Guest Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 I'm just going off of who I've seen in church or who seem to have served missions or remain active. I'll start the list: Lindsey Stirling (My personal favorite of the list) David Archuleta Brandon Flowers Danny Ainge Eliza Dushku (she came to my Christmas program 3 years ago. ) Mitt Romney Julianne Hough Donny and Marie Osmond Jon Heder Can you think of anymore that are younger or more famous? Guest Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 I dunno, Eliza and Julianne both beg the question of what is considered "active". Eliza, calls herself a "non-practicing Mormon". Still a Mormon, but... Aaron Eckhart said of himself,"I'd feel like a hypocrite if I still called myself a Mormon since I haven't lived the lifestyle in so long." Kinda makes me believe that a part of him is still with the faith. But he just feels too caught up in worldly things right now to be a part of it actively. Quote

Well Eckhart did dedicate 2 years of his life to serve a mission in France. Quote
Guest Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 I love the tv shows The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show, and South Park and I discovered that every single one of the creators of those shows are atheists who don't believe in God. So that got me thinking what entertainment that I follow has God a focus or specifically a mormon person, not an atheist. My current favorite Mormon celeb is Lindsey Stirling and she's very strong in her faith. Quote
Guest Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Inactive/left the faith: Jewel Amy Adams Chelsea Handler (yes, really). Christina Aguilera (true) Ryan Gosling Katherine Heigl Paul Walker Quote

anatess2 Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 (edited) Steve Young Those 2 blonde professional dancers on DWTS. Not Julianne Hough nor her brother - they're not active. The other 2 are active... I'm too lazy to google their names. Did somebody mention Glen Beck? Does Stephanie Meyer count as celebrity? Edited November 22, 2016 by anatess2 Quote

Well, if "those 2 blonde professional dancers" count, then Stephanie Meyer certainly counts. Quote
Guest MormonGator Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Isalbelle Collin Dufresne is a convert. She inspired both Dali and Warhol and was popularly known as "Ultra Violet". Quote

There was a movie about his life as a hard rocker in the New York Dolls, his subsequent conversion, and his deep dedication to the Church, including regular temple service. He died from cancer several years ago, completely faithful and active (and a temple worker), right after achieving his deep wish of playing a reunion show with the other New York Dolls. It brings a smile to my face to know that this former shock rocker is probably in the Celestial Kingdom! I also have high hopes that Elvis Presley, who never converted in life but apparently loved Mormons (and was apparently a very spiritual and kind man), will accept the gospel in the next life as well. I also love Billy Barty, a dwarf who was a great actor, and did a lot to promote normalcy in dwarfism (and wasn't afraid of the word "midget"). And he was in one of my favorite films, Foul Play. He converted for the love of a woman, and never looked back. A friend of mine was a sometimes chauffeur for Hollywood types, and absolutely loved Billy. NeuroTypical 1 Quote
