"Cheating" husband, should I stay?
Maya replied to reader6213's topic in Marriage and Relationship Advice
I would leave it up to how sorry he is. If he is not sorry so you say sorry the door is that way! Some guys are really sorry when they se how it hurts... let him see, hear what he is doing to you and your marriage! Many guys are such kids and jerks:mad:... but I stil would not say you should leave, unless you are sure he is not able to repend. He needs to go to talk to the bishop adn if he dont tell him to get back when he has been there. Many think anything is ok just they dont get caught! And if he told it to you himself it is good... he may have realised something. Still we need to forgive when that is right! And sometimes it is..... -

Try not to be critical. Everyone has the right to their own opinions even the leaders of the Church. Let go and live your life as a believing member, find joy in books... for me defending the faith helped me, many go astray if they try that, for me it was good. You know you had those feelings even though you doubt now. Decide not to doubt yopurself. Study. -

Hi Melani and welcome. I just saw a Chinese girl babtized by his boyfrioend. She said that at first it was very weird this tought of there beeing a God. But as he taught her she realised that it must be true as everything in the world testifies for en God... this all could not be just by incident. Do go and ask your questions on the forums... maybe in about mormonism.... dont be afraid toa sk we are here to help you. My son is on mission now and it is true most misionaries are very much in to religion when they get home. You have 2 wonderful years to grow and find out your own path.

Welcome BoMLo. Just be cool and dont argue too much, agree to disagree in things that dont seem to find the same keynote... and dont post any degeratory stuff= things to make the weeker people her to doubt their faith. Too much pushing of some other religions proideas and opinions (except in the part of: other religions forum) or negative thoughts about LDS is not healty, we discuss LDS here. Pointing out things from our religion, things that God has not revieled reason to yet, is of no use, as we have no answer only faith.... which is the cornerstone of all religions anyway... faith. Use the search engin... if you can figure out how it workd... I have not been able to do that... If you have any questions ... sometime it gets tiering to answer the same questions over and over again... btw. keep them as questions not accusitions. And dont forget to pay me Great to have you with us. I hope you enjoy the forum. Pam I thought Vancouver is in BC Canada.... my sisters live there...

IMHO Everyone has to sooner or later take sides in the question of religion. Like Elgama I can only talk of my own experience. I was a very active protestant (Lutheran) with both grandparents as priests, from a very good lutheran home, it seemed weird to anyone that I would change my religion... and SO drastically! I was on the very topp as a lutheran youth. I would probably have been a priest at least a member of the counsil of the Church. I was voted in the youth counsil of our congrigation. As I have told I knew my scriptures, yet I did not act any special religious, I was a shy, good girl and just not interested in drinking or smoking or haging around. I rather was at home and listened to Black Sabbath and the Animals and paul Revere and the Riders and the.... Osmonds... I was interested to study different religions and I was sure already then that ALL religions come from one and the same religion, they just have been altered in time. I was not just reading the Bible I was and stil am a thinker. No matter how much I read there were questiosn I could not answer with Lutheran explanation, or I felt they gave me wrong answers, or none. I noticed how people were prising Lord with their mouths but their hearts were far from Him. I also noticed how little by little the laws of the Lord were forgotten or not taken seriosly any more. I did some choises I myself thought were wrong... but everyone else did it too... and NO ONE said it was wrong!? Anyway one day I found the missionares behind my door. I listended to them. I was critical. I have met one of my missionaries later and in one of their first visits I threw at them something about women not beeing able to be priests and some other stuff I heard about mormons... he said that they were wondering what will become of this investigator! I asked quite a few negative things I had heard about mormons... plural marriage ... ofcourse... The second time they were visiting me they showed "the search of happyness"... somethig unexpected happened, already then I KNEW taht the Church of jesus Crist of Latter-day Saints was the true Church of our Lord and Saviour. I had to fight back and kept asking all kinds of questions. I could not just fall in the waters ... could I! I red the BoM with a prayer: Please God if there is ANYTHING against the Bible show it to me. Many parts of the scriptures touched me just like the Bible did. Alma 11-12, 32,39-42 And so much of the same was in the Bible. The people in Church were nice. One lady picked me and my daughter up every Sunday. Every Sunday was like a feast. But I never cared so much for the people, as the gospel. I remember I sat on a high kitchen movable stairs and cried... mother it is my life I feel this is right... My ex and my mother asked me to meet with a big anti, they said he would like to meet me (and the misionaries if I wanted to). He knew the truth about LDS, as he was an exmember. But that meeting came never true. Instead they gave me his book and told me to read that book before I decide anything. I red the book ... I felt I wanted to puke on each site, I felt sick... HOW someone can write a book like that! The accusitions were ridiculous, I had been there, and seen all myself. Either all mormons lied or that book lied, and I had a feeling I knew who! Actually I think I can thank that book for joining and especially for getting now later in to the Church defence. Today soon 30 years later I still can say that I have not found anythign in that book to be true. I suppose I just like to swim against the stream! All I know for sure is that the Spirit testified to me then, it spoke peace in my mind and I felt the small seed begin to grow. I also had a few smal miracles happening to me then and later, that proved to me that the Church and its doctorine is true. I enjoy soo much the new knowledge I have recieved. It still feels unbelievable that I have been given the possibility to learn all this... and there is still more to come. This is so exciting and interesting to search in the deapths of the scrioptures and in the words of the Profet. We live in exciting and interesting times!

You cold ask that either you or the YM leaders would talk to the boys about how important it is to be worthy when dealing out the sacrament. You do not need to point to them any special guy but really ask them seriosly to do that. I might even ask the boy to site and talk with him in a corridore, or his parents. Sometimes these yougsters are in a terrible press from home and church as they are expected to deal out the sacrament it is difficult to decline. He needs to understand that it is more harmfull for him to deal it unworthy than to say that he dont want to deal it out today. I know some people that have gone out of church as they have noticed that thise dealing the sacrament are not worty and YET they are allowed to do it. I got questionde... or the church was ... by my ex as he saw my hometeacher in a bar drinking something taht mistakenly looked like beer. He loved a drink that has no alcohol but looks liek beer and can also be bought in bars.... those negative sure have their eyes on us! YM should understand that!
