carlimac Posted October 13, 2019 Report Posted October 13, 2019 Must have heard it a dozen times in Conference. Who started it? Quote
JohnsonJones Posted October 13, 2019 Report Posted October 13, 2019 I'm not sure. I know it's been used in direct reference to the Youth program that they are coming out with. It may originally have been used otherwise, but to me it seems like they are creating it as a specific type of working utilized with the New Children and Youth program that the Church has developed. Jane_Doe Posted October 13, 2019 Report Posted October 13, 2019 Good question. It sure has become a catch phrase though. I do like it though. Quote

Fether Posted October 13, 2019 Report Posted October 13, 2019 (edited) After doing some simple gospel library searches, I found that it was first used seemingly as an anecdote in 2007 by Elaine S Dalton (counselor in The young woman presidency), again in 2009 by elder Christofferson, and then exploded in use in 2013 CORRECTION: the 2007 use was a quote from Jefferey R Holland from October 2006 Edited October 13, 2019 by Fether Jane_Doe 1 Quote
Anddenex Posted October 14, 2019 Report Posted October 14, 2019 (edited) Here is a link talking about this question: [Removed as per OP suggestion] It says the first time it was used was 2005 and 2007, but I can't find where they are saying 2005 it was said. I only read that one article which didn't appear to be anti, but the about us is similar to another site. So I would suggest deleting the link as it could be. Just_A_Guy 1 Quote

Vort Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 Here I am, a hundred and seventeen years later, still clicking that link. I'm thinking that's gotta be the all-time most clicked-on link in Youtube history. mordorbund 1 Quote
