  1. Don't OVER think things. If you don't act, then how can good things happen to you. She could be thinking*... that When the time is right, HE will let me know.* Ask her out to a show and dinner- let her pick the show then you pick the restaurant. Hyena, you HAVE got to give yourself more credit than what you have been doing so far. It is my understanding that you are over the average weight - well Bucko, personally, this gal here has always favored over average weight fellas. I married wrong the first time (he was an atheist, skinny and oh so vain), then Father made sure that I married correctly the second time (he is LDS, secure in his own standing in the world & life). Yep, he is way over average weight! Your Ward knows you are new to the faith. And honestly the only stupid questions are the ones you ask just to get attention from. If you feel more comfortable with a more private setting, invite your Home Teachers over and ask them. Go to your Bishop and ask him. Continue to come to the Forum asking your questions. With love in the Gospel, your sister in Zion, Iggy
  2. I *shopped* online for 5 years before finding THE house. We were living in Arizona, and I was looking in Washington, Oregon & North Dakota. After checking out articles in the local newspapers about the job opportunities, weather, crime and comparing store ads, I always ended up in Oregon- my old town - looking for a home. There were lots of houses for sale. Stick built, manufactured, *Needs TLC* ( should be torn down), brand new build (owners ran out of money & the contractor wants to get paid), and been on the market since parents/ gparents died & we want it off of our hands. Had I found this house three years earlier, I would have bought it, moved and been waiting for Hubby when he finally retired. As it was, the owners didn't list with an agent the first two years. The price was $30,000 more than what we paid for it. I sent two girlfriends to look at the house. One was a Realtor, the other was a land surveyor. Both told me that this house needed some superficial TLC and new steps on the back porch. Both told me that if I didn't buy it, they would ~ it would make a great rental. So I packed up a suitcase and drove from Central Arizona to Central COAST Oregon. Looked the house over from the outside. Finally got the realtor who had it listed to let me in. He was rather put out when I asked him to wait outside in his car. He was reeking with bad vibes and cigar smoke ~ I could barely tolerate being around him. The house breathed a sigh of relief when he left. The carpet needed cleaning - there was brown stuff in nearly every room. Turned out to be Soy Sauce. [that leaves stains and will not come out totally]. Two of the window screens were ruined. There were tiny little colored beads EVERY where, and 22 broken crayons down in the register in the *Den*. The house talked to me. It was so desperate for a loving family to live there. To have laughter brightening and filling it's rooms once again. I took 78 pictures of the interior and 76 pictures of the exterior. Sent them via email to hubby along with the information I had gleaned regarding the owners. Two days later Hubby had sent me a proposal to give to the owners via the creepy Realtor. I couldn't afford to stay in a Motel for another 7 days, so I went to Seattle to stay with my sister there. She tried to get me to purchase the house down the block from her. She would even pay the difference in what we would pay for the other house. Nope, don't want to live THAT close to Sister. Our love and relationship thrives on distance. The minimum we can be is 300 miles. Finally we heard back from the owners. ( a month later) They accepted our proposal - we offered 5,400.00 LESS then their asking price, but we would pay 6% down, then $250.00 a month until Feb of the new year (this was in Sept) when we would pay the balance off + interest of 2% on the balance amount. They pay their Realtor, we will pay the closing cost of the Escrow company. When I got the key and took possession of the house - I spent the night there. I had brought my twin inflatable camping mattress. Bought a set of sheets and a fleece blanket. Three pillows. The house has been a happy house since. I really should have painted the interior before we moved everything in, but I just couldn't decide on the color(s). I lived in the house for a month before hubby came up to get me. He brought 6 large plastic totes of food storage with him. I cleaned out the HUGE kitchen cupboard and emptied the totes, then we took my car home to AZ with us. While I was in the house I had all of the faucet handles changed to paddles. Had the exterior door knobs changed to paddles too. Had new Hi-Rise faucets installed in the kitchen and had the garbage disposal removed. The court rules say No to disposals. The septic system can't handle it. Had the carpet cleaned. It was 2 months later that we moved in. We had a ramp installed on the back steps, the roof patched, new window installed in the kitchen, new trim put up around the outside of the windows. New water lines inside to all of the sinks, new handicap toilets in both bathrooms and handicap rails in both bathrooms. I made new curtains for the dining room - same material I put on the seats of the chairs. Removed the plastic venetian blinds at all of the windows - they did their job and it was time to retire them. Put up inexpensive black out liners. Finally got the front flower area done. Next to do is bring in a load of driveway gravel and level out our parking area. Really want to put gravel along the side of the house and in the smaller than postage stamp *garden* at the very back of the house. BUT I want it roto-tilled first- set aside an area to plant flowers/veggies and then have gravel walk & sitting area. But the owner of the lot (we rent) needs to come and mark where the underground utilities are- so we don't dig and put rock over. This house, manufactured home is a 1993 build. We need to replace a few windows- when we have the money saved we will replace them all. The back steps leading to the back of the house need to be replaced - but I want to do a porch all the way to the end of the house, then do steps. It is in great condition, insulation is good, the roof will get replaced in about 5 years and by then I should have settled on a color to paint the exterior. The is our *Dunmovin* home. It sings to me. It is a happy house, a happy home. This is the first home I have ever owned outright. This is probably the last home I will own.
