Having some food that needs no refrigeration is wise.
  2. Did you see the pictures of the back up of goods just sitting in Los Angeles harbor waiting to be unloaded? I found one article here: https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2021/09/27/photos-massive-cargo-ship-buildup-outside-l-a-long-beach-ports-as-imports-resume/
  3. I opened some turkey that I had bottled in July 2021 today and ate it. I pressure cooked this turkey in the bottle. It tasted fine. The food was preserved for 85 days at around 72 degrees (room temperature). This is success! In my opinion the bottled meat I have done in my cellar will still be good for over nine more months. Likely I will eat it before then. Yesterday I bottled two more jars of hamburger meat to add to my storage. The rice storage jars are also all still sealed up after about 70 days.
  4. I am responding to your post Traveler. We have many modern day miracles and inventions. I was watching a video posted by "Charity Water." It is an organization that sets up wells to give clean water to people in very poor countries. Many of wells have people rejoicing and dancing around them because they can get clean water after being set up. We take clean, drinkable water for granted because it is an every day experience and available. But it is a modern day miracle.
  5. I like October. It is cool but generally not too cold. I changed the oil in both of my automobiles previously in September in preparation for the icy up coming winter. The oil gets changed on the curb in front of my house so I like to do it in nice weather.
  6. I got the impression from Conference that hard times are ahead in the future but God will support the saints and followers of Christ in our trials, troubles and in our afflictions.
  7. I hate the saying: "I gave 110%." It's stupid. No one can give more than 100% and many times when people say that they gave far less than 100%. I also hate when Windows 10 is loading software updates and the screen says 100% completed and the updates are still loading. You mean it is 99% because the updates are not completed. Windows 10 is not a good operating system anyway in my opinion and this is one of the many things that annoys me about the software.
  8. Several days ago my company paid out a profit share into a retirement account for me. I hope good things are happening to all of you out there.
  9. Yes, I have heard some dirty, digging, deep dark secrets about Fether. Send me a personal message and I will tell you all the good stuff. 😁
  10. Violators of the Biden Covid-19 vaccine mandate could face up to $14,000 fine per violation. Fourteen states are already stating they will not comply with these unconstitutional mandates on private business. https://fox8.com/news/coronavirus/bidens-vaccine-mandate-to-face-legal-challenges-enforcement/ One of the worst parts of Biden's speech is he said: “If they’ll not help, if these governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as president to get them out of the way.” I cannot ever remember hear the president talk like this to our State governors. It is tyrannical speech in my opinion. He has zero authority to do what he is doing. Joe Biden is the worst person to ever get into the office of president I have seen in my life time.
  11. This was updated on the 27th of August 2021 I believe: Nazarene Fund founder Glenn Beck announced that the charity has managed to airlift 5,100 Christians out of Taliban-controlled Afghanistan over the last week, using the more than $30 million in funds donated by Beck’s radio show listeners. http://memoryholeblog.org/2021/08/31/glenn-becks-nazarene-fund-airlifts-5100-christians-from-afghanistan/
  12. Here we go again. Jack Phillips had another lawsuit filed against him in 2021. This is so ridiculous in my opinion. Read more about it here: https://www.deseret.com/u-s-world/2021/3/24/22348404/colorado-baker-jack-phillips-sued-again-lgbtq-bias If you want to contribute to Jack's legal fund go here: https://adflegal.org/enough-is-enough?sourcecode=10018371_r850&utm_source=newsmax&utm_medium=email_acquisition&utm_campaign=jack_phillips_update
  13. Some news on the 20th of August 2021 was that three hundred Christians were evacuated on an airplane out of Afghanistan by the Nazarene Fund charity. They also had other airplanes inbound to take more people.
  14. They are not allowing you to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine? That is the one I got. If a booster shot comes out for Wuhan coronavirus likely I do not think I will get it.
