Jennarator Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 About 2 hours ago, I told a co-worker how old I was and he is still in shock. The CEO overheard and he is too. Maybe because I am pregnant, people think I am younger. BUt hey, I'll take it! Quote
annewandering Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 lol ok how old are you, jenn? Quote
annewandering Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 lol ok I looked up your age. My daughter has a one year old. Barely. She is 40 this month. I had my last at 36 and I got a bunch of 'are you nuts' looks even then. Of course that was in CA. Quote
Jennarator Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 Lol, yeah I am from CA, so alot of my facebook friends are shocked I am haveing a baby. I will be 38 when he is born....who knows, might have another after this one. Quote
annewandering Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Should have known! Maternity care can be so much better now so theres no reason to not have them. :) Providing you can tolerate the odd looks. Lately theres been a lot about women having babies later and later. You may be closer to the norm than you think. Quote
Jennarator Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 Haha....I just have such a huge break from this kid and my others. (Almost 9 years.) so I think this child might need a playmate. We'll see, I get super sick when prego, tho this was bad at first, I am better. My other two, super sick the whole nine months. Quote
prisonchaplain Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 I wish I was "old" like Jennarator is old. :::sigh::: Quote
annewandering Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 I wish I was "old" like Jennarator is old. :::sigh:::lol me too, PrisonChaplain. My daughters 2 kids are 11 years apart. I dont know if she plans on more. It was harder I thought when I had my last children. I would have one piece of advice. Keep your body in good shape for it. Mine wasnt particularly which made it more tiring. Quote
Jennarator Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 I know, I am so exausted!! I just want to cloalaps when I get home from work. But I still have things to do, like today I have a huge pile of dishes and pots & pans to wash when I get home.....ugh. Quote

annewandering Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 I sympathize. A friend of mine told me to keep my eye on the goal. :) If it gets too much you might try 'picnics' and toss the paper dishes. or even the real dishes....................... :) Quote
estradling75 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Just remember there is really only one reasonable alternative to getting old... Quote
Bini Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Living here in Utah I feel old sometimes having my first child at 27. But I have a friend who lives in NY and can't believe that I'm already a mama.. Haha. Just depends on whereabouts you live. We want a second child and then I'll be done. I don't see myself having any more children after 30. Quote
Jennarator Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 I had my first at 27. But I lived in San Diego at the time. Don't worry you are still young! :) I'm the old fart....trying to still have kids at MY age. LOL! Quote

prisonchaplain Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Nothing? "Nothing," she says??? You don't understand about the depth of sympathy-pains we feel. It's almost as bad, if not worse than what the ladies go through...:::cough::: Quote
Jennarator Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 Sorry, um.....yeah, the men go thru a lot! I think us women ought to be more sympathetic and really chip in more around the house during the nine months of waiting for a child to be born..... Quote

It's almost as bad, if not worse than what the ladies go through...:::cough:::Reminds me of my husband complaining about how I threw up in front of him while pregnant and it made him throw up. Poor guy. Never mind the hundreds of other times I had to endure barfing my guts up. Him throwing up once probably is worse than having a baby to hear him tell it! Quote
