  1. Hey Laurel! Good to see you!!!! Again!
  2. Thanks Gwen! I'm having trouble in my marriage, I hope these sites help. :0)
  3. I work in the disability sector, I feel that all people are held resonable for their own actions including persons with disabilities. Example: A disabled person does something illegal does not mean they are exempted from a court of law or criminal charges. Then again I'm talking about here on earth, I really don't know what will happen to disability persons in the afterlife. Since we're all childern of God and he is our father, I think he'll treat us all the same.
  4. Charly is one of my favorite non church movies!
  5. I live in Canada and I think our healthcare system is wonderful!
  6. Another thing- why is this forum spammed with all of the COMMENTS: MoreGoodFoundation? If I wanted to read/respoond to that particular forum (yes to respond you have to go out of lds.net and to another forum and sign up) I would be a member of that forum. Why drown us with that forums postings? Do you flood their forum with our current postings???? YES Thank YOU! I've been keeping my mouth shut, but this is really bugging me as well.
  7. Sweet! When i get baptised (one day) can i have a party too? :)
  8. I have all of them! Except i just found out my computer won't run the Sims 3.
  9. People just beliving what they've heard from unrealiable sources and don't make an effort to find out for themselves.
  10. They see it more as a torture tool, that was used to kill the savior. Remember it about what Christ did for us and not what he did it on. The symbol of the cross are worn by Latter-day Saint chaplains, who wear it on their military uniforms to show that they are Christian chaplains. I've also met a few members who have crosses in their homes and sometimes they wear a cross necklace. Its personal choice. There was a talk that i belive that Prophet Hinckley did on this topic, I can't seem to find it. However since i've read this talk I've adopted this LDS view.
  11. I'm not sure, its not our place to judge, that's between them and God Only.
  12. My husband is very against the church and won't talk with me about it. However i started watching Big Love and i really enjoyed because i felt it shed a good light on the 'mainstream lds charaters' that you see on it from time to time. Such as the main characters neighbors & friends. My husband started watching it with me and would ask me questions about the LDS Church, it was a useful tool to open up conversation about it. If HBO does decide to air this episode, we won't be watching it anymore.
  13. Soyez bienvenus à LDS.Net! Son bien pour vous avoir! J'espère que vous appréciez votre leçon missionnaire et apprenez plus de l'église. Mon français n'est pas si bon! :) Avec optimisme vous savez que je dis.
  14. LOL when you live here you don't even notice it, its that way on products. But it depends what part of the country you live in, East is more french than West. I live in Alberta and the only french i've seen is on product things like Cheerios Boxes.
  15. Yea we eat out alot during the week, about 4 times a week. So no we don't have a food budget, i cringe to think how much money we're wasting. If i do make a meal at home, it usually goes to the freezer. Hubby does'nt do leftovers.
  16. We don't use the Joseph Smith version of the bible because after he died Emma Smith, gave it to the RLDs. Because they had it all these years, the mainstream chruch can't be sure it has'nt been tampered with. LDS.org - New Era Article - Q&A: Questions and Answers
  17. Funny! But not true don't go spreading rumors! BTW we do have groundhog day ;0)
  18. We just need one up in Northern Alberta now!
  19. I've seen this situation a couple times, most of the time people wind up getting hurt because the other person its'nt willing to join the church and they break up. Or a person joins the church for the wrong reasons. However i think you should be able to date whoever you want, as long as you don't date to convert!
  20. Yes but you need premission from her family to summit her info. I know this because my friend's husband did work for his friend who died in a car accident when they were 16-17, he had to get premission from the family.
  21. My husband and I are looking into adoption, I checked out the LDS Family Services website. Does anyone know if they will help Non-LDS adopt? From the looks of their site it does'nt seem like it, some of their requirements for adoption includes being sealed in the temple. I'm just wondering because I know they help Non-LDS people who are pregnant and are considering giving up their baby.
