I wouldn't call it "Israel declares war".  I'd call it "Israel is under coordinated attack by Hamas, who has launched ~3000 missiles and conducted open insurgent attacks on multiple cities and areas all at once, with some reports claiming the insurgents have taken prisoners"
Recognizing that these actions mean you are in a state of war, is slightly different than Israel declaring war.

    Out of curiosity...why?
I tend to not simply because of the politics. The lefty news has been hardcore after Tim Ballard, Jim Caveziel, and Angel Studios, ever since Sound of Freedom made some waves. And then this. That alone makes it suspect to me.

    It.

Specifically that Tim Ballard did what he's being accused of.
Apparently a statement was released. Tim Ballard says he didn't believe it was from the church (apparently it was), because he had spoken to his Stake President and Bishop and neither of them knew anything about it. He's shocked that the church would release a public condemnation of one of its members without even talking to that member's Bishop or Stake President first. Which does, indeed, sound wrong to me too. But, you know....it happens. The church public relations department releasing a condemnatory statement because of news articles containing accusations isn't proof of wrong doing though.
I disbelieve the accusations. We've had all these anti responses to The Sound of Freedom by the leftist news, and then when there are rumors of Tim Ballard running for the Senate to replace Mitt Romney accusations conveniently appear.....in Vice?
    Convenient.
Things may escalate. Things may come out that prove it one way or the other. Tim Ballard may secretly be a sexual predator and evil. But until those proofs come out, I'm inclined to disbelieve it.
Assuming he is innocent, I hope the church's response doesn't have the effect of destroying the man and his commitment to the church. He has stated in response that he is faithful and committed. I hope that remains true. Having the church one loves publicly smear them unjustly could be a pretty huge trial of faith. But it happens. The church is made of mortal men who make mortal men mistakes.

I want to offer a cautionary note here, gleaned from hard experience both personal and professional:
Many people like this, actually deeply love the Gospel (as they understand it).  They search their scriptures.  They take fastidious notes at conference.  They pray for hours, and think they receive revelations; some of them very beautiful and moving.  But it goes in a weird direction, and suddenly they start thinking they’re getting better revelation than the mainstream Church; better revelation than their local priesthood leaders.  We will be seeing more of this, not less, in coming decades; and the Church will not always be quick to hold membership councils for people who deserve it.
Guys, stay humble.  Stick with your priesthood authorities—from the Prophet down to your elders quorum president.  Do. Not. Let. Go.  A lot of tragedies could have and would have been avoided if some of Mormonism’s most infamous psychopaths of the past five years had stayed a little closer to, been more patient with, and considered with more humility the counsel of their bishops and stake presidents.

That some languages use gendered nouns (and their accompanying articles, adjectives, etc.) is true (e.g. Spanish and Russian).  That some have three genders: masculine, feminine, and neuter, is also true (e.g. Russian).  But yeah, these can't be used in any meaningful way in discussion of the current human gender identity crisis - they're just a fact of language, nothing more.  The same is true of the tendency of humans to anthropomorphize inanimate objects, regardless of whether the language uses gendered nouns.
While I have no time to study it, ancient Israel's choice to separately classify those who could not reproduce, or who were born with genetic / birth defects is equally irrelevant.
Both issues are irrelevant to the question of how many human sexes / genders there are.  Biology is all that's relevant when it comes to discussing human sex or gender (which are synonyms).  The answer is 2 with some small percentage of people being indeterminate (not additional genders, just indeterminate) due to said birth/genetic defect.
The problem is not whether @JohnsonJones was presenting facts, it is that he was presenting facts that are either not relevant to the modern human gender identity crisis, or that he presented the facts in a manner which obfuscates reality rather than clarifying it.

The facts of the world? You just tried to prove your point by gendering a spoon. Take a step back and look at the mental gymnastics you are doing to try and prove yourself right.
"Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose".
I am not going to argue over your traditions, feelings or "facts". All of it is based of of mankind's false perceptions. I will however share my testimony with you that there are 2 genders, male and female. End of discussion.

I'm sure Klaw would like a place to complain about Meowmy.  For example, today, in addition to abandoning Klaw to go to something called "Church", Meowmy allowed a stranger in, and when the stranger left, and left behind a brownie, Meowmy didn't let Klaw have any of the brownie.  Further, Meowmy didn't allow Klaw to stay outside as long as Klaw wanted (she complained about "too hot" as if!).
(But in my experience, people use facebook in ways that I find exceedingly disappointing, and I expect Klaw would discover the same, so we came to our senses and got out a toy to play with instead.)

Worship is a complex word with many connotations.
God does love us.  And he most likely appreciates our love, heart felt prayers, and when we try to follow his recommendations and example.

One problem, among many others, with the mandatory reporting laws, is that there is no accountability.  So, if an ex spouse, vindictive neighbor, or a school employee that simply doesn’t like the parents’ method of discipline, calls CPS and reports abuse, they can do so without any consequences of making a false report or exercising poor judgment.  Making a report to CPS is very serious, and can cause a lot of worry, stress and sometimes money to innocent families.  Anonymous reporting makes it too easy to file frivolous reports.  Now, people like educators are not completely anonymous, as CPS knows who made the allegation, but the parents are not allowed to know.  And quite frankly, if my child’s teacher is making allegations about me, that puts my child in danger, and I should have every right to know who that is.

I wouldn’t say the charges of harlotry are completely baseless.  She was obviously spiritually disturbed.  “Out of whom went seven devils” means that Jesus cast seven demons out of her.  That only happens to those who are far removed from the spirit.  That being said, because Jesus healed her, she regained the opportunity to become an “unusually virtuous person.”  Her past didn’t matter anymore, as she made a firm decision to become a disciple of Christ.

Possibly, but Luke 8:2 does say, “Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.”

That doesn’t necessarily mean she was a prostitute, gambler or a carouser, but people don’t have devils inside of them unless they are doing something in their lives to invite them.

This young lady's question is a question I have been pondering actually for over a month now. At times, I feel I am waiting for our leaders to come out more directly than they have (e.g. the Family Proclamation canonized), and then at times I think they have been very clear but we have members of the Church who still think and believe -- if not canon -- then they teach the philosophies of men mingled with scripture so carefully crafted. The easiest example, "God told us to love," while ignoring that the first great commandment is to love God with all our heart, might, mind, and strength, which means we do exactly that we teach his truth, his way, and his light.
Having family members on both side who are experiencing homosexuality and gender dysphoria it would be nice to see more direct speech. Calling out the wolves so to speak, and yet I openly admit I don't see the way God sees the wheat amongst the tares (who is tare and who is not but God does). I understand, he doesn't want to root up a wheat who appears to be a tare right now.
I believe @laronius hits the nail on the head with proactive parenting; however, I'm not a big fan of calling "Come Follow Me" -- new. This was the Church's teaching this whole time. Teaching of our children was and has always been on the parents. This to me is more evidence that we, collectively, weren't following what the Lord had already taught...now he needed to be more plain rather than us following the teachings and the Spirit.
I have never expected the Church to teach my children. I have always seen it as Church supported -- FAMILY centered. It has never been the other way to me.
