My understanding is that energy can convert to matter and matter can convert energy and that the "void" of space is full of energy. I don't know how the two are differentiated, I would assume behavior.
I also don't understand what a "virtual particle" is, but that's apparently what they're referring to when they talk about particles coming from nothing. I don't know if they Think of these particles as energy or as matter.

I think what changing  there was occurred before He became a God. I suspect there hasn't been much changing after that. As to the idea that God has never said this idea just occurred to me, we agree with that. Mckonkie gave an address on this subject but I don't have time to look it up right now.

You have stumbled upon one of those few truly foundational doctrines that raises the eye brows of us non-LDS. You answer is perfect too. Once it is accepted that there was an apostasy, and that there are modern revelations on par with scripture, then the difficult doctrines can be explained.  Those of us on the other side of the fence will continue to raise theological eye brows, and we will continue to enjoy the often-interesting interfaith discussions that result.

My thoughts about environmentalism are that we should have an environment and we definitely need to think about it more. Not enough thinking (and doing) will lead to not enough environment.

It depends on what you say the foundational concept is.  Communism = economic equality; Naziism = unity.  Both goals are laudable in and of themselves.  But there are costs to both; and to promote their goals both governments had to make national boogeymen of whatever minorities were available.  It's just that Commies picked their victims for primarily ideological reasons; whereas the Nazis picked them mainly along ethnic lines.

So there are some who would disapprove of writing in the temple. But there is a Divine precedent for writing ON the temple in Alma 10:2 and we have been counselled to follow the example of our Father in all things.:)
I am Amulek; I am the son of Giddonah, who was the son of Ishmael, who was a descendant of Aminadi; and it was that same Aminadi who interpreted the writing which was upon the wall of the temple, which was written by the finger of God.

The whole Sermon on the Mount, the New Testament version. There have been times in my life when I had the whole thing memorised, but its been a while now. I should try to memorise it again.

More months passed again.  Local leaders had this whole big go-to-the-temple-kick… and I couldn’t stay in the room.  Lesson after lesson.  Week after week.  At the 9584th lesson on this (obvious a number exaggeration) I felt this prompting: “hey, you go talk to your VT about this”.   So after the lesson, I went and asked “hey, do you have sometime this week I could stop by and chat?”  Abridging the story: we spent the next two hours in the nursery as I just balled.  And balled.  And then cried some more.  And somewhere in there did actually do some talking.
My VT said “You know, I actually have a meeting schedule with the temple president in a two weeks.  Is it ok with you if I chat with him about this?”.  Two weeks later I get a phone call: “I talked with the temple president and he wanted to personally welcome you and your written prayers to the temple.”
WOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was overjoyed.   I quickly made preparations to go.   A week after this awesome phone call, the temple president personally visited my ward, and asked specifically for me by name.  Wow!  And what a sucky week to miss church because of a sick kid!  J

Since then I’ve been several times and…. I am home and I am singing.  Life is amazing and God is beyond amazing.

As to "5" we're still evaluating the mathematical feasibility and potential utility of the concept. We don't just take it for granted the way most people do.

Pretty much nobody gets a free ride when they join the church. The trials always come, either before baptism, in which case some decide not to proceed to baptism, or shortly after baptism, in which case some decide to fall away. There is enormous variety in the trials people have, but there is no variety in the fact that they come. There is also very little variety in how people respond to the trials: it's usually either growth or failure, with the decision as to which it will be being made by the person experiencing the trial. I recommend you choose faith, happiness, progression, repentance and righteousness rather than bitterness, failure, regret, loneliness and despair.

This comes from the online edition of the main daily newspaper in Australia's second most populous State. Typically, Year 8 students would be 14, which is 2 years under the age of consent here. I'm surprised and disappointed to see parents complaining about receiving an email from their kids school promoting sexual abstinence.
A state high school in Victoria has set a controversial goal to "delay sexual activity in school-aged youth".
Parents of year 8 students at Officer Secondary College were shocked to receive an email on Tuesday promoting abstinence as part of the school's Respectful Relationships curriculum, a state government initiative aimed at stamping out domestic violence.
Officer Secondary College parents received an email promoting abstinence as part of the school's Respectful Relationship curriculum.
"Our shared goal is to delay sexual activity in school-aged youth," it read.
One parent, who did not want to be named, said the school was sending students a "damaging, archaic" message by telling them to abstain from sexual activity until they graduated.
"It sets up a culture of shame around sexual desire and feeling, and a culture of secrecy when students are in relationships," they said.
Another parent said that while they didn't want their children having sex early, it was inappropriate for the school to promote abstinence. This created shame, and stopped children from getting help, they said.

The First Presidency assigned me to come here a few years ago. Now that I've done such a great job making things so much better than they were before they are now talking about sending me to a much worse assignment - to gator land with a special focus on practitioners of polygamy

@clbent04, I don't know if this will help you, but it keeps coming to mind, so I'll repeat it here in case it will help you.  Some years ago, I recognized that there was something I wanted which was simply not right.  But how do you rid yourself of a desire?  Self-control by sheer will power will only work for behavior and only for so long when you want something else.  Since I could think of nothing else, I determined that I would include in literally every prayer I said a request that the desire be taken away.  And then I got up and did the best I knew to obey the gospel as I understood it (I did the Sunday School answers with the best intent I could muster).  It took about 2 years for me to notice any difference - by that time, I wasn't looking for any difference, I was just doing my best, following the routine I'd established.  It came as a surprise how much my heart had changed.  It wasn't me who changed my heart - I still couldn't begin to tell you how to do that.  It was Christ.
If you haven't done that, I recommend you start right now and continue for however many years it takes.
A lot of all the other stuff you've been saying in this thread and others is seriously Satan's lies and deceits designed exclusively to get you to give up hope.  Christ has said that as often as we repent, he will forgive.  The difference between Celestial and non-Celestial beings is that the Celestial beings kept repenting and the non-Celestial beings gave up.  Don't give up.  You don't have to obtain mastery of every weakness in this life - that would be a cruel joke as none of us will succeed at that.  I am 100% convinced you will have as long as you need to obtain mastery - or as long as you need to give up once and for all and condemn yourself to a lesser kingdom.  Which of these you choose is up to you.
When I said to tell Satan to take a hike, I meant it literally.  If you are alone (or with those who could appropriately hear it), say it out loud and invoke Christ's name as your point of authority.  If you are among others, simply say it in your mind.  Kick him out.
(There are lots of other things you need, but you cannot possibly do this without Christ changing your desires and without kicking Satan out.)

Agreed with @ziland @DoctorLemon. The only one who doesn't want you at church is Satan. When it comes to the Celestial Kingdom, Christ really can bring you Salvation, his Grace is available to all and you can do this with his help and strentgh.
