  1. Of course there is corruption on both sides, hence the term RINO. But, let’s get real here. Conservatives are not the ones calling for abortion, inciting racial division, taxing everyone into poverty, pushing homosexuality, pedophilia, and transgender ideas as normal, nor are conservatives trying to remove God from society, nor are they trying to strip the free world of its God-given rights. However, liberals, do support these things. We’re also not talking about what would supposedly happen if they were grouped together on some island together. We are talking about what is happening right here, right now, today. And honestly, you’re going to find corruption among any group of people, but which group would you rather find yourself stuck with on an island? A group of liberals or a group of conservatives? You are correct, politics has never been an answer to the world’s woes, but it has always been a problem ever since the War in Heaven. The same philosophies spouted by liberals today is basically the same philosophies spouted by Satan and his followers then. The truth is, in this world, you cannot separate politics and religion, as one affects the other.
  2. Liberalism is evil, and a plague on society. Life would be much better for everyone if there were fewer liberals in the world.
  3. Exactly. I’ve noticed that the youth and young adults in the Church who are in support of LGBQT, BLM, and socialist/communist ideas and policies have parents who are also passive on these issues. They don’t seem to take a firm stance on anything, or are on the wrong side of the issue. That’s not always the case, but it is a pattern.
  4. Shakes them to the core? That sounds a little dramatic. People in the Church who leave over things like that, do so as a way to justify their wanting to leave. These same type people also tend to stop going to church altogether, not just the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Either way, that’s why it’s important to have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. When the Spirit testifies, it doesn’t matter what “facts” one can twist to try to make the Church look bad. People of today may not like what Brigham Young had to say back then, but it doesn’t make it any less true.
  5. I think there is much plausibility to the claims made in the Plandemic video. You have to do some due diligence to verify Judy Mikovits’ claims, but it is there. One has to wonder, why Would YouTube and Facebook go to such great lengths to have this video removed, unless there was some truth to it? There is plenty of garbage on YouTube and Facebook, but they consider this enough of a threat to have it removed? It doesn’t make sense. However, whether or not you believe the claims made in the video, it doesn’t take a conspiracy theorist to realize that something doesn’t add up here. This whole COVID-19 ordeal, and the government’s reaction to it, has never made any sense. Since when do we quarantine healthy people? And since when do we shutdown the economy, especially for months at a time? It’s unprecedented, unconstitutional, un-American, and just plain idiotic.
  6. My grandfather was a fighter pilot during WWII; he flew a P-52 Mustang. One day, while in battle over Germany, his plane was shot down, forcing him to crash land into a hidden German military bunker. Obviously, the Germans were not happy with him, as his crash exposed their location to the other American pilots still in the air. They surrounded his plane with their weapons aimed at him. He thought they were going to shoot him. However, as he climbed out of his plane, he lost his footing, and fell flat faced into a huge puddle of mud. The situation in which he found himself suddenly seemed so ridiculous to him that he started to laugh. His laughing then caused the german soldiers to laugh. This laughing broke the tension, thus saving his life as the soldiers decided to take him prisoner instead of executing him. He spent the following two months as a POW until General Patten came and liberated the camp where he was being held prisoner.
  7. It becomes tyrannical when our elected leaders start ignoring the Constitution, and abusing their powers. When people who are in need of various medical treatments for afflictions, such as cancer, but are denied because COVID-19 has suddenly taken precedence over anyone else’s medical needs, there is tyranny. When the livelihoods of hardworking people is shutdown during a roaring economy because of a forced quarantine on healthy people, there is tyranny. When doctors have come out publicly in support of a treatment, and are threatened that if they use it, they will lose their medical license, there is tyranny. It doesn’t have to involve shooting people in the streets, or public hangings. However, many, if not most, tyrannical regimes began similarly to what is going on in the U.S. right now. They claim they are trying to protect us, and expect us to give up a little bit of liberty so that we can all be “safe.” They say things, such as “We’re all in this together.” So, to downplay it by claiming that we don’t know what fascism or tyranny means because we haven’t gotten there, is missing the point. We know exactly what it is, we know exactly how these regimes got that way, and we don’t want the United States to turn into the tyrannical and third-world vile countries that they are. So, please answer my question - At what point do you think it becomes tyrannical?