  3. Who is the brother of Curly and Larry.
  4. What was stressful was the medical bills that kept showing up. Mom was *visiting* second son in Missouri. DIL was driving her home from having a Mani-Pedi. The car hit one big patch of black ice, spun around like a top going down a gradual incline and slammed against a light pole. SIL had bruised ribs, forearms and forehead. Mom died one hour after arriving in the ER of the local hospital. She never regained consciousness. Mom was in the later stages of Alzheimer's. Her health otherwise was good. Her Dr had told us that her brain would shut down long before the rest of her body wore out. She was 86 when she passed. The hospital kept sending bills. Medicare paid some and rejected quite a few. We rejected the last 6. The date on them were 7 days to 4 weeks after she had passed away. Applepansy, don't be sorry. One of Mom's most favorite things was road trips. Put her in a car, and drive for at least an hour in any direction and she was happy. Before her Alzheimer's, she would hop in the car and spend the weekend on the road with one or more of her grandchildren, or by herself. We were more concerned about SIL - her injuries were very minor considering the damage done to the car - it is her emotional and mental health we are still concerned about. No way do we hold her responsible. Not even for a micro-second. BIL is 55 years old. He has been on drugs since he started smoking pot at 13. Their father's *drug* of choice was alcohol. He died as a result of alcohol. BIL has a rap sheet that could wallpaper a 15' X 20' x 12' high room. He generally only spent a few months in the county jail. Then when his Mother passed he was nearly done with a one year sentence. Second brother will have nothing to do with him after seeing what he put their mother through. THAT is a story that would take months to tell! Suffice it to say, he needed to go to prison for that and never get out. He will pay for it, in the eternities. He will also pay for what he did to his own minor daughters. Husband is the eldest, he is 15 years older than the brother in prison. Oh, BTW BIL did get caught in Mexico. They turned him over to the American Boarder Patrol. Had he been further into Mexico, they would have kept him there in prison. The attorney Husband used was an old friend of Mom's. When we got the first phone call from the Leasing Company, Husband called him. That is when we found out he had passed. His secretary kept the phone he originally paid for. She worked out of her home as his secretary because he spent so much time on the road and she had babies to raise. She started as his secretary when she was a 25 year old unwed mother of one. She married, had 4 more children and is now in her 60's. Hubby doesn't know if he can endure more legal stuff. We have baby brothers inmate number and the address of the prison. He feels that there just won't be all that much money coming from the lease - so why bother with an attorney. Mom had 20 acres that she sold, retaining the gas, oil and mineral rights. This leasing company says that they want to lease it for the gas. I am seeing $ signs- I think Hubby needs to have an attorney word the agreement to the Estates advantage. Mom actually sold for a pittance - - and now this company is intimating that the lease is only worth 480.00 + $ a year. I say rent on a house is triple that a MONTH! They are taking natural gas out and only want to pay that much a YEAR. So, yeah - need to get an attorney who knows his/her stuff. Skippy and JAG thanks for your comments. I totally agree that we need to get an attorney. Probably one who is licensed in both Arizona and California.
  5. We just found out that JS got caught transporting marijuana across the Arizona/Mexico boarder. He is in jail waiting to be taken to the federal prison. At least he plead guilty and didn't cost the taxpayers with a trial. I know I am going to really get in trouble for this- but I wish he had gotten caught on the Mexico side of the boarder.
