Its not safe and its not healthy. But a couple of my husband's family members have this attitude. Also, our neighbor. As a friend and family member all you can do is be supportive. Ask questions, like you have here so that you know what is supportive. When you're giving gifts of food make sure they are low on the glycemic index. And... pray they will have a change of heart. With diabetics they really have to want to change their lifestyle and feel better or nothing helps much.

Incandescent Light bulbs being reformed in America
applepansy replied to Still_Small_Voice's topic in Current Events
I've tried the fluorescent in daylight. I can feel the difference and the vibration. My husband can't feel it, bu I can. Being in a room with fluorescent lights makes my body hurt. -
Merry Christmas to you all.

Our summer water restrictions are worse every year. We were told at a water meeting this summer that Utah State climatology scientists said our snow pack will be gone by 2017.

I'm a newlywed ...Should I get divorced?
applepansy replied to leo91's topic in Marriage and Relationship Advice
You need to read the foillowing blog. It made headlines all over the place. Marriage Isn’t For You | Seth Adam Smith Yes you should stay married. Then you need to stop telling yourself you don't love your wife and start serving her. Because that's what marriage is all about. Your chose your partner and Heavenly Father will hold you accountable for how you treat her. There are very few valid reasons for divorce. You don't mention abuse, so I"m going to assume she's not abusive either physically or emotionally. The other thing I'm going to ask you to do is Pray. Ask Heavenly Father to help you love your spouse. Women are intuitive. We pick up on emotions by the little actions and reactions we get from the people around us. If you're at the point where you come to a forum to post you're giving off vibes. I'm speculating but your wife might just be mirroring your feelings. Stop arguing and she will stop. Go to church but don't pressure her, she will go again. The first year is the hardest. But before you decide to throw the baby out with the bathwater be certain you're going to make your marriage work before you bring children into the picture. Divorce will hurt children forever. -

My husband cooks breakfast Christmas morning. My adult children always make sure they are home on Christmas morning for breakfast. Omelets, French Toast made with homemeade bread, bacon, sausauge, Hot Cocoa. Orange Juice. I have no idea what the big deal is but its important to our kids. Other traditions: Temple Square and seeing the lights Visiting family I buy at least one new ornament for the tree each year. The last four years our grandson has picked it out.

There is lots of wildlife where I live. Moose, Deer, Cougars, Fox, etc. -
The distribution center has temple clothing with elastic and hooks for people with disabilities. I adapted ours by removing the ties and sewing on white elastic with hooks on the ends. I believe velcro is available too.

Your little one is still a bit young to appreciate looking for the Elf. I'm sure next year is plenty early enough. My grandson was 3 when Cleatus adopted us.

I don't know where he got it. I reread The Hobbit last year after the first one. I didn't reread the appendix

The Hobbit. I was disappointed. The cinematography was gorgeous. It was well put together. They added a lot of stuff not in the book. My guess is that The Hobbit could have been made into two movies. It was entertaining but I kept saying to my husband. "That wasn't in the book" The other problem I had during action scenes was the camera was so close and twisty it was hard to follow the action. Especially during the barrel fight on the river. Anatess, Yes Legolas is gorgeous. Evangaline Lily did well as an Elf too.

TV without wifi - how do I upgrade it?
applepansy replied to applepansy's topic in General Discussion
Because that's about how far it is from the computer to where the TV will be. Unless we get a Roku. -
