  2. Hmm..that's a difficult one...I think Music Video, cos I can always shut my eyes if I want to... Book or Film Version of a story..
  3. I once saddled myself with a blind date for 6 weeks cos I wasn't assertive enough to say I wasn't all that interested, or to stop the bloke from treating me like I was already his girlfriend proper on our first date...eventually I had to fess up..cringe!

I like your style Kenneth..have you been inspired by any particular writers/poets?
  5. Canuck..can you post the picture somewhere so I can see it? I like Slinkies..was that the picture?
  6. Willow, I'm not surprised at all that you didn't notice the wheelchair, especially as I can't remember if she was in it that night either, lol! I think you are onto the right couple, I suppose I did assume he was LDS because of his perceived knowledge of the church, but I could be mistaken, I've only seen my friend at church one other time and he wasn't with her.
  7. I don't know their full story, but I do know that she always refers to him as her 'boyfriend', in church and out of church, they were at my Baptism, we were talking to them towards the end of the refreshments time after the Baptism..she's in a wheelchair most of the time but I can't remember whether she was in it that evening, not sure if you can remember the couple..
  8. Hi JJ, welcome to the site, hope you enjoy it around here! :)
  9. I know a couple at my ward, the g/f is a member of the church..was baptised 7 years ago, I think her b/f might be a member too, having met and spoken to him only once, but they are living together, unmarried, but are still members...all right, they won't have access to all things fully active members have, but they are still members (a little active/inactive at times).
  10. I suppose there's always the exercise bikes for people who don't wanna ride in the open...
  11. Do we still have the rule about certain topics being covered in the Open Discussion and Adult forums? To gain access to those forums on LDSTalk, we had to send a PM to Heather, stating that we were aged 18+ and wished to have access to those forums.. Some of the topics you wish to post about may be more suited to those forums..
  12. Hahaha, I love it!! Wonderful suggestions Mailis!! :) Grannysue, thanks very, very much for your reply to my post..your comments are appreciated and have been noted..I'm so pleased to hear that your son was finally given the correct treatment and am encouraged by your information regarding Play Therapists..
  13. Just guessing, but do Stakes in Germany have Distribution Centres, as they do in the UK (if not in each Stake, then where the Temple is?)
  14. Hi Linda!! Welcome to the site...Equality for all is my motto, transsexual or otherwise!! Skalenfehl..you make me wish I'd been allowed to carry on with my German lessons at school now
  15. LOL, you had me thinking there too, Steuss!! I love that song! :)
  16. Amy, your project or whatever other word is more relevant to use, is wonderful and I hope it is successful as it ought to bring great comfort to many parents.
  17. I didn't see all of the Dancing With The Stars episodes, but I did notice some of Marie's costumes were a little risque for a church member...I did spot her garments underneath the clothes she wore for rehearsals, however. :)
  18. It's amazing how these predictions have come true!!
  19. A new drama has just started on ITV1 in the UK, Rock Rivals, which is based upon one of these kinds of shows and the judging panel and what not..I wasn't gonna watch it, cos it looked a little cheap and trashy, but it was fun...
  20. Thanks for your comments Willow and Elgama, I'm sorry if I sound a little down/hopeless about it all today, but since Monday my daughter has slept with me every night, cos she can't bear to stay in her own bedroom with her thoughts, she sleeps as soon as she comes home from college/work, then wakes up and broods about what's going on, or not...she hates feeling this way... I'm sorry to hear about your daughter Charley, and hope that she does manage to climb out of where she is too!
  21. Awww...nice one Doc! :)
  22. I have been struggling with recurrent depressive symptoms since my teens, I worked, I socialised for the bigger part of that time, however nothing completely took away the underlying depression that would rear its ugly head, without any notice, anytime, any place, anywhere, under any circumstances. I have tried submerging myself in voluntary community work, producing information newsletters and such, and still the depression breaks thru...it isn't reactive depression although I have had times when that has occurred too, it's organic, my daughter is going thru hell at the moment, as she suffers from depression too, she's only 19 and constantly contemplates suicide, she struggles to remain in college and wants a career as a Play Therapist, but is afraid that she will not be allowed to have that career if she is labelled 'depressed'...how do you think that makes her feel? How do you think it makes me feel, to think that this is the legacy I have left her...depression..it aint a good feeling at all, and I would gladly give it up tomorrow if it were possible. Btw, I recently returned to the Mormon church, thinking, in part, that it would help with my depression..maybe 'cure' it once and for all, but no, it's still there, I'm still struggling, and you know what is the hardest thing to do when you lock yourself away all day and avoid people and places? The hardest thing is to reach out to somebody, even your best friend, and ask for help to get outside and DO SOMETHING...if only it were as easy as you make out..
