Maya Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 the first snow is a fact around here. This mormning I woke up in to a white world. It kept snowing heavily for at least 3 hours, so we had at least 5 inces snow everywhere. my son is to drive his drivers license today . His words: Isn`t that typical! Quote
siouxz72 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Sometimes I wish I lived where it snowed..but then I remember what a bad driver I am and know that our Heavenly Father truly cares about me enough to let me live where there is no snow :) Quote
siouxz72 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 ps! love the picture you attached! is that your place? Quote
pam Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 I can't believe we are discussing that horrible "s" word. hahahahahaha Quote
Elgama Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 its snowing here about 3 or 4 months early -Charley Quote
Canuck Mormon Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 I'm surprised that we haven't got snow yet. In fact, it's supposed to be 20 degrees Celsius today and stay warm all weekend. I kind of like the snow, but not the bitter cold. Hopefully it will be a white Christmas this year. Quote
StrawberryFields Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Everytime I see a thread begin like this I think one of our members here has been posed a question. I love snow in the mountains, grasses and trees.... B E A U T I F U L Quote
pam Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 haha SF. My first thought was it was about Snow from the site. Quote
SundaeSarah Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Still sunny and warm and dry here - high today of 25*C or 75*F. It's only rained about 4 or 5 times since May. I miss green and cool and wet and cloudy!! Beautiful picture of the red fence and trees and snow. I"ve never seen a red fence. Quote
havejoy Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 I moved from Ohio, where it snowed all winter to South Texas 31 years ago. I've only seen real snow once since I've been here and it was over a foot of snow on Christmas Eve a few years ago. I miss it. Quote
lilered Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Well, my bride and myself just returned this afternoon from a wonderful boat ride on the lake we live on. It was a wonderful 70D, no wind and clear sky. The water was as smooth as glass, so keep your snow, I would rather boat than shovel. :^) Quote
Moksha Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Snow and ice cause you to fall down and hurt yourself. Hopefully we can support a ballot proposition limiting snow fall to the ski resorts. Quote
Maya Posted October 30, 2008 Author Report Posted October 30, 2008 heh... Pam I sent you snow in a pac... watch your mailbox... The picture is from last winter... had no time to take a picture now, but it looks alike. It is a pic of my flowers outside my condo... I think that is what you call this kind of housing. lilered... I love sailing! No sounds of engine and especially when the wind howls in the mast! (was that english.. mast... maybe norwegean?) This morning as I was waiting for my plane to teke off from Oslo AP snowflakes 1-2 INCHES big, maybe even bigger were falling quietly from the sky. You hardly could see for a while it was so dence. Luckily the plains were on time. I used to love slalom, downhill... but my knees just cant take it any more. Also skeing in Norway is up hil 2 miles and down 2 miles.... Not for me, I just want small humps up and sown like 3 minutes up 1 down. I really love sailing.... You can see our snall catamaran in my pictures in my profile. Quote
