@Mirkwood why didn't you say something when DoctorLemon mentioned Christmas?  Huh?  Huh?

I love Halloween and used to get really into it, but it's also the day my dad died, so it's bitter sweet.  I think God took him that day so I would never forget the anniversary.  But, I also really like Thanksgiving too because it's a mini family reunion, from several branches of aunts, uncles, grand parents, cousins.  I just love having everyone together.

In principle, I love Thanksgiving the best. Just the idea is wonderful, and with food and family added in, it's always been a favorite. But for actual execution of the holiday, I think my Christmases have overall been more memorable. Maybe it's the weeks off of school that did it. Still, I'll go with Thanksgiving.

Count me as another Halloween hater.

I missed it.  @DoctorLemon did you mention that holiday before October 31st?

If you are referring to Labor Day, under no circumstances should it be celebrated.  If you are referring to Mischief Night, it probably should also not be celebrated unless you enjoy getting arrested.

As for Halloween, it can be loads of fun if done correctly.  I like to fire up the oven and make Halloween Breakfast for Dinner, including pumpkin-shaped Nutella pancakes and lots of healthy turkey bacon.  Then, I take my daughter trick or treating.  Then, I sit on the porch and throw candy at kids.  Then, we watch the late night Halloween classics, including Hocus Pocus and The Witches (with Anjelica Huston).  And then... Christmas season begins!  (In my book, Thanksgiving equals pre-Christmas.  Everything Thanksgiving does, Christmas does better, except for football, which I am not into anyways.  Nonetheless, it is a nice sneak preview of Christmas every year, especially when paired with a nice road trip.  I can never have too many of those).

I'm with you.  I can never have enough road trips.  One of my favorite things in life.

The holiday I look forward to celebrating the most is the 2nd Noel or 2nd coming of Christ.  This holiday is celebrated by a grand feast to which all are invited and welcome.
