selek Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 When did Sean Penn become one of the FBI's Ten Mosted Wanted? Having seen one of his movies, I can understand the classification- but still. Quote
slamjet Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Probably because he was once Mormon. Even served a mission to France. Quote
volgadon Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 He is probably retelling the story of the three little pigs. Quote
Guest Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Lots of ignorant comments on the local news station's FB page about this. Quote
Guest Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Probably because he was once Mormon. Even served a mission to France. So, if he was a baptist who served a mission with Tim Tebow, would he then be hiding among baptists? Quote

Dravin Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Going by the images attached to the article I'm guessing it's because we're a high compression artifact people. Quote

norah63 Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Looked like he was captured according to news today. Did anyone notice his location address? Quote
NeuroTypical Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Do you have a link norah? My google news scrape doesn't show anything about him being captured. He sounds like someone who really needs to be captured. Quote

norah63 Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Don't know how to post a link or I would. Just type in 'neighbor charged in killing of 6 year old in Arkansaw' That brought up several places to read. It seemed awful fishy to me the way that 'hiding among Mormons' was put. Just another way to run down anything the media or government chooses IMO. Quote
slamjet Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 I tried to hide among Mormons, they found me and gave me a calling. Quote

beefche Posted November 27, 2012 Author Report Posted November 27, 2012 It's the same article. And what I don't get is how does one hide among Mormons? We aren't an exclusive community. None of my neighbors are Mormon. So, how do you hide with the Mormons? Quote
NeuroTypical Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 It makes sense. People can dissapear into communities. It is true that not a lot of people understand this. It is also true that the headline and the way it's being talked about is overlysensationalistic towards mormons. It's news written by people who don't get it, for people who don't get it. But yeah, hiding out with group A or B is hardly anything new, or even unique to our nation or even our times. Quote
dahlia Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 When I was an undergrad, I had a work-study job in the Women's Advocate office at Michigan. One day I was minding my business and two well-dressed guys were suddenly standing in the open doorway. Turns out they were FBI, looking for Patty Hearst in the 'women's community.' Quote
