  1. To be honest, I don't quite paint a person as GREAT, just because I see goodness in them. I'm just saying I doubt many people would associate a person's positive characteristics with a religion. When you meet someone for the first time and see good qualities in them, do you automatically assume they are like that because they are members of an organized religion? M.
  2. Why would someone need to relate the kindness or good example of a person with a church? Why can't they relate your good actions with you as a person? Anytime I've met someone and noticed their kindness or any positive action or characteristic, I credited it to the person and not due to any organization they belonged to. M.
  3. I can't quit the conversation since you keep commenting/replying to my posts. That would be rude. 😊 BTW, all posters can reply to any post they wish to, whether you agree with it or not. M.
  4. I wasn't replying to the post above it, I was replying to the post I quoted. M.
  5. That's exactly what he wrote, I even quoted him. M.
  6. No I didn't. @bytebear used the words "habitual products", seeming to convey all habitual products are against the WofW. For one thing habitual can be positive or negative. There are good habits to have. I consider toothpaste to be a habitual product. People constantly buy it because they constantly use it, due to their habit of daily oral hygiene. M.
  7. I don't think I've done any such thing. Point out the post that makes you think I've done that. M.
  8. Wow! Toothpaste has got your panties in a bunch? We're talking about toothpaste Vort, not something personal. We disagree. I'm in favour of toothpaste, you're not. You don't like my link, fine, don't like it. But you will not convince me that your way of thinking about TOOTHPASTE, is correct. M.
  9. Seriously Vort, read what you've written. Of all the things to argue about on an LDS forum, you're arguing about how toothpaste appears to have NO POSITIVE effect AT ALL on teeth or oral hygiene. You've stated your own ideas about this without any references to back up your claims. I disagree with you, so you reply with name calling? How does that help your argument? M.
  10. What you have presented doesn't change the fact that oral hygiene is a good thing, not a bad thing; it's GOOD. Argue all you want, share your opinions all you want. It won't change the benefits of oral hygiene, which includes brushing teeth with toothpaste. M.
  11. I'm shocked. I was not expecting this anti-toothpaste, anti-oral hygiene view. Good luck to you and your teeth. M.

  13. I disagree. http://www.knowyourteeth.com/infobites/abc/article/?abc=b&iid=291&aid=1134 M.
  14. So in a round about way you are admitting to not having a great oral hygiene habit. My advice is change your attitude, poor oral hygiene can put you at risk for other diseases. M.
  15. Are you one of those people? M.
  16. A product used habitually doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. Toothpaste should be used as part of a daily routine. Brushing your teeth is a good habit. M.
  17. Are you thinking my comment is arguing? I was just not seeing any logic in your sentence, since to know that they gave lectures you would have to had heard them lecture. And since you didn't attend their tours, I was guessing that maybe you needed to "rephrase" your sentence. And look, you did. M.
  18. If you didn't tour the Community of Christ properties while in Nauvoo, then how do you know if they gave lectures? M.
  19. Here's an example we can contemplate: Since humans are not perfect it is natural that "typos" can appear in a person's written posts on a forum. The questions then are - Is it a sin for a person to not proof read their post? and Is it a sin that if they do proof read and notice all their typos, that they react with indifference and not bother to correct those typos? Another one that relates to this is - Is it a sin to be really annoyed by this type of behavior (not correcting typos)? This is not to say that I found Vort's thread with typos, typically Vort is very good about not having typos. I just found this thread convenient for me to point out my pet peeve with trying to read some posts on this forum. It's not like it's an all or nothing system on this forum. The great people that created this forum gave us the handy "Edit" tool to use. It's a magic tool that can be used for good. If you wish to communicate your thoughts in written form, it really helps if the words and sentences make sense. To those of you who rarely use that Edit button but who should, stop and ask yourself: What would God have me do? M.
  20. Just wanted to point out that even if you do go to a bar you don't have to order an alcoholic beverage. They do have non-alcoholic choices too. M.

  22. One misperception "is that … as soon as [my daughter] is done nursing, I leave my breast hanging out for the world to see, which is, again, completely inaccurate,” she said. “As soon as my daughter unlatches, I put it away immediately because I don’t want people seeing my breast. The only person I want seeing my breast is my husband.” https://www.sltrib.com/religion/2018/08/01/mormon-land-podcast/ M.
  23. I'm adding a link, a fellas blog about what he learned going through the clearance/cancellation steps. http://brettsbigbadblog.blogspot.com/2017/06/lds-temple-cancellation-and-clearance.html?m=1 M.
  24. This statement of yours is crap. This has nothing to do with, as riduculous as it sounds, militant women. How ludicrous! Breastfeeding is about feeding and soothing a baby. Even if a woman breastfeeds not to your standards @anatess2, that woman is not part of some ridiculous conspiracy; her main goal is feeding her baby. It's that simple. M.
