  1. first three numbers are the day number of being packed starting with jan 1st as 001 and dec 31 being 365. If you have a number say 060 that means it was packed on March 1st. If my math is right.
  2. You dont have to be cool and outgoing to be a missionary. :) There are other missions. I knew someone that went on a work mission where he worked on building things. He was a young man. Older people often go on missions where they help with family history related tasks, give tours at various historical places, health missions, etc. Just a lot of different things that need done. There is a usually a sheet of information pinned on the bulletin board in the foyer of most ward buildings if you wanted to just look at that for information. There is so much that can be done.
  3. You cant make chickens with Walmart eggs. Oh and the last ones I bought were TWO MONTHs old. Finally found out how to tell from their code.
  4. My point is that the whole thing doesnt make sense to start with. Why did the officials think it was their precognitive to even give any orders in the case at all? Is that typical in England? If they feel they can give orders on personal choices between a father and her daughter then it follows they would feel free to jail her. They all ready seem to have shown their lack of respect for personal freedom of choice.
  5. My daughter, Talisyn, has interesting hair colors. Usual a burgundy red but occasionally blue or purple or whatever. She is active. Not a teenager either. Her daughter has some interesting hair colors occasionally as well. As far as missions go, no one is required to go on a mission. Also there are many kinds of missions available for those who do not feel able to go on a standard mission. As a member just talk to the bishop if you are interested. Have you read the Word of Wisdom? It has a lot about eating and health habits in it.
  6. Jay Leno did have a joke about him. The joke wasnt very memorable, in fact I dont remember what it was, but the Samurai Bishop has definitely entered into our national culture.
  7. It is bad for a woman to take her father for day trips or even year long trips if they both wanted? The woman seems odd but odd isnt a crime is it? He was a her father. He might have been equally odd and happy with it. He wasnt under nursing care. Just in residential units. Nothing in this story makes sense at all.
  8. Let the gas company find them. They want to lease and came to you not the other way around. I am not a lawyer but I would not do their work for them.
  9. Women who stay at home to raise kids but get their degree are following the prophets advice of being prepared. It is very difficult to get the degree after the husband dies and she has kids that need care plus a minimum wage job to get food on the table. Best to be prepared. That said there is more than one way to be educated. Even without classes there are these little things called books and internet. Women have the opportunity to chose how they wish to be educated and how they will use it. We all have that right.
  10. I remember that some said marriage would end up being redefined and destroyed. hmmmm.
  11. You can get new suits at the DI. They are not bad at all.
  12. You assume too much. Or does 'We' only include 'proper' LDS people who vote 'correctly'?
  13. They werent even from Chechnya. The media and social media keep saying that but they werent born in Chechnya or even ever lived there. Its like saying I am from France because some of my ancestors were. As hard is Chechnya is to remember how to spell, where they really are from is even harder to spell or even remember.
  14. Wow Boston is partying tonight! I bet those policemen never had so much support and cheers in their life before.
  15. I was thinking it cant be ironic that bombs at the finish lines take away the ability of people to be able to run. It is an added sickness to the whole thing. Those injured were most likely to be the friends and family of the runners. I will never understand how people can do these evil things. And even worse is 8 victims are known to be children, not including one of the dead is a 8 year old child. These people are following evil.
  16. I have never seen satan but i have felt him and it is something I do not like to talk about. It messed up an entire year of my life trying to get that memory out of my mind enough to sleep. It wasnt me that opened that door by the way. I was just there. My testimony bearing is never going to include that I know satan exists because even typing this post makes me want to throw up. Ok just wanted to say that he does make himself known and now I am going to go read about chicken raising to clear my mind.
  17. He and his neighbors were very lucky or protected by a loving father who knew little Tommy had greatness in his soul. :) And needed to learn obedience.
  18. I bet he was a real handful as a kid! He still has a twinkle in his eye! For me this is one of the things I love about him. He shows us that we can learn from our errors and become better people.
  19. Wingnut, when I saw the word agitate in your post, I realized that is what bothers me so much about the group agitating for the priesthood. We do not need agitators in the church. We need prayers and doers and people who trust in God. Agitation is not a Godly thing in my opinion. It is disorganized at its very base and uses anger as motivation. Are those traits of Godliness?
  20. Whats an arksteadier? Wouldnt steadying an ark be a good thing? Or not?
  21. It was consistent with other general conference prayers. I dont remember ever hearing a rotten prayer in general conference. :) I also dont remember anyone ever commenting on one before either.
  22. It is good to see faithful members around the world. There are other members with your same illness. It is not a weakness of the spirit. God loves us all. :)
  23. It is nice that she prayed. /shrug. I am curious how many who dont follow the Salt Lake tribune and/or internet gossip even noticed. I wouldnt have. Its really not all that exciting who prays. Women pray in church all the time. I did notice she was nervous to start and became less so as she went along. It was a good prayer and said what was needed to say.
