She will still be sent to Arizona to be tried for the murder of her late husband, Charles Vallow. And they have the death penalty in Arizona. Backroads 1 Quote
Traveler Posted May 16, 2023 Report Posted May 16, 2023 I sometimes wonder what is more draconian for individuals or society – to allow someone to live with their own draconian attitudes and continue to share these things or to end the possibility. Some decades ago I had a friend that was a detective. I asked him about how to deal with criminals. He was of the idea that we have a 3 step process. The first step would be a controlled program of rehabilitation without incarceration (a paroral of sorts) that they would be required to complete. The second step would be an incarceration of sorts where they were institutionalized and put through a 24/7 rigorous rehabilitation process. The third step would be to execute them. I thought that perhaps the seriousness of their criminal behavior should play – for example someone that shoplifts a 25-cent item is quite different than someone that murders for fun and pleasure. His response was quite interesting. He said it is all a matter of ending a criminal cycle of living and thinking. He said that if someone was willing to die rather than change their criminal behavior – they are capable of things you cannot possibly imagine just so they maintain what they are doing. Our only choice it to determine what is lawfully acceptable and what is not. The Traveler JohnsonJones 1 Quote

Still_Small_Voice Posted May 16, 2023 Report Posted May 16, 2023 Lori's new husband will be put on trial next year from what I heard. The evidence, in my opinion, points to him murdering his previous wife so he could collect life insurance money and be with Lori. Quote

I haven’t been following this case…is Vallow a mainline member or from the Snufferite wing? Quote

Neither, as far as I can tell. I haven't sensed that Snufferites are murderous. These people are simply insane and need to be put down like a rabid dog. From what the legal analysts are saying, she could very well receive the death penalty, due to the cold and remorseless way that she had her husband killed. So, I’m assuming it’s still used. My understanding is that even a lot of Chad Daybell’s followers stopped following him at some point, as they thought he was getting too dark. mirkwood and Backroads 2 Quote