  6. For any probate or estate lawyers that might be on the forum. My husband's mother (ES) passed in Feb of 2008, leaving no will. My husband, her eldest son, (RS) was appointed as Executor to her estate with no restrictions. ES's residence was in Arizona. Probate closed w/all monies to be divided equally among her heirs: RS, FS & JS. Once all the medical bills, etc. were paid, the balance of the insurance monies were divided among the three sons. In April 2013 it is discovered that she still has the gas, oil and mineral rights to property she sold in Lemoore CA back in the 60's. A leasing company wants to lease the gas, oil and minerals and is requesting copies of her death certificate, court order of Executorship and notarized statement of the living heirs. RS's question is: Am I still the executor of the closed probate estate? If so, then can't I just do everything, collect the lease money and distribute it equally among my brothers? The youngest heir, JS, is in and out of jail in Arizona, and his address' are unknown. Not only is he a convicted felon he is also a drug addict. It is nearly impossible to find him, let alone to get him to sign papers. He never showed up for the Executor court hearing back in 2006! Another chink is that he is somewhere in Arizona and we are somewhere in Oregon. The second eldest son lives in Missouri, and we live in Oregon. Getting a signature from FS is not a problem. The reason we are asking is the attorney that handled everything in Arizona has passed away, and no one has taken his clients.
  7. You might want to email her and ask for references to back up her statement.
  8. Seriously Anatess - not all cats are that way. I have two. Brother and Sister. Fred loves to be petted, cuddled, and squooshed behind you on the chair or sofa. He head butts me until I lift my arm so he can be *hugged* to my side. He will flip on his back, put his head into my hand and purr like the engine of a 747. BUT if you pick him up and nom, nom,nom his belly - he will run off as soon as you let go of him. Husband has noted that when I do this to Fred, he may run off but he has drooled enough to sink the battleship! Fred loves to have me nom, nom, nom the top of his head and neck - but NEVER the belly. Oh, and he smells just like a kitten though he is 11 years old! I absolutely love his scent. Now his Sister Ethel is a different story all together. She wants to be held, snuggled, petted and loved ~ but she is so dang timid that she won't get up on your lap, or next to you on the sofa or chair so that you can love her. BUT she will embed herself on the ottoman when you brush her with the DOG brush. Yep - it has to be a dog brush and not the wimpy cat brushes, and you better brush hard and with feeling! Ethel doesn't smell as good as Fred. Can't figure that one out. The longest I can go in one sitting is three hours. Then my arm falls off! The Chapel is NOT a place to be *making out* - their Bishop needs to be told of their actions and BOTH of them need to realize the wrongness of what they were doing. If they can't restrain, then get married and confine it to their own home. I have been in a Branch longer than I have ever been in a Ward - thus our Chapel is a multipurpose room. Don't have stationary pews - we have interlocking padded chairs. The older I get the less I care what others think of what I am wearing. Sometimes dresses/skirts are just NOT comfortable. I wear them mainly because I don't have any slacks that are more comfortable without being old, worn and overly baggy. In Casa Grande I wore slacks to church on Sunday. When it was the season for deluge of rain, winds that blew heavy cars around, and dust ('em actually it was dirt!) storms that took the paint off of everything - I wore pants (nice slacks) so that my tush would not be exposed.
