  1. What's wrong with RRS Name of Vessel?
  2. Cheesemaking. They will be blessed.
  3. Ideal experience; guys who reek of fish and one who goes door to door annoying people already. "You will be despised by many." "That's a big step up from being despised by all, Lord."
  4. http://www.prestonwood.org/about/our-locations Partial interior view: The mid size building there is a private K-12 school, though.

  6. They failed to address the most pressing question of the weekend though. The name and number of that redhead in the dark blouse in Saturday afternoon's choir. The cameraman seemed as impressed by her as I was, too.
  7. Every time I read the "great and spacious building" bits, I just keep thinking of the view of Prestonwood Baptist from Arbor Hills Nature Preserve's trails. Can't find a photo from the trail, and it's hard to get the full effect from any other angle, but near the observation tower, you can actually look across the river at this behemoth of a building dominating the horizon a couple miles away.
  8. I did Saturday audio only, so didn't get a look at their shaggy lawn backdrop until Priesthood. Then I went home and fixed the lawn mower because it kept reminding me of my back yard. FWIW, once you get the mower chugging, running a cup or so of Sea Foam through it does wonders. Guess maybe I should change the 10 year old spark plug one of these days.
  9. Weight can't change? What have I been exercising for, then?
  10. Heck, I've been wanting to go to an e-bike so I can still get a workout but not kill my knees on the hills around here, but even a low-end conversion kit for my Trek with a 5-10 mile range is as much as a beater Honda Accord by the time you figure in the battery.
  11. When base things and desires take priority over the marriage, equality isn't the biggest concern. Do you think it would be any better if both spouses shared equally in unrighteous acts?
  12. Because Webster's Dictionary, while it would have led to a very comprehensive religion, is even more bland to read than II Chronicles. And Animal Farm hadn't been written yet.
  13. Not really a problem. It's nice to get the occasional thumbs up from a random stranger. Was that my outside voice? Uh...I mean...I'd assume it's like that. Not that I'd know.
  14. I'm closing in on 40, divorced, only been a member for 5 years, and had a lot of things in my past. Obviously, anyone I meet isn't going to be my first, second, tenth...heck, I'm not sure I could count it up. Not much chance I'll be her first either unless I end up with someone a lot younger than me. I'm just looking for the right one so that we can be each other's last. That's what counts in the end.
  15. Not at all. I've heard a pretty wide variety myself on different occasions, from a clear voice speaking in unison with a missionary giving a friend's blessing to long gone voices from my past. Even occasionally a literal nudge in the direction I needed to go.
  16. If you need me after I die, I'll be in the land of bacon between the Dublin Dr Pepper river and the Big Red pond.
  17. I've been resisting the temptation to make a bunch of NdFeB dice and a steel table so we could try out tablebottom gaming. Could actually be kinda cool since everybody could lay heads-in right under a central play area, so sharing the expensive dice would be a lot easier.
  18. Where is their local LE? I've seen at least two claims of kids being hurt by adults in the rush, but no mention of anything coming of that. Seems to me like there's probably some video somewhere, and a couple of high-profile injury to a child trials could be pretty effective at reducing future incidents.
  19. For some reason, I first read that as "set alight." I wondered about the potential for serious injury to all present and damage to nearby buildings when all that hairspray goes up.
  20. Who's handling the over/under on how long it will be before some "good Mormon girl" turns down Wells or Empey for not being faithful enough since they got sent home early? Put me down for $10 on within 6 months.
  21. The percentage is pretty low, but I have had a couple of people who gave $10-15 cash toward paying off some of the other debt, which adds up pretty quickly when the excess is all going straight to principal. I'm also working a couple of other angles as far as finding a better car cheap. A major goal here is to have something that I won't have to overhaul for at least a couple years, or a pair of reasonably reliable ~$500-750 cars so I can slowly overhaul one while using the other, then once they're both rock solid reliable, sell one at cost to someone who needs it.
  22. That would be my guess; a few thousand emulators running in parallel is hardly beyond the resources of any major tech company. Especially one that specializes in data recovery. The fact that it took them this long limits the usefulness of the hack for actual terrorism defense, though; plans made a month or more ago would have already been used or changed to the point where any information would be of very limited use for anything except criminal prosecution...which in this case is a bit pointless since the guy's dead.
  23. Bummer. I was hoping you were making cube pythons, icosahedron pythons, maybe even nonahedron pythons.
  24. Say yes a time or two. Even make it easy stuff like helping you rearrange some furniture or finish up some repair that needs more than two hands, and watch how quickly they disappear afterward. I got help hauling a couple things up the stairs about a year ago, and haven't seen my home teachers or even the missionaries since. Only time even my HT companion has showed up was when I turned off my phone after Church so I could get a real Sunday afternoon nap.
