This last summer I attended the summer term up at BYU, and now I'm working full time so I can pay for my mission! I'm very glad to be a part of this awesome website!! ^^ Quote

Nibowaka Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Welcome! I pray for your quick recovery from Utah Mormonism. I lived for two and a half years in Utah, and all my living family is still there. I do love the country and the people are mostly good. But the Church, though true everywhere, is much more interesting out here in the wilderness. There you can do your entire home teaching in an hour just by walking a few blocks in many places. Here where I live, members have to drive up to 30 miles to get to Ward meetings. Righteous Nephites are surrounded by treacherous Lamanites, so to speak. Outside of services I seldom run into a member of the Ward. The best to you on your mission call. You will have challenges, but keep faithful and serve well. You will be blessed. Quote
notsolittlejon Posted September 21, 2008 Author Report Posted September 21, 2008 Welcome!I pray for your quick recovery from Utah Mormonism...Yeah I hope so too! Its gonna be quite the shift, going somewhere that everyone isn't LDS...Thank You all for the very warm welcome!! I will definitely keep y'all posted on my Mission status... Quote

MoeWymer Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 My name is Moe (pronounced Moi), currently living back with my parents in the Cooks. Was born in the church, but went as inactive as I think you can get and have only recently started coming back to church. Finding it hard to still keep my old friends while trying to find my way back and finding it even harder to make new friends or at least active members of the church in my age group. Decided to join the forum in hope to have some kind of community feel to help me find my way. :) Quote