  9. As long as your kitchen is free of drafts and warm, there is really no need to dirty yet another dish or use more electricity than you have to. My mother made bread for her entire married life. At one point she was making 17 loaves. Not your tiny little loaves either. Hers were 2 pound loaves. I make bread. I spray a stainless mixing bowl with olive oil. Place the ball of dough in it. Rolling the dough around to completely coat it with oil. Then I place the bowl on the range top. Cover the bowl with lightly greased waxed paper or parchment paper, then cover that with a clean, dry terry cloth dish towel. My range top is draft free. I generally make four batches of bread - each batch is 3 loaves. My oven is really small and can only handle 3 loaf pans. Do you proof your yeast? If your yeast is dead, the bread won't rise. To proof the yeast: Dissolve the yeast in 1/4 to 1/2 cup warm (110 degrees F) water. Add a large pinch of sugar or 1/8 to 1/4 tsp of honey. Let stand until doubled. It will be frothy. I have bought yeast packets at the store, proofed them and not have it get frothy and doubled in the measuring cup. I always use a cooking thermometer - always. I always proof the yeast - always. I keep my yeast in a very clean, glass mayo jar in the fridge. I measure out what I need for all the batches I am making at least 15 minutes before I will need to proof it. If you think your water from the tap has too much bleach fill a pitcher with tap water and let sit overnight, with only a paper plate for a cover. Also if you grind your wheat - and don't separate the bran from the flour - your bread won't rise the second time properly. Measure your flour w/the bran in it into a bowl. Then separate the bran by using a very fine sieve and shaking the flour through it into a bowl and the bran into another bowl. Make your bread with the separated flour, adding the bran at the very end. If you are using fresh ground wheat or commercial whole wheat flour, then you really need to add Vital Gluten along with the proofed yeast. Whole wheat is heavier than general purpose flour. I've been told that old flour will not rise as well as fresh flour. Well, I doubt that because I have used flour that I had in the freezer for 5 years, and my bread rose beautifully. To know if your bread has risen enough, stick your finger in the dough up to your second knuckle. If the hole does not fill in, the bread has risen enough. To check when it is in the loaf pan, only go to your first knuckle and do so at the side just above the rim of the pan. If your dough gets bubbles in it when it is in the loaf - then it has either risen too much, or you did not punch it down enough to get the bubbles out. Remove it, punch it down and remove all the bubbles. Reform into a loaf and let it rise again.
  10. I am in Oregon - will post on your fb page.
  11. Berry! Great to see you. Four grandbabies , that's wonderful. I pop over to your FB page every now and then just to make sure you are okay. Glad to see your *fingers* are in tip-top shape. Hope you visit & post a lot. My husband's daughter's third daughter had a baby 6 months ago - so now he is a Great GrandPa, making me an honorary Great GrandMa. We are watching her grow up via FB! (where is Elphie to correct my use of apostrophes).
  12. Ask where they got them from. You can NOT use seeds that are sold for planting for anything other than planting. They are coated with chemicals. Grains for animal consumption are also coated with chemicals, and more often than not are gmo seeds. Check out food co-opts that sell organic grains & seeds. You can grind, sprout and plant organic seeds & grains. I don't know if the grains that the lds church sells are organic or not. When I was price checking the cost of wheat through Emergency Essentials was the best. Not necessarily the cheapest - but the best. EE wheat is triple cleaned, and for me that was worth the extra cents per pound. For the other grains, seeds and bulk spices I get them at the organic food co-opt two cities away for almost 1/2 the cost of the two online sprouting places I had been getting them from. Check out Fred Meyer & Win-Co. Our Fred Meyer just beefed up their Organic/Bulk department. Haven't yet been to Win-Co in person. Have checked out their bulk items via their web site. When I do go to Win-Co (which is three cities away in the opposite direction) I will be in there for at least two hours just writing down the prices. To repeat: Make sure that the grains & seeds you get for storage are organic. Ask the retailer where they get them from. Ask to see the bulk labels- where it states that they are organic. Store them in air tight/moisture proof FOOD GRADE containers. Trash bags are NOT food grade. No matter what color they are or aren't. I vacuum seal all of my grains & seeds. I weigh out my wheat into 3.5 pound bags and vacuum seal them, then I store them in rectangular Rubbermaid or Sterilite bins/totes.
  13. Ask the Stake President, considering he is the one who ultimately approves what goes into the building, whether it is paid for by the church or donated. If this is in a specific Ward/Branch then it would be the Bishop/Branch President. No the chairs are not something that are provided the same for all the meeting houses church wide. In our little branch our rocking/easy chairs were donated. After 15 years they finally tossed the upholstered swivel chair that came from a smoking non-members home. That thing has been cleaned, sprayed and left outside on sunny Saturdays and still it stunk. Mothers would bring a blanket to cover it with, then put the blanket into a plastic bag to transport home to launder. One of the members did a complete remodel of their home and donated three ubur comfy chairs to the Branch. One for the chapel (we have a gentleman who just can not sit in the chapel chairs), one for the nursery and one for the Sunbeams class. They also donated a *love seat* for the new women's restroom *sitting* area, where some Mom's prefer to go to nurse. The one provided was about as comfortable as a cement bench! That got moved to the RS Room.
