I heard somewhere that the world will not end on that day, but change. I'll believe it when I see it though.

Isn't there supposed to be a end of the world in October this year by that preacher who said it should of happened last April?

I think this theory just makes sense. After all, the Mayan Calendar ends in 2012, so that must mean the world is ending.

Hang on a tic...

*runs off to check his calendar* AAAAAAGH! My calendar ends in January 31st of next year! DOOM! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*deep breath*OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The world changes every day.

If you are a student of scripture, history and current events you should be keenly aware that events have been happening for centuries, of which have been prophesied, especially in the Book of Mormon and the Bible. They are happening today. They will also happen in 2012 and years after to come.

I'm kind of hoping it ends December 21st. My birthday is 2 days later and I won't have to put up with my kids making jokes about me becoming a highway speed limit.

A while back there was an article about how the Mayan calendar was translated in to ours to get the dates..

I beleive they said it could be off by as much as a hundred years. I can see if I can dig up the article again if people are interested.

Anyways its based on the Mayan 5000+ plus year long count calender starting over... The closest we come to something like that is when the year 2000 came around. And we all remember how that went.

Here is my thought on the 12/21/12 it will be followed by 12/22/12

Why because I believe that we have not seen all the events that need to occur before the end. One of them being the church spreading to every nation and kindred tongue has not happened yet.

The next thing is the 10 lost tribes need to return and if they return I have to believe we will have to have some time to get use to that little event.

Last I think it was Christ himself that said no man will ever know the day I chose to return and isn't all this 12/21/12 stuff based on man?

Oh well I do think things will change on 12/22/12 why because it is a new day, will things get better or worse I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Pam as to becoming a speed limit well all I can say been there done that and looking at becoming the maximum legal speed limit one day. ha ha

Heck if I am lucky one day I will be able to say I remember when we ........ you fill in what ever you want as I plan on living until I am 130, why? my answer is why not?

Most people would just lay the age jokes on even thicker before that date just to make sure they got them in on the off-chance that the world did end.

I'm not like that though. I'm the nice guy around here.

She should thank her lucky stars speed limits are measured in mph in the States. Else there could be jokes about this:

Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

That's pretty much how I feel. Nobody, including Jesus Christ, the Son, knows when the 2nd Coming will happen except the God the Father. If the world ended because that's the last day on the Mayan calendar then going by our calendars here in the US the world would end once every year.

Well the speed limit through my neighborhood is 10. Some might think that's the age I act already.