  8. At what point does it become tyrannical?
  9. At what point would you start calling it tyranny then?
  10. Food for thought. https://mylifebygogogoff.com/2020/04/what-coronavirus-and-the-war-in-heaven-have-in-common.html
  11. I don’t think that’s the right question. It isn’t just about economic prosperity. It's about freedom. The government is telling people they can’t go to Church, deciding what businesses are “essential,” and, in some cases, even closing down gun stores. Who are they to decide that? That is completely unamerican. As far as Italy’s move to hold off rent and mortgage payments, what good does that do? That just harms the lenders which will have trickle down effect. Property owners won’t get their rent payments, so they lose their livelihood. Furthermore, I really don’t understand why so many people are soaking up all of the media hype. The Seine Flu produces caused far more deaths than COVID-19 has. The difference is that Obama was president then and Trump is president now.
  12. I’m not so sure about the bolded part. My concern is that we’re doing more damage than good. How much longer can the economy last with everything shutdown? And now that state and local governments have seen just how far they can control the masses without any real backlash, they will start doing this more often for just about any reason in the name of “public health.”
  13. I’ve heard several people suggest that as a possibility. I think it’s certainly plausible.
  14. My understanding is that the concept of Hell as a literal fire and brimstone originated from Dante’s Inferno.
  15. Exactly. Besides, I’ve seen plenty of movies about the Holocaust that were able to vividly depict the horror that it was without having to make its content worthy of an R-rated film.
  16. Correct, it’s not the same as illicit sex, but I think the verses are saying that it’s the same heart and spirit that would so. And the spiritual downfall is the same. As such, for anyone to suggest that someone does not need to talk to their bishop over an emotional affair, is misguided.
  17. Exactly. Not only that, but the scriptures are also very clear that lusting after someone who is not your spouse is a form of adultery: “Whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery in his heart,” Matt. 5:28. And “If any shall commit adultery in their hearts, they shall not have the Spirit,” D&C 63:14–16.
  18. Didn’t you basically just tell him to get everything out? Rip the entire tree out from its root, and all that? It’s not an “I got you!!” moment. We’re not talking about him catching his wife forgetting to put the cap back on the toothpaste or putting her on the show “Cheaters.” This is serious. If his marriage is already suffering from lack of communication and other issues, do you honestly believe accusing his wife of adultery is going to help things? His intentions may be innocent enough, and even understandable, but, the reality is that most women are not going to see it that way, especially if they are already unhappy with their marriage. He can try to tell her these are just fears he has, but she will nevertheless just feel accused. Quite frankly, if she is cheating, she has more to answer than he does. But, like I said before, if he finds out for certain that she really is unfaithful, it is something that he needs to approach with through prayer.
  19. @Fether offers some sound advice, but I would be cautious of telling her that you are afraid she is cheating on you. If she is cheating, it’s not something she is likely to admit. And if she’s not cheating, you have just made things worse by telling your wife you don’t trust her. If you seriously suspect she is cheating, I would find proof before confronting her about it. And if it does turn out that she is cheating, and you still want to save your marriage, I would fervently pray for guidance on how to approach your wife about it.
  20. We don't know that much about the Holy Ghost. However, when I was little, whenever I heard someone refer to the Holy Ghost, I always pictured this:
  21. About two years ago, my then 72-year-old mother was run over by a snow plow. Yes, a snow plow. Not the type that plow the city roads, but the ones you call to plow your driveway after a heavy snowfall. Given her age, it’s a miracle she did not sustain any broken bones, let alone survive. However, she now cringes whenever she hears the sound of a snow plow backing up.
  22. No. My wife still uses her Hotmail account.
  23. Several heroes have also lived trying that. Sometimes, the only thing you can do is improvise the best you can with the situation at hand, with the one second you have to think about it.
