ADoyle90815 Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 We did it!!! I'm happy, since they're my team as well. 99-86 Quote
siouxz72 Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Yay for your boys Easy T! have a great night celebrating! Quote
Dr T Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 and that's 4! (and 15!) GOOD JOB LAKERS! Didn't I tell you all "the Lakers were going to take it all this year"? WTG boys! Quote
BenRaines Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Dr. T, you know I said the same at the start of the season after the first 15 games or so. Go Lakers Ben Raines Quote
Dr T Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 Tonight was fun. It was Kobe's & Fish's 4th Ring, Kobes 1st Finals MVP, Phil's 10th and the Lakers 15th final victory! I will say Orlando was a tougher team than I expected. Quote
Dr T Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 Thanks Nillers. What do you think about the talk of the trade of Shaq to the Cavs? Quote
Guest Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 I have to say, although I was very disappointed in the last 2 games, all in all it was a great series. Orlando Magic proved they are worthy of the Eastern Conference Championship trophy. They represented the East very well. 2 games going into overtime. Some heart-in-your-throat moments. It was great. Kobe is such a great bballer he is a pleasure to watch. And I am very happy that he finally got a ring on his own merit without any doubt that Shaq had anything to do with it. Shaq and LeBron? Makes you go Hmmm... Quote
Dr T Posted June 16, 2009 Author Report Posted June 16, 2009 LeBron is amazing imo and will continue to develop and grow. Shaq is still a force and was a super great center, one of the best of all time now doubt about it. I wonder what they will do with that. I guess we'll see. Yes, Anatess the Magic made us work. They did a great job. Howard really impressed me too. It was fun to watch. :) Quote
Dr T Posted June 18, 2009 Author Report Posted June 18, 2009 Lakers had their parade today just thought you'd all want to know. Quote
Vanilla Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 We are having a parade here in Phoenix today as well! Shaq is OUTTA HERE!!!!! :-) Quote
Dr T Posted June 25, 2009 Author Report Posted June 25, 2009 How is he going to fit in with the Cavs? We'll see I guess. Quote
Dr T Posted June 26, 2009 Author Report Posted June 26, 2009 "With our situation, you don't want to draft players that can't make your team because your roster's full," Kupchak said. "So we may look to move or to exchange our draft picks for future picks or whatever we choose to do." From here Lakers likely to unload first-round draft pick - FOX Sports on MSN Quote
Dr T Posted July 2, 2009 Author Report Posted July 2, 2009 Kobe didn't opt out of his contact so he's still on the Lakers. Quote
Dr T Posted July 3, 2009 Author Report Posted July 3, 2009 Wow, Artest to the Lakers. We'll see what else will happen. I like Artest as a player. GO LAKERS! Quote
Jbs2763 Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Wow, Artest to the Lakers. We'll see what else will happen. I like Artest as a player. GO LAKERS!great fit..Artest sucks at life, and is an epic failure as a human...not to mention cost Reggie a ring...well, him and the refs Quote
Dr T Posted July 3, 2009 Author Report Posted July 3, 2009 Like I said, I like him as a player (to be clear as a basketball player) with his skills. As a person, he's done some things that I don't like and he had some difficulties there to deal with. He was much more toned down this year though. Quote
Dr T Posted July 3, 2009 Author Report Posted July 3, 2009 Ariza gave a verbal to go to the Rockets. I like Ariza a lot! I think he's one of the most athletic we've had on last years team. I'll miss strong skills but he was too inconsistent for me. I think he will continue to grow as a player. No Ming anymore so they will not have a big (yet) now. Good luck to him but GO LAKERS! Quote
Dr T Posted July 3, 2009 Author Report Posted July 3, 2009 Josh Powell and D.J. Mbenga will remain on the Lakers' roster for the 2009-10 seasons. Ok, I just want to understand why we keep signing Mbenga?! Seriously WHY? Yes he's 7' and 255 pounds but come on. They can't really use him for more than practice. I don't get it. Quote
Dr T Posted July 3, 2009 Author Report Posted July 3, 2009 After receiving results of medical tests, Lakers head coach Phil Jackson has announced he will return to coach the team for the 2009-10 season. Quote
Dr T Posted July 8, 2009 Author Report Posted July 8, 2009 Shannon Brown has been resigned to the Lakers. :) Quote
Dr T Posted July 9, 2009 Author Report Posted July 9, 2009 Artest has signed with the Lakers and has chosen #37 "to honor Michael Jackson" since his Thriller song was #1 for 37 weeks. He views himself as #1 so he picked that number. I hope he helps us out. Quote
Dr T Posted July 17, 2009 Author Report Posted July 17, 2009 The Heat have made an offer for Odom. I hope he chooses to stay with the Lakers. I know he was only offered a 3 year contact but maybe the Heat can offer a longer term contract. Odom was offered 9 M each year for 3 years while it is rumored that the Heat is ready to offer him something like $35M for 5 years. I'd keep Odom in a heartbeat. Quote
freckleface Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 We have a really quiet and fun little shopping center that's sort of nestled away in our community. It has a this very magical and fun bakery that's all decorated with pink fluff, girly foo foo, fairies and glass slippers. I love their gingerbread cookies. Oh, yes this is a sports thread . . . so, sometimes I go to get my cookie and there's Kobe, buying little fluffy pink cupcakes, gingerbread houses and chocolate dipped strawberries for his little girls dressed up all handsome for tea time. I know nothing about basketball, but he sure does know how to do a tea party. I like his feminine/fluffy side. What a luv. He's a good daddy. Way to go Kobe. Real men like tea parties! You get a smoochie from me. Quote
Dr T Posted July 29, 2009 Author Report Posted July 29, 2009 It looks like Lamar Odom is getting close to going to the Heat I hope not! I twittered or tweeted or whatever it's called to say with my boys! I hope he listens. :) Quote
