Hormone imbalances are tricky. Not all prescriptions work for everyone. Sometimes herbal remedies are more effective and have fewer side effects than prescriptions. BUT, Start with her OB-GYN. Guaranteed he/she has dealt with this issue in patients before. I agree with Eowyn that this sounds more like PMDD than PMS. I'm sorry you and your wife are going through this. The bottom line is your wife needs to be held accountable for her actions. She needs to hold herself accountable. And she needs to accept help. She gets to choose and I hope she chooses to get help so that her family isn't living in hell every month. Living with a ticking time bomb isn't fair to you or your children.

I use 1.2.3 parenting until it doesn't work anymore. We're quickly getting to that point with my grandson.

Children not going to church or going to a Baptist church
applepansy replied to abeChristianson's topic in Advice Board
Pray for them. Be the type of person you want them to be. Encourage them to go to church. Then remember they have their agency and get to choose. If you are a good example of what being LDS means then none of the anti things she will be exposed to will make much of an impression for long. -
I loved The Peacegiver. I'm glad you enjoyed it too. Most of the people I've talked to who have read this book have had a similar experience.

I'm a people watcher. Today I was at McDonald's with my grandson. He loves to have a Mighty Kids Meal and play with whoever happens to be playing. I get to read or knit in an air conditioned place on a hot day while he plays. :) Today I saw two moms. After watching and listening for about 15 minutes I wanted to shake them up in a bag. The contrast between the two was just eye catching and not good on either side although some might say the one mom was better than the other. I started wondering who might want to shake me up in a bag and who I'd get shaken up with. I'm thinking my opposite would be: young, blonde, blue eyed to stared with. I'm going to have to ask my husband and family who would be my opposite in behavior or as a parent. Who is your opposite?

Spiritual Experiences from Unusual Sources

Tetris... :) It is a visual example of the line-upon-line concept. -
My husband is 56 and I'm 55. We're raising our grandson with our son. I've been co-parenting with my son for four years now. Grandpa gets to be grandpa most of the time. Its hard to raise a child at my age. I have health issues but that's not the only reason its hard. I know other grandparents raising their grandchildren (part time or full time). We just don't have the energy to keep up with young children. I wouldn't change anything and I'm glad we have this wonderful boy, but its hard. My sister (age 42) just had her 5th baby. Her husband is 50. The baby is 6 months old. They are exhausted. Their oldest are twin boys, almost age 17. Children are a blessing but dang its hard and the older you get the harder it gets.

Fair enough. But did you call Chevy to see if it was true? I wouldn't buy anything but a Kirby! I have had mine for 4 years now and I want another one. The warranty is worth the price alone.

We all put our foots in our mouths at one time or another. But this issue is a pet peeve for me. Appearances are never a reason to judge. And it goes both ways. People who appear well off who aren't and people who beg on the streets as a job and then go home to a nice house. I like the sign in our RS room this year. It says "Observe. The Serve." The only thing I'd add is "if church leadership asks you to help someone, do it....without complaining." We can never know and often its none of our business. Its never wrong to help someone, even those who ARE or appear to be better off than ourselves.

Wheat is still good for everyone except those who actually have Celiac. I read an article 2-3 weeks ago about research that showed a gluten free diet for someone without Celiac could cause more health issues. The problem with grains today is they are over-processed. We need to get back to eating whole foods, including grains. The WoW still applies today.

He might have thought it as taking away one more thing. And attitude of "you can't kill me nor punish me further because I'm going to take my own life." He made the choice not someone else. For me this was one more selfish act from a selfish man.

Pam... could the get-together be closer to the north end of SLC this time?

If you could have a new profile picture...

We used to be able to change our profile picture. What happened? -
The Tooth Fairy didn't pay for teeth with cavities when I was a kid but those without cavities were worth a quarter.

Kirby... my mom had a Kirby when I was a kid. It still works over 40 years later. I hated that vacuum. It was heavy and difficult to maneuver. But...IT GOT THE DIRT OUT! 40 years later... I bought a NEW Kirby. They are heavy but you don't feel it because the new transmission makes the vacuum light as a feather to maneuver. And... It Gets all the Dirt OUT! Love it and wish I had bought one a decade or so ago. Addtionally: Two of my kids sold Kirby's for about a year. I was amazed at what I found out about other brands. I wanted a Dyson...not anymore. I had been looking at the newer Hoovers... no way. I thought the Roomba looked cool. Who doesn't want a vacuum that runs itself...but it doesn't clean anything. I was surprised at the brand which voids some carpet warranties.
