I thank you for your answers and the links.  I will be going over those soon.  I did want to add that the guy did not say it was "all" text only "sacred" texts.  My feeling is that still doesn't hold water based on the skimming I have done on the first link.

Ah yes, I can see what you are saying.  Actually, that was a very astute observation. As I consider it though, would not yours be in error as well? Askandanswer as a name to start a sentence with though, is perfect

That was Alex. I just looked him up and he's showing as banned. Removing all his posts sounds a bit 1984ish. Not just banned, but erased.

Oh yeah.  I have no idea (this is paid software, so I've never tried out the admin side of it), but it's possible that this is just what it does when a user is banned, and not a deliberate choice by humans.

I don't know.  I've seen posts by others that are listed as banned, but their posts are still on the forum.  If it is, it may be with the new software they are using rather than the old?

Or it could have been an accidental choice by a human.  That the mod that did it pushed the wrong button and poof they were gone with no way of getting them back.  Then said mod got instructed most firmly not to do that again...

Of course I am speaking hypothetically... not that I I personally pushed the wrong button and had a big "oh crap" moment, because you know I am suppose to know better then that.

I couldn't remember his user name, and googling this site for "mommy blog", "mummy blog" and "mummie blog" got me no results.  Searching on this site with its tool gets me no results.  I find the posts only by going to his user page and clicking the button there to show his activity.  Maybe there's a search utility tool that ignores blocked content.  I dunno.  Maybe I'm unspecial (highly probable).

Yeah, I had the same thing happen to me.  I changed the parameter to simply "mummy."  Then I had to get around all of @mirkwood's posts.
