  1. I am not proud of it, I just can't help it
  2. I have never had to prove I pay a full-tithe I just say I do when the Bishop asks me.
  3. Taking the sacrament is important to me but I don't always go to church to get closer to Christ.
  4. We do have temple recommends. I can't do it in this heat I read the book of mormon for 15 minutes a week and the bible for minutes a week.
  5. I know a woman from my previous ward who had 6 kids and all 6 had Cystic Fibrosis I was good friends with her son but sadly he passed when we were 23. I think the chance of your hold having cystic fibrosis if you're both carriers is 25% so she was unlucky not to have a child without it.
  6. Feeling guilt is okay, it doesn't mean you are still guilty. I have guilt over things I know I have been forgiven for.
  7. When I was inactive I was so anti-Mormon I got myself excommunicated for doing something to "expose" the church that I deeply regret. I was forgiven when I was baptised but I still feel guilty that doesn't mean I don't know that I am forgiven or that I need to constantly talk to my Bishop about it but if you want to go ahead, he will just try to help you feel less guilty. You won't get into trouble. You may always have guilt that doesn't mean you are still guilty of your sin or transgression. Guilt isn't always a bad thing it will help to ensure you don't do the sin again.
  8. My wife and I were talking and she told me that we need to be more active now because she thinks that once the baby is born she can see us becoming inactive. I tried to claim I was very active but my wife pointed out lots of things that made me realise we may not be doing too good spiritually. Do you think these are signs of becoming inactive: - We haven't paid a full tithe since being married - We never wear our garments except to church and to the temple - We haven't been to the temple in 5 years except for 2 family weddings and we live 30 minutes away from one - I deny every calling I am given (my wife doesn't but she doesn't enjoy them) - I never bother to watch general conference - I still haven't heard a single thing Prophet Nelson has said since becoming the Prophet - We have attended one ward event in the last 2 years - We have never had a family home evening since being married - We only attend church on alternate weeks now (due to circumstances out of our control) - When I attend church I often skip out after the sacrament meeting But I still feel like I have a desire for the gospel and we haven't broken the word of wisdom intentionally during our marriage. So I don't think we are at risk of becoming inactive because we want to keep our covenants. Do you have any advice on how we can make sure we stay active?

Easy bro you will be singing God Save the Queen next.
  12. If I raise my child and they decide they want to be a Lawyer like myself or a Doctor or go into academia like their mother, then my wife and I would support them financially as best we could. I would always put my kids first, I am young and having my first child so hopefully after I put them through college I will still have time to save for my wife and myself's retirement.
  13. Why should she stop doing something just because he dislikes it, maybe he needs to get over himself.
  14. My parents didn't have a college fund for me I got a soccer scholarship. I will have a college fund for my kids, that is part of being a parent is paying for your kids education.
  15. 100 percent agree a strong woman is a blessing to any marriage. I have lost count of the number of times my wife has had to pick me up and tell me what the best thing for us to do is. Sure I could call my wife stubborn or defensive but I appreciate her strong-mindedness and her ability to stand up for herself. As a plus she stands up for me a lot too If I ever tried to pull this on my wife: I would be living on the couch. Your wife is not a child for you to correct or boss around, give her your opinion and talk it through.
  16. Maybe you just need to treat your wife better 🤔
  17. My wife and I were reading an LDS family guidebook to prepare for our first child, this D&C was quoted in it. “Inasmuch as parents have children in Zion, or in any of her stakes which are organized, that teach them not to understand the doctrine of repentance, faith in Christ the Son of the living God, and of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of the hands, when eight years old, the sin be upon the heads of the parents. “For this shall be a law unto the inhabitants of Zion, or in any of her stakes which are organized. “And their children shall be baptized for the remission of their sins when eight years old, and receive the laying on of the hands. “And they shall also teach their children to pray, and to walk uprightly before the Lord” (D&C 68:25–28). Does it mean that if your child doesn't want to be baptized when 8 years old then their sins are taken as yours? Honestly, I never bother with D&C because they confuse me and generally just bore me but this one popped up and has intrigued me.

yeah when I played football in Denmark my team played a friendly against the Danish under 21 squad and Schmeichal was in goal. I won a penalty and he saved it
  19. I still haven't listened to anything President Nelson has said since becoming the prophet. It isn't a big deal that you missed a talk for youth
