I was raised in the Church, and was always taught that those who do not have the opportunity to receive the blessings of eternal marriage in this life, will do so in the next life. And, yes, one must be sealed to a spouse to enter the highest degree of glory in the Celestial Kingdom; however, if one does not have that opportunity during their mortal probation, they will have that opportunity in the next life, so long as they are worthy.

About a week before my father passed away from melanoma, he was in hospice care at home. My oldest brother asked him if he had any pearls of wisdom to pass on before he died. His simple response was, “Yeah. Stay out of the sun.”

I doubt it went undetected. It was more likely ignored.

I made a Facebook account for the family cat. Why? I have no idea.

One problem, among many others, with the mandatory reporting laws, is that there is no accountability. So, if an ex spouse, vindictive neighbor, or a school employee that simply doesn’t like the parents’ method of discipline, calls CPS and reports abuse, they can do so without any consequences of making a false report or exercising poor judgment. Making a report to CPS is very serious, and can cause a lot of worry, stress and sometimes money to innocent families. Anonymous reporting makes it too easy to file frivolous reports. Now, people like educators are not completely anonymous, as CPS knows who made the allegation, but the parents are not allowed to know. And quite frankly, if my child’s teacher is making allegations about me, that puts my child in danger, and I should have every right to know who that is.

It’s funny how people will try to discredit someone because they believe Qanon, yet believe the conspiracies and lies spouted from the likes of CNN and MSNBC.

What is that supposed to mean? Did a real cat break confidence and gossip about about her?

Apparently, lilies are poisonous to cats, as evidenced by the deposit Arwen (our cat) made under our keyboard in the living room. My previous cat must have been anti-LDS. He would hide under the covers while I read The Book of Mormon and randomly reach out and strike the pages I was reading with his paw. I think he put a hole in a few of those pages.

My wife and I got our daughters a kitten two years ago. We all love that cat, even though she tried to eat the flowers my kids and I got my wife for Mother’s Day. Some say cats are evil, but our feline friend was caught reading “The Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley.” See picture below.

From what the legal analysts are saying, she could very well receive the death penalty, due to the cold and remorseless way that she had her husband killed. So, I’m assuming it’s still used.

Not entirely. She will still be sent to Arizona to be tried for the murder of her late husband, Charles Vallow. And they have the death penalty in Arizona.

Mike Pence is hardly a conservative’s conservative. And he did have the right to not accept the results of the election that day. His job was to make that decision, and it’s been proven since then that the election was stolen. As for things Trump said that day, there was absolutely nothing he said that would have put Pence’s family in danger. I watched his speech at the Capitol, and Trump specifically said to protest peacefully. Anyone who says otherwise either didn’t watch his speech or is a liar, or both. It proved that they worship Trump and don’t care at all about conservatism. It proves that some people still fall for the anti-Trump rhetoric rather than think critically for themselves.

Lately, my wife has been watching the Anne of Green Gables series. As such, I asked ChatGPT to write a crossover plot for Anne of Green Gables and The Terminator. Then, I had it write a crossover story for Anne of Green Gables and Cobra Kai. Both stories were….interesting.

I figured it was parodying the title “Gorillas in the Mist.”

I asked it to write a plot for a sitcom. Jedi_Nephite: Write a sitcom about a family of gorillas living in the suburbs. Title: "Gorillas in the 'Burbs" The show follows the adventures of the Silverback family, a group of gorillas who have escaped from the zoo and are now living in a suburban neighborhood. The patriarch of the family, Harold, is a strict but loving father who just wants his family to blend in with their human neighbors. His wife, Gladys, is a nurturing mother who is constantly trying to keep Harold's more wild impulses in check. Their children include teenage daughter, Tina, who is trying to navigate the complexities of high school while also keeping her gorilla heritage a secret, and son, Louie, a mischievous young gorilla who is always getting into trouble. Each episode finds the Silverback family facing new challenges as they try to fit in with their human neighbors while also retaining their gorilla instincts. Whether it's Harold struggling to control his temper during a neighborhood barbecue, Gladys trying to find a way to get Tina to the prom without revealing her true identity, or Louie getting into a fight with the neighborhood bullies, the Silverback family always sticks together and finds a way to make it work. At the end of each episode, the family gathers around the dinner table to share their latest adventures and reflect on the importance of family and sticking together, no matter what. "Gorillas in the 'Burbs" is a comedy that blends heartwarming family moments with wild, slapstick humor, and is sure to have audiences laughing and rooting for the Silverback family every step of the way.

I wouldn’t say the charges of harlotry are completely baseless. She was obviously spiritually disturbed. “Out of whom went seven devils” means that Jesus cast seven demons out of her. That only happens to those who are far removed from the spirit. That being said, because Jesus healed her, she regained the opportunity to become an “unusually virtuous person.” Her past didn’t matter anymore, as she made a firm decision to become a disciple of Christ.

I think the idea would have been fine if they would have used a fictional character instead of a historical figure. It’s still a good show, though.

Possibly, but Luke 8:2 does say, “Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.” That doesn’t necessarily mean she was a prostitute, gambler or a carouser, but people don’t have devils inside of them unless they are doing something in their lives to invite them.

That may have been implied, but what it did show was her drinking, gambling, and carousing with men.

Agreed. This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the show. I enjoy it, but they often take certain liberties that I don’t think are appropriate. One thing that bothered my wife and I is when they had an episode where Mary Magdalene relapsed to her previous lifestyle prior to getting healed by Jesus. Now, there is nothing to suggest that Mary Magdalene did such a thing. That’s one reason why her change was such a miracle. The justification by the writers of the show for her relapse was to show that we all repent and fall again. While that is often the case, I disagree with taking a historical person, who is known for her miraculous change, and making it less…miraculous. She was a devoted follower of Jesus.

The creators of The Chosen have said that Matthew is supposed to have a form of autism. I’m not entirely sure why they chose to write him that way, as there is nothing in the scriptures to suggest he had autism (as far as I know), but that’s why he seems a little different than the other apostles.
