Prisonchaplain Prepares Presentation on Mormonism
Maureen replied to prisonchaplain's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
IMO, I think the term LDS was more popular maybe 5-10 years ago but now the term Mormon is making a comeback. Just look at this forum, changing from LDS.net to MormonHub. M. -
I'm going to put my non-LDS prophetess abilities to the test and say the next apostle called will be 60ish, a white male and from Utah. ? M.

This forum is not produced or affiliated with the LDS church - is this forum an open sewer? M.

What about Pink Floyd - Us and Them? Lyrics don't actually start till about 1:38. M. -
So far I've read that no media outlet has been able to confirm Tom Petty's death yet. M.

This is described as a documentary airing this Sunday, October 1st, on PBS. Who's watching? https://mormonhub.com/blog/buzz/entertainment/secular-joseph-smith-narrative-pbs/ M.

That's right, the whole idea about caffeine came from coffee and tea. And poor tea had that false accusation of containing tannic acid, but of course it is actually tannins which are quite harmless; cranberries, walnuts and other food items also contain tannins. M.

I haven't read through all the posts so this may have already have been mentioned. Back in the 70s when I was first introduced to Mormonism the culture was that caffeine was bad and should not be consumed. The slogan or catchphrase at the time for youth or young adults was "Lips that touch Coke, will never touch mine." As the years went by this attitude changed. When my SIL went to BYU in the 80s students there seemed less bothered by consuming Coke than those 10 years earlier. Decades later discussion about caffeine in Mormon culture is alive and well. M.

These TV shows are fairly new but their theme songs are, in my opinion, very distinct. Cardinal (Familiar by Anges Obel) and Good Behavior (Hard Time by Seinabo Sey). M.
-
Now I'm curious which song they picked. M.

Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas was eventually adopted as a Theme song for Supernatural but it's not a opening credit theme song if that's what you're looking for.
-
Elementary, Bones, Star Trek Voyager, Star Trek Enterprise (the Star Trek shows haven't been new for years, but there always seem to be re-runs). Not sure if any of your kids watch Outlander but it has a very memorable theme song. M.
-
I don't think Supernatural has a theme song. M.

I logged in without having to reset my password. I closed the site and came back to it within seconds and was still logged in, which is how it should be; so things are improving. M.

It's obvious the artist was challenged when trying to show body perspective for Eve since her legs definitely do not match well with her hips. M.

Exactly. @jewels8, what are feelings about Adam's somewhat nakedness? M.
-
Again @jewels8, learn to use the Edit button. That's what it's there for. It's not a sin to Edit. M.

This is my experience too. M.

Now that I've looked over the site a little more I see that the setup is very much like MDDB but the "Like" button choices are different and better. M.
-
I created a thread asking about this change too because it's very similar to MDDB, but now that I've peeked I see that the "Like" choices are better. M.
-
I had to log back in and noticed that the "Like" button has now changed to be like that on MDDB. Is there a connection between the 2 forums? M.