  15. I may be wrong but I blame the Afghan Security Forces for just giving up and not even putting up a decent fight with the Taliban. They had over fifteen years to get their act together and they did not.
  16. This is the worst thing I have heard about the Tesla cars. If I had the money to purchase one it would be without the capability to even use their auto pilot. A $14,100 charge for an extra feature without even asking you if you are sure you want to do this is a terrible option in the car. And that auto pilot feature is way over priced as well. Not worth more than about $2,500 in my opinion.
  17. By C. Douglas Golden August 14, 2021 You know technology has reached a scary new level when car companies can up sell you on things you don’t want without a) a salesman or dealer being present, or b) your consent. But Tesla buyers, beware: If you lend someone your car and they press the wrong paddle, you could end up being charged $14,186.25 for some very expensive options. According to CarScoops, Dominic Preuss — a Twitter blue-check whose primary fame comes from his work as a “product geek” from Google — let his father-in-law borrow his Tesla Model 3. The trouble likely began, Preuss said, when his father-in-law pressed a shift paddle twice while driving. If you’re familiar with Tesla, you know that the electric automaker is famous for its autopilot function, which steers the car for you and keeps it on cruise control. It’s an extra, however — although one you can activate remotely. The cars also have what’s known as “Full Self-Driving Capability.” As CarScoops notes, it’s really nothing of the sort, but it gets somewhat closer to what it says it does than the autopilot mode does. It allows the car to navigate on autopilot, automatically change lanes, auto-park, summon the car and exercise control at traffic lights and stop signs. These are pricey options, something Preuss reportedly found out the hard way. “For Your Information. If you double click the shift panel twice and accidentally engage the auto-pilot in Model 3, @Tesla will automatically charge you $14,100 if you didn’t previously purchase auto-pilot,” Preuss tweeted on July 27th. 18. There is a charity group now that is trying to get 3,000 to 5,000 people out of Afghanistan to a safe place outside the country where they will not be hunted and murdered. If you wanted to donate to the cause look at this website: https://thenazarenefund.org/
  19. I agree. The people making money off war contracts want more war for money. More planes, bombs, ammo and other equipment in my opinion.
  20. No one has conquered Afghanistan in over 1,000 years I heard. We should never have had our troops stay there that long there in my opinion.
  21. This is a follow up on this subject. A Honus Wagner T206 baseball card is now worth $3,300,000 in 2021 presently. A 2009 Mike Trout Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects Autograph baseball card is now valued at $3,900,000. (I cannot believe a card less than twenty years old is valued at this price.) Take a look at the below website. A 1914 Babe Ruth Baltimore News baseball card takes the cake at a whopping $6,000,000. https://goldcardauctions.com/rare-expensive-baseball-cards/
  22. I was watching a video where a nutrition specialist was talking about corn syrup. She said a lot people have a problem where the body does not know what to do with corn syrup so it just becomes fat on your body. Lately I have been cutting back a lot on foods with corn syrup in them. If I have something to report on what this does to me in the future I will let you know. I've also been trying to put in more exercise lately. Trying everyday to get walking and biking in with minor muscle exercise. Favorite snacks, nothing comes to mind. Anything without corn syrup in it which is not easy to find.
  23. I do not buy from Nike anymore either. Presently I do everything I can to avoid buying Coca-Cola products now as well. You pick and choose your battles. Right now I am wearing Under Armor brand shoes.
  24. I know two people who are Latter-Day Saints that use medical marijuana. Both have major pain and medical issues and neither smoke it. They ingest it. One of the people told me she got high off of the medical marijuana she was using once and she hated the experience. She said she uses it carefully now to not get the same drug experience. Both of them say it helps with the pain they have to constantly endure.
  25. In my many years here I have seen people get into many contentions and strivings about words. Titus 3:9 "But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law, for they are unprofitable and vain." Lately I am lurking more here as my other 2nd Amendment forum is I fear slowly dying away. People are leaving there. No way am I going frequent Twitter or Facebook. Yuck.