  14. Welcome to lds.net ~ glad to have you aboard.
  15. When I first met Hubby via a LDS based internet singles site - there was so much about him that rang *my bell*. I only wanted a priesthood holder friend. A single man that I could talk with, ask questions of and not have the impropriety of doing all this with a married man. Quite a few of the branch members were going to the temple, so I went with them. I fasted, and while in the temple I prayed for guidance as to whether this man I met online was for real. Was he all that he said he was? I knew I was. That I told the truth via my profile and our letters to each other. When I entered the temple I was confused about this budding relationship. When I left the temple that day ~ I had a clarity of thought and feelings about him. Yes, he is what he says he is. Yes he is honest. Yes he is for real. Over the next week, our long distance relationship intensified. At each increase (can not think of a better word) in our relationship I again fasted, went to the temple, did not only the endowment but also initiatory, then asked Father if he is to be my eternal companion. Never have I had such a feeling of peace and joy before. My heart nearly jumped out of my body - and I felt as though I had been embraced by Father. As I left the temple, the single word YES echoed in my head. We proposed to each other via Yahoo Chat 13 days after we *met* online. Before we had even met face to face. Before he came to get me, my two cats, 1/2 of my books, ALL of my food storage, ALL of my power tools, etc. I went once more to the temple. Again I fasted, again I did initiatory's, again an endowment session and then sat in the celestial room and thanked Father for the many many blessings that He has *poured* down upon me. For me Fast & Testimony isn't reserved just for the first Sunday of the month ~ it is for when you need to converse heart to heart with Father. When I go to the temple for me - to converse with Father, then I fast. When I go do to proxy work for my ancestors or for others, then I do not fast. I too am on medications that require that I eat before, during and after I take them. I do eat just enough to help the meds work- and I increase the spiritual part of a fast.
  16. Tough, came across this on my FB- let's see if I can put it in this post. IF not ask your Mom to show it to you via her FB- https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/580723_452729308131732_1663995777_n.jpg Yep it works. Just add some colorful ribbons as it is braided. Bright neon ones cause your daughter is a brunette.
  17. Iggy

    Get rid of it!

Could have put a plant (African violet) in it.
  18. Get to know your visiting teachers. When they come to visit you, ask them questions about themselves ~ Get to know your visiting teaching companion ~ ask about her life, now and when she was growing up. Relate a little of your life before to her. Go to all of the functions. Pot lucks, RS Evening Meetings, Young Women in Excellence, etc. Become a familiar face. When I married hubby #2 and moved to his state (Arizona)- we ended in a HUGE ward. I was so used to and comfortable in my itty bitty Branch where I knew everyone. I was lonely for three years. Then I got angry & decided to get to know my Home Teachers & Visiting Teachers. For the first three years they never came to our house! For the first three years, we didn't have a clue who were assigned to us. When I found out who our HT were, I invited them to my house. Caught them at church and invited them to come over on the next Tuesday night. They came, which surprised me. Hubby and I asked them questions about themselves. Their conversion to the Church. Then I found out who the VT Coordinator was, found her at church and asked who were my VTeachers as well as who was my companion & assigned sisters to visit. Then I found them both after RS meeting, and invited them both to my house for the following Saturday. Spent that time asking them about their conversion to the church. I did the same to the RS President and her two councilors. Invited them to my home for lunch. Then I attended every pot luck, picnic, Ward event, RS Enrichment/Evening meeting. Our house was so far out that it was difficult for the missionaries to come for dinner ~ but there were two widowed sisters who lived in the same area- with their permission I brought dinner for all of us. These two widowed ladies were not related and lived in separate homes. The missionaries actually rolled up their sleeves and washed the dinner dishes after we ate. While the neighbor sat in the kitchen they gave the lessons as they washed, dried and put away the dishes. You said We ~ I am assuming that means your husband is what makes You a We. So, invite other senior couples to your home for dinner. We have a dining room table that can sit six. So I invite two other couples. Then there is our HT. His companion is one of the YM from a part member family. Have never seen the YM outside of church! Our HT is the 1st Councilor, and he brings his wife with him. She is the YW President. They have two boys. One in primary and one in YM. For last Christmas Hubbies brother sent us a Tur-Duck-Hen. We have yet to cook and eat it. First of all, we both got sick, 6 weeks worth of sick! It is now time to invite them all. It is way too much just for the two of us. We are going to invite our HT, his wife and two boys and our neighbor (who are also members of the church) and their teen son to dinner. The boys will sit in the living room around a card table. The great thing about this Hen stuffed into a Duck that is stuffed inside a Turkey is they are all boneless! If I could sit just two more people at my table I would have our missionaries over and feed them too. Oh, I am still friends with my old VT & the two widows in Arizona. My husband is FB friends with the HT and I write snail mail letters to the single sisters that hubby and I HT! You are only as lonely as you choose to be. Come a bit later to Church and sit next to someone, rather than wait for someone to sit next to you.
