Wow...last I checked I was like 6-7K...I've passed 10K posts now. Hmmm...if even a tithe of my posts were worth anything, I've made a kilo-controbution. :D

Do we all get the day off in honor of this milestone ????:eek:

Okay I provided this moment of silence. You posted at 12:14 p.m. I am now congratulating you on this momentous occasion at 12:27. Was that a long enough moment of silence?

Don't worry, only the real nerdy ones laughed out loud.

So you're saying I'm real nerdy?

;)

And way to go PC! :D It does feel interesting when you see yourself hitting a mile-marker in your posts. Brings on a bit of nastalgia, a sense of accomplishment.... and also maybe a feeling that you spend too much time online. :P

If you know what 3.14, 42, 1024 are and the pick up line "Baby, if they made you in Java, you’d be the object of my desire." does something for you, then yes, you are nerdy. :D

I like pi, it's my irrational desire.

Boy, oh boy.....I try to socailize with you nerds....I just don't fit in. I bet my husband would get it. I get pi, but that's the only one.

42 - Answer to life, the universe and everything* (from Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

1024 - It's a computer thing: Binary prefix - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

*Type "Answer to life, the universe and everything" into Google to be amused.

Oh, my. I knew I was nerdy, but I'm even nerdier than I thought. That pick up line really cracked me up, and every time I see 42 I start singing in my head "So long, and thanks for all the fish!" ^_^ Yup. I may have gone overboard on the nerd scale.

I can never remember the difference between geek and nerd, but after reading this I must be a geek because this went right over my head. :)

BTW PC, congrats on 10 grand!! I don't even have 5 grand yet, probably because I have to work for a living. ;)

I can never remember the difference between geek and nerd...

A geek is highly proficient at technology to the point of madness. A nerd makes the technology feasible. It's the same as "I love pushing the buttons" vs "I made it so the button actually does something."

BTW, 10,000 posts... Is that your wife calling in the background? Do you remember what she looks like?

PC, you know with 10,000 posts on an LDS site, you have almost completed all the requirements for being an honorary Mormon. The only thing left is to get you baptized...

;)

Wouldn't that make me a real Mormon?
