I'll admit throughout my short time here I have been pretty negative. I realize that I may have hurt people. I have taken some arguments and discussions to far.

So I would ask that you would forgive my trespasses.

I'm at a point where I need to be praying and studying LDS teachings and following the commandments in my life. Instead I have been fighting this and trying my best to cause problems here.

Deep down I'm not a guy that really likes to be that way.

So from here on I'm going to try to do my best to learn what I need to from LDS history and teachings and be a helpful and positive member of this community.

After all I know the Gospel is true.

After all I know the Gospel is true.

Hang on to that thought and it will get you through. When you have all the doubts and the questions and the concerns and the worries, even if it seems like sometimes they can't be solved as long as you never let go of the knowledge that the Gospel is true it will give you strength. :)

Kona:

Thank you for these words.

The thing I try to remember is, what I believe and how I behave is between God and myself, and nobody else. Nobody can gain my testimony for me. And they aren't responsible for me falling away when times get tough. While there are some commonalities in the Gospel that all need to submit to (baptism by immersion and laying on of hands by one in authority, temple ordinances, etc.) the path home to God is individual. He personally guides us home. Personal revelation is critical to that process.

Hold fast to what God has revealed to you personally. That knowledge you have now is not to be had in any other way. It is not subject to what other people think. It is not subject to the logic of the world or the reasoning of the world.

Keep pressing forward. Remain prayerful and the challenges you face as far as enough money and a place to live, etc., will be solved in God's time and in His wisdom. These challenges are for you, and were known about before you were born.

Now we know the true character Kona. :D

You are indeed a gifted man. Prepare your soul to meet your God and Savior. Your own desire will be answer in due time when you are ready to make that greater change to your life.

God bless friend.

I remember once (I was not a LDS) I just HAD TO say kids are bad... born bad... and I sure knew they were not... I just had to do it! ... Sometimes life is like that... looks like there is some material in you after all... :D I can see a great person emerging...

Dangit - did I miss another chance to get offended? Oh poo.

Kona, I'm offended! I've never been so offe... what? He's apologizing? Oh. Well, ok then.

Boy - that was close!

Kona,

You ARE a tremendous individual! What a thing to say -- and what a beautiful way to say it. No one can convince me that humility weakens a human. You stand so very tall today! And I am touched.

.....And a little thank you to Loudmouth for lightening the mood. I am so glad God made funny people.

My father taught me to never believe what a persons says until you know what they do. I have also learned that it is very rare for a person to make a commitment to what they will do and then do it.

I will add my lip service thanks to you verbal commitment. If you prove worthy of your commitment I hope you will remember me as a friend willing to stand with you in any good effort.

AHA! I knew there was a good you inside, waiting to get out. I really appreciate your concern... and that you felt strongly enough about it to make a thread to apologize. I wish it were that easy in real life, rather than having to go up to someone I offended and apologize... well, anyway, apology accepted (though you never really offended me personally) and I hope more members can follow your example.
