No, they don’t. Unless your opponent is asleep, incapacitated, or you sucker them with a grab and you know exactly what you doing with 40 years of experience . And even then adrenaline can kick in, rendering your “pressure points technique” largely useless.

About the heckling-a strong person either ignores, counters back, or uses it as motivation. I was booed at my high school gradation. Dead serious. My ex girlfriend brought her new boyfriend (her brother was in my class) to the graduation and when my name was called, he booed me. And instead of whining, I blew him a kiss. Shut him very quickly. Same with sports. Use it as motivation instead of whining, playing the victim and complaining. I’ve never been booed in TKD (playful teasing doesn’t count) but if I was I’d work harder. Who cares what they say if you win and succeed?

You could look at it that way. Or you could see that sports provide character, discipline, health and friendship. All qualities that make a person a much better person. Even putting all that aside, humans need enjoyment. Sports provide “good clean fun”. Sure, some fans take it too far, but don’t let those jerks ruin it for you.
