Complete agreement there. That’ll be the death of us. Eventually the beast will turn on her own citizens.

Remember when they beat Duke in Coach K’s last game? I like Coach K, I always have- but ouch. What a good bye gift.

We go against Tennessee today in both baseball and basketball.

Borders, Trade and International Developments

@Carborendum said, “And with their population being so small, they are hurting right now.” I responded by saying they have one of the highest abortion rates in the world. That’s probably a key factor why their population is so small. If abortions outnumber live births, then you’ll probably have fewer people. -
And we’re only barely scraping by Missouri.

BYU better dig deep. It doesn’t look good. 😞

Especially one that leans heavily left. I don’t get it. -
It’s a bit more complicated than that. Some people genuinely think government is a good thing, and they are gravely concerned about what will be taken away from them. It’s not what I believe-frankly when the government shuts down I want to drink champagne. I love what DOGE claims to but I see the other side’s POV.

Why No Crosses?

I have a thing for watches but I don’t wear a wedding band either. Instead we have multiple tattoos dedicated to one another. Been married for 23 years now so it works for us. -
TH is awesome, and I love it here, but it’s important to remember that we represent about .00000000000000000000000000000001% of the LDS population. Our opinions mean a lot to ourselves and hopefully to one another, but in the big picture we aren’t that influential. If the leaders and other people enjoy the songs they are here to stay.

If you want to read an easily accessible one, start with Free To Choose by Milton Friedman and Rose Friedman.

Actually yes. If you read history you’ll find it’s incredibly barbaric and violent. Today is a cake walk of flowers and sunshine compared to the past. Life and reality? Again, yes. Talk to families who have lose loved ones in DUI accidents.

In my dream world a government would have a monetary policy, enforce contracts, wage war, and punish those who hurt others. Other than that, nothing else.
-
You aren’t. By American standards either.

All of the liberals I know want their mom or son to be operated on by the best doctors, their plane to be flown by competent pilots, and their steak made by a chef who knows what she is doing.
-
I totally agree with you there, 100%.

I’ve been semi active in conservative circles for decades now and I’ve never heard anything close to that. Unless you have friends in the KKK or some other extreme far right group, this hard to believe.

How much bass is too much? (And other...stuff)

(For the record, since the only things that truly matter are baseball and music, I can’t stand the Grateful Dead) -

It’s the Grateful Dead you conformist! -
That might be the description of Trump that I’ve ever heard

Bingo. Close to 20% of Israel is Muslim. https://www.allmep.org/resources/the-muslim-population-in-israel-2024-israel-central-bureau-of-statistics/#:~:text= At the end of,(2.2% in 2022).

That was uncalled for. We know nothing about his politics. Wait until he tells us his view on economics before you assume he’s a socialist. For all you know he could be a devotee of Margaret Thatcher.

Old school thread. LP and I still talk about once a week. She’s doing fantastic. 🙂