  19. How is it any different than adding a brightly colored ribbon when you braid your hair? My Dad used to French Braid my hair and braid in ribbons that matched my clothes. I would have three and sometimes six different colors. Tough ~ I am 60 years old ~ so this was quite some time ago. The pink strip, isn't it just an add in? Extension? Why don't you have her do some ribbons in bright pink braided in a few thin braids?
  20. Me too, except for the lanolin in the Bag Balm and Udderly Smooth. My hands would start to itch like crazy- deep to the bone itch. Lanolin! So now I have to carry a wallet size magnifying glass so I can read if there is lanolin in the product. ~ bummer
  21. I use to use Palmer's Shea Butter cream. It is like lard - BUT you have to put it on right out of the bath/shower. Like my dermatologist told me, to moisturize dry, dry skin - you need water trapped under a layer of oil. So don't dry off completely. Rub the shea butter on, and then in. I wear a pair of cotton ankle socks so I don't slip and fall. My husband puts it on his face and chest. For some reason his chest is uber dry! Used to be able to get it at Walgreen's and Walmart. My Walmart doesn't carry it anymore I have used Udderly whatever - again, right after my shower and not when I am fully dry either. My feet, elbows and hands are so dry they crack and bleed. So I often sit in the tub seat and soak my feet, and keep a sopping wet cloth on my elbows. I move the tub seat to the rug, sit down and pat the dripping water off and put the lotions on. Udderly isn't near as good as Shea Butter. We got Luanne Coconut Oil from Walmart, so that my husband could eat a tablespoon a day to help with his memory and other health issues. I got some on my hands and thought, Ooooooo wonder how it would work on my elbows??? So, I soaked my elbows for 15 minutes, then put some coconut oil on. AMAZING results. I soaked my feet, and had hubby soak his feet. I now have a jar of coconut oil for hands, feet & elbows and one in the kitchen for him to eat. One thing about the coconut oil - the results seem to last a day or two longer than all of the other creams and lotions. Also, if you go barefoot and your carpeting is man made aka nylon, it will suck the body oil right out of your feet. Same if you wear nylon hose/stockings. So, you will need to moisturize your feet AND you will need to put something between your bare feet and the carpet. Like slippers, flip-flops, cotton socks. etc. The reason my elbows are so bad is that the arms of my office chair is fabric - nylon fabric. I have wrapped them with cotton hand towels, but that still drys my elbows out too much. Another lotion we are using on hubbys legs and my back is Now Solutions Comforting Massage Oil. It contains: Grapeseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kerne Oil, Aroma Oil Blend [Lavender Oil Blend, Pine Needle Oil (Siberian), Palmarosa Oil, Patchouli Oil, Chamomile Oil, Geranium Oil] ad Vitamin E (natural d-alpha tocopherol). Of course it is Organic and spendy. 16 oz bottle cost $19.95. BUT a little goes a LONG way. It smells wonderful & softens the skin. It does need to be patted off. But it also lasts longer. Had it done to my back two nights ago, have showered twice and my back is still smooth and soft. Need to do the coconut oil on the elbows and feet though. What I really like about the coconut oil on my feet - there is no scent added to it. It is pure. With diabetic feet- any scent will creep into the cracks and wreck havoc causing infections. Oh, another cream, salve to use in a pinch is A&D Ointment. Not the one with zinc oxide in it thugh. I just found out that I am allergic to lanolin - did you know that there is lanolin in some fabric dryer sheets???? Couldn't figure out why my bum had a blistery rash. Dryer sheet in with the garments. So I used Bag Balm & it was getting worse. Got the magnifying glass and lo and behold lanolin is one of the two ingredients. Got A & D Ointment and over night the rash is improving. I tried some of it on my elbows and hands and it is pretty good on them too. Now I have to not use dryer sheets with my garments. I only use them to stop the static, guess I will have to read labels.

