I Cant Wrap My Head Around Men Becoming Gods
Maureen replied to Ken S.'s topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
OK, so how would an LDS define dressing modestly or immodestly when it comes to men in your church? Let's say in a casual setting, what kind of clothing would be considered immodest for a guy? M. -

But modesty for LDS does not just apply to church. Since you're male (haven't checked your profile, assuming based on your username), how do you teach boys and men in your church to be modest with clothing? M. -

Why do you think modesty is only a female issue? If your church deems it necessary to teach, shouldn't it apply to both men and women? M. -

@Grunt, do you really think that the questions in bold that @Lost Boy listed are questions that an LDS member would not even think of or even wonder about? M. -
Wow, you are a very slow eater. 😊 M.

Sorry @hadl, Jets heading to the 3rd round. First 3rd round game starts Friday night. M.

Church announces date for complete split from BSA
Maureen replied to pam's topic in Church News and Events
Please explain what you mean by this. On one hand you seem to view other Christians in a positive way but at the end you invalidate that positive view with the word "crap". M. -
I am the happiest person. The Penguins are gone. Yay Capitals!!!!!! M.

Golden Knights are also into the 3rd round. M.

Do you HAVE to give up coffee or can you choose it away?
Maureen replied to NightShift's topic in General Discussion
As you can see my comment was in response to @mrmarklin's advice to switch to soda; which is terrible advice. M. -
What gospel knowledge makes you joyful? What should?
Maureen replied to richard7900's topic in General Discussion
Why should that not be? If you believe that God created that "warm summer day out in the country", why not be joyful about that? M. -
I've only checked out the first video and I liked it. I thought it was funny. M.

Both the cola product and Mountain Dew also contain caffeine and are bad for you. If you're going to tell people they need to give up certain beverages, then at least offer them a healthy replacement, not crap. M. -
I think between the Bruins and the Lightning, I will be cheering for the Lightning. M.

I now have to decide if I'm still cheering for the Predators or the Jets. My son is cheering for the Predators, because he thought the Jets played dirty against the Oilers this season. Decisions, decisions. M.
-
I'll be cheering for the Maple Leafs. 😊 If the Bruins win it won't be the end of the world, but still hoping Toronto goes onto Round 2. @MormonGator, it looks like your smelly Canadiens and my Oilers will have to look forward to next season. 😊 M.

Edmonton Oilers. I'm pretty well okay with any team in the playoffs winning except for the Penguins. I was hoping they'd be beaten in the first round. Now I'm hoping for the 2nd round. 😊 M.

I am. My team is not in the playoffs but I'm still cheering for other teams; Nashville is one of them. M.

Can I add two more S's? Soaking in the tub and/or Showering I think through this whole thread no one has mentioned these two activities that I would hope are practiced multiple times a week. 😊 Unless I'm wrong and Mormons actually bath with their garments on. M.

Can sports and exercise be put into the same category? Here's what Gramps has to say: https://askgramps.org/temple-garments-and-sports/ M.

Islam is a monotheistic religion. Muslims believe in one God (Allah). Muslims believe Muhammad was a prophet in a similar way that Mormons believe Joseph Smith was a prophet. Islam and Christianity share key figures of their own religious histories, Adam, Abraham, Moses and even Jesus. M.

N. Eldon Tanner does not back up this 1976 statement with any article showing that science has indeed proven this. We know in the 21st century that coffee and tea do have some health benefits. And like with anything, moderation is the key. https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/black-tea-uses-and-risks https://www.forbes.com/sites/daviddisalvo/2017/08/31/the-good-and-the-bad-news-about-coffee/ M.

@Sunday21, this article is not talking about abstinence with alcohol, it's talking about drinking over the recommended limit. You may believe you're right about not consuming alcohol, but this is not the article to use to back up that claim. M.

You are confused. The words you quoted were @Fether's. @paracaidista508 is just bad at quoting other posters. 😊 M.
