  1. No doubt some late night talk show!
  2. Seriously No. We do have a rifle range in town but...I shudder to think of the people hanging around such a place. I once had to drop off a parcel to an lds person at the bowling alley at which they worked. Shudder. 😫😢 Also my bishop would hear about such activity in about 3 minutes. He would faint. Further, I guarantee that membership in a rifle range in Canada would bring my name to the attention of the RCMP. I would spend the rest of my days being closely followed by men with broad shoulders and strong chins. Why do they always hire the same physical type? Undercover work must be impossible. All stories of people who wish to dispose of spouses in Canada begin the same way. A woman walked into a bar. She bought a few fellows some drinks and asked if they knew some useful people. The next time, she came in, she was introduced to a ‘useful fellow’ with a strong chin and broad shoulders (undercover RCMP) and ... We are just too law abiding up here! Not many outlaws for each police officer!
  3. @zil Thank you very much for explaining! My temple is in the US and we are getting more and more nervous about crossing the border. The other day there was a 20 year old with an enormous machine gun stationed on the US side of the road leading to Canada. We are all very freaked out! Where is Jesus? Surely, it is time?
  4. @zil What! Are you kidding me! Why on earth 🌍 are the flight crew armed?!!!!
  5. Perhaps I could take lessons? Something on line? Reverse On-Line Seminary?
  6. I personally can barely wait! I am not particularly evil and thus will likely end up working for a boss who I can admire steadfastly. I look forward to working for a boss on whom I can rely. I hope for Sunday’s off! I imagine that there might be: field trips, training days, maybe the odd work-breakfast! I used to work for an org that loved working-breakfasts! I would like to work for an org that bothers to capture the data that it needs to make decisions! 👼
  7. We are your friends! Ask us your questions! Mind you, the way the scriptures are designed, they work on many different levels so there are many different applications. Why not start a little journal here of your church lessons? We can chime in and supplement with suggested readings. Gospel subjects are complex. I tend to look at things with respect to the stage I am at at the moment. When I progress, there will be another application for the next stage of my life. If you are someone for whom ambiguity is uncomfortable, then gospel study can be frustrating. However, many people are uncomfortable with ambiguity so we can help!

Whenever the media claims that people ‘have left the church because” normally they show pictures of people who left the church years ago! I guess that the media calls up the ‘usual suspects’ who have been complaining for a long time.
  9. @aruth5000 Bless you for taking him to Disney! He looks so happy! You are in our prayers.
  10. Not to worry! You just need a minor catastrophe to destroy your current clocks. You can then go to Walmart and buy cheap clocks that reset themselves! Just read your message above! I love resetting clocks! ⏰ 🕰 Where is your phone? Do you not carry it everywhere like Linus’s blanket?
  11. Can we open a book? Possible options: 1) All talks closely follow General Conference Talk. 2) .?
  12. Maybe they could come up with a retractable lid? Like a stadium? Anyway, in OZ...Everything can kill you! I notice that the vacation ads feature a huge beach and then say: ‘No Sharks!’ Yeah but that spider on your beach towel will kill you!
  13. I would like to thank George W Bush for saving the banks. He bailed out the US banks at a critical point. If he had not done so, it would have been a disaster.http://www.nbcnews.com/id/26987291/ns/business-stocks_and_economy/t/bush-signs-billion-financial-bailout-bill/#.W97qGBpyahA The Canadian banks are highly regulated with the plus side that they are very stable. At this point in history, Canada looked like a financial genius. But still a US banking crisis would have affected everyone.
  14. I look at a number of different factors. 1 I think one of the lessons of the Book of Mormon is that moral character matters. If we are led by psychopaths, liars, and swindlers, we may be affluent in the short term but disaster is coming. 2. The economy is fragile. A fragile economy can collapse. One of the greatest tragedies of modern life is unemployment and lack of opportunity for young people. Drastic action either by removing or increasing government involvement in the economy is risky. Uncertainty tends to lead delayed business decisions and lack of investment and thus unemployment. 3. Politicians need to work together within the country and across countries. If a politician assumes that those from other political views are evil, they will not be able to work with other parties or countries, once elected.
  15. Every time I order from lds distribution, I have to call. They always tell me that there is no reason that they can see why I can’t place the order. That site is full of glitches. It is not you just the site.
  16. Fingers crossed!
  17. I wish I had this ability...that or not needing to sleep!
  18. By the way, i received a friend request today from a friend of mine who passed away several years ago! I should pass on the request to @mirkwood!

  20. @ctr2961 Seriously don’t do this! Having been a YW...there is a high probability that they will wreck the place. One of the adult leaders decorated the YW room. Don’t!

  22. Your husband and yourself sit down with son and explain your position. If son does not agree, he is welcome to move out. If he says, he will move out, offer to help him find a new place. How about holding family prayers?
