@Magus and this is for everyone not just Magus. Abuse is NEVER acceptable, especially physical. We have a situation here where Magus is being treated very abhorrently by his spouse. She is even shaming him for wearing his garments!!! So what is she going to do if you wear your garments? Cheat on you? I mean why is she is even mentioning her sex drive being affected by you choosing to wear your garments? That is manipulation and very disgusting. The fact that she is hitting you means that you are already past the red zone and in the black. In the military that is the lowest you can go. You guys are rock bottom. At this point something needs to change drastically. You can't hit her ever again, next time she hits you, you need to leave the house and call the cops. You may need to get some cameras installed in the living areas "public" so that you can capture the abuse. You need to make a family plan for your two children. Find someone who can watch them if ever you need to have your spouse arrested. Before a new fight erupts you need to go to therapy. Have a guardian already picked out before you go though. By law therapists have to act when patients inform them of abuse, suicide, basically anything resulting in significant harm to an individual. You need to be honest and make a plan with your therapist to positively cope with stress and turn this sinking ship to safety. DIVORCE may be the best choice for the children with you at full custody. She can help the family by going to work. Her abusive ways will have to be proven in court so make sure you get the evidence you need by: recording, calling cops and having them photograph your bruises, scratches, cuts, and having a couples or individual therapist treatment records. Build your case and hire a good lawyer IF your marriage is beyond resuscitation.

*Side note: I worked for an LDS Book Stores when I was young. The LDS sister manager/owner of the branch would have us push certain books during the month by saying how spiritual they were and how they had such a good message. I told the manager I didn't read all the titles and therefore couldn't recommend them. I was told to do it anyway. It would change as authors made book deals. I never read them but the Mormons just ate it up, feeling all holy in the bookstore. Buying their 14k Gold Joseph Smith ring because a circle on top of a Circle means Eternity! Buying overpriced painting (Copies) to make you feel spiritual at home pffft Haha Money, money, money, money My favorite items were the Utah Truffles and that dvd player the filtered out bad words. If this is all of it then all of these have an easy remedy; just do them. Not really much else to say. Cool. I didn't vote for Trump but I am not stupid. He is actually getting stuff done. I like that he is wanting to make things better with the UN as far as us not footing most of the bill. Hello, Don't feel bad. My mentors growing up were polygamists and I already knew a lot about things before I even "officially" was taught them. As far as the sacredness just keep moving forward. No sense in feeling bad about the knowledge you gained, keep it sacred from now on Things you did before your baptism, that were already taken care of during your missionary lessons, don't need to be brought up again. Thank you! It is good to see thoughts in here dissecting this wonderful history. I like a lot of what I am seeing. To me the idea that God needed a devil is outrageous. I agree with @Traveler that Satan was trying to emulate having The Christ title and introduced the fruit to our first parents without permission. I am sure down the line the Savior would have explained to them the purpose of the fruit and given them the choice to become mortal. Oppositions exists and even without the sons of perdition this world would have been hard! Natural disasters, illness and fighting among the mortals. Things would have been pretty close to what they are now I believe. Like I mentioned on another thread, I think the Sons of Perdition are still here because: 1. they are still part of this generation (assuming a world's mortal life span represents one generation of children overall; death + resurrection and 2. Perhaps the perdition could somehow repent and receive some kind of mercy whether a late second estate or a better life in the first estate becoming holy and not devils anymore. I don't know. I have no idea who wrote this sensationalized piece. While I am not going to bag on Grandma Eve (Condemn) her for eating the fruit I am not going to high five anyone that she listened to Satan. Grandma basically had the purity a child from what I understand, she was duped into eating the fruit from a being with his memory intact. So if you are imperfect that tree would have trapped you in your sins forever disqualifying you for going back to the presence of God and also exaltation. I am not sure if the tree of life is symbolic but since the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was real I imagine it was too. I am not sure if once the children of men (mortals) received the sacrifice of Jesus then they could partake of the tree of life OR if it was an entire plan altogether (such as being in the Garden, eating the tree of knowledge of good and evil, living mortal life righteously, receiving sacrifice of Jesus Christ, dying in righteousness, Resurrecting as a perfect being, going back to garden to eat the sealing fruit to make your perfect state last forever) No idea. All I know is that Tree is guarded by Cherubim and a Flaming Sword so we better have the answers to get back in. Somewhere things got jumbled up in our records. We have most of the pieces right now and I suppose things will be revealed in due time. Most of The Book of Mormon is still sealed, I am sure things are further explained there. We seem to be stuck on a wickedness-righteousness cycle as a WHOLE so I suppose we just keep moving along in the meantime.

Hey Brother! Glad you came to us. Let me see... Well you do have a problem on your hands. Her prior abuse? is not your fault (don't ever feel like it is) However it is your problem now too. If you did your homework before hand I am not sure but this should have been know before you got married. Now that you married and committed to the point of having offspring together you owe it to yourself and baby to get counseling. Individual and couples. Might be expensive but worth it and don't be afraid to change counselors until you find one that suites you and is fair and impartial for the couples portion. If you are both willing to get help then awesome! If one of you isn't well... some major prayer and fasting needs to be done. If you exhaust your options then by all means do what you have to be happy (meaning divorce, nothing crazy) but imagine looking back on this situation (if this is the only negative) there may be some regrets but I understand hating life everyday is not healthy at all and can lead to even graver sin. Keep your covenants and ask God to help you solve this. He will show you what to do. Most divorce occurs purely out of selfishness. From one or BOTH parties Hope things get better sooner than later