  23. Truther ~ What I have learned from reading your 9 posts in your four threads you started and in one other thread started by another is: 1. Your wife and her family are *born in the covenant* people. In LDS lingo this means that her Grandparents were married and sealed in the Temple before they had her parents. Her parents were married and sealed in the Temple before your wife was born. 2. You're daughter is 23 years old and is endowed. 3. You have been married for 25 years. Thus you married when you were 17. 4. You are baiting the members of this forum. You already know the answers to each and every question you have asked. How could you not know after living with your very active in the church wife, and her entire LDS family for 25 years? Were you in a coma for the majority of that time?? 5. My theory as to why you are doing this is that you have already asked these questions, received answers from your In-laws, and have argued, dissed them and gained absolutely no ground with them. You do not want the truth, you want to argue. You want at least one LDS person to agree with you. Not going to happen!
  24. After having to deal with periodontal disease for the past 6 years, and the loss of half of my teeth as a result of not taking care of it properly. Was not told that this disease needs to be treated on a daily basis~after the root scrape and deep cleaning. Any way ~ new dentist, aggressive treatment to save the remaining lower teeth. Brush with nearly any toothpaste of your choice. He prefers Crest. Using this little brush shaped like a tree, http://www.gumbrand.com/interdental-brushes/ brush between the teeth close to the gum line. Then I am to floss, rinse & gargle with water. Then rinse with 2 teaspoons of Act mouthwash. Swish through the teeth for 20 to 30 SECONDS. Spit, do NOT swallow. Do NOT drink or eat for 30 minutes after. My gums had receded so much I was afraid the teeth would just fall out on their own. After 3 months, the receding has stopped, and now more of my teeth are covered by my gums. I had deep pockets of 4-5 also. Last Monday went in and the pockets are at 2-3. Great improvement. Because I will have a partial retainer on the lower jaw - I will have to be extremely diligent with my cleaning of those remaining teeth. The upper teeth will be extracted. There is too much bone loss to save them. Had I been flossing, using the interdental brushes, and using a mouthwash, my upper teeth would not have gotten beyond saving. Personally, I can not see how swishing oil in your mouth where no natural oil ever exisits will help to keep your mouth, teeth and gums clean. Act is a moderately priced mouth wash. Give it a try and see how clean your mouth feels after. Note: Flossing & using the interdental brushes removes plaque and food debris. Swishing anything liquid in your mouth for 15 minutes will rid you of all solids - but it will not removed plaque.
  25. Speaker wire to install in his home. Stainless steel deck screws. Gardening supplies. Washers/o-rings for the faucets. Cleaning supplies. For the last three years I worked there, and then for the 2 years I worked at the local grocery store - he was a regular shopper. I see him at Fred Meyer & Walmart quite often now. One time when David was in the hardware store he was looking for washers. I asked him what project he was doing. He got snooty and implied that I wouldn't understand. So, I dragged him to the gardening sections, showed him the washers there, then to the electrical dept. Kitchen appliances (blenders use washers), to the bolts/screws etc. ~ metal washers there, finally to the plumbing. He apologized to me and said that he needed washers for the leaky faucets in his house. Ah, another dilemma ~ all faucets use different washers/o-rings. He went home and brought me the hot water innards to every faucet in the house. After about the 5th visit to the store - he acted like I was a celebrity hound. To be honest, I am not. So I asked him how he put his pants on. Before he could answer, I asked him to think about it first. Before he left the store he sought me out and asked me for the answer. Feet first, just like EVERYONE else. A few months later David came in with Jamie Farr. I was in the back store room. The cashier called over the PA system that I was needed at the front. When I got there, Jamie Farr was standing there. He grinned, asked me if I was the one who so pointedly put David in his place? I didn't exactly know what he was talking about - so he said - Feet First. He shook my hand, gave me a hug, & then they left. Both of them laughing and repeating Feet First.
