kona0197 Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 I'll admit throughout my short time here I have been pretty negative. I realize that I may have hurt people. I have taken some arguments and discussions to far. So I would ask that you would forgive my trespasses. I'm at a point where I need to be praying and studying LDS teachings and following the commandments in my life. Instead I have been fighting this and trying my best to cause problems here. Deep down I'm not a guy that really likes to be that way. So from here on I'm going to try to do my best to learn what I need to from LDS history and teachings and be a helpful and positive member of this community. After all I know the Gospel is true. MaidservantX Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Kona, your humility and courage blow me away. Thanks! I hope you stick around here and help out with the learning and the teaching others for quite some time. :) Quote
ztodd Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 You're a great man Kona. Keep strong, never give up, and pray for us as we all also pray for you. Quote
WillowTheWhisp Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 After all I know the Gospel is true.Hang on to that thought and it will get you through. When you have all the doubts and the questions and the concerns and the worries, even if it seems like sometimes they can't be solved as long as you never let go of the knowledge that the Gospel is true it will give you strength. :) Quote
Guest tomk Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Kona:Thank you for these words. The thing I try to remember is, what I believe and how I behave is between God and myself, and nobody else. Nobody can gain my testimony for me. And they aren't responsible for me falling away when times get tough. While there are some commonalities in the Gospel that all need to submit to (baptism by immersion and laying on of hands by one in authority, temple ordinances, etc.) the path home to God is individual. He personally guides us home. Personal revelation is critical to that process.Hold fast to what God has revealed to you personally. That knowledge you have now is not to be had in any other way. It is not subject to what other people think. It is not subject to the logic of the world or the reasoning of the world.Keep pressing forward. Remain prayerful and the challenges you face as far as enough money and a place to live, etc., will be solved in God's time and in His wisdom. These challenges are for you, and were known about before you were born.Tom Quote

Sometimes life is like that... looks like there is some material in you after all... I can see a great person emerging... Quote

You stand so very tall today! And I am touched......And a little thank you to Loudmouth for lightening the mood. I am so glad God made funny people. Quote
Adeipho Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 bout time Kona.... Nah Just teasing you. You were always accepted here and wanted....even by the likes of me. Have a great day! Quote
Traveler Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 My father taught me to never believe what a persons says until you know what they do. I have also learned that it is very rare for a person to make a commitment to what they will do and then do it. I will add my lip service thanks to you verbal commitment. If you prove worthy of your commitment I hope you will remember me as a friend willing to stand with you in any good effort. The Traveler Quote

inthearmsofsleep Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 AHA! I knew there was a good you inside, waiting to get out. I really appreciate your concern... and that you felt strongly enough about it to make a thread to apologize. I wish it were that easy in real life, rather than having to go up to someone I offended and apologize... well, anyway, apology accepted (though you never really offended me personally) and I hope more members can follow your example.
