askandanswer Posted October 1, 2016 Report Posted October 1, 2016 (edited) Congratulations to Elder Mirkwood and his parents. Well, at least to his mother You all have exciting and growing times ahead of you. No doubt, if he had been even more worthy than he already is, he would have been called to serve in the Philippines. How did you celebrate, and how did the opening of the letter happen? My son says that when he receives his mission call, maybe in the first half of next year, he want to open it on the stand during Sacrament meeting. ps Does the Jacksonville mission include that part of Florida where they have lots of swamps and mirky woods? Edited October 1, 2016 by askandanswer added the ps Sunday21 1 Quote
mirkwood Posted October 2, 2016 Author Report Posted October 2, 2016 He invited over several families we are friends with and some family over the phone. He opened it in our living room and read the first couple of paragraphs. 3 hours ago, askandanswer said: Does the Jacksonville mission include that part of Florida where they have lots of swamps and mirky woods? Inside the blue area. If you mean the Okefenokee Swamp, I believe it does. askandanswer and Sunday21 2 Quote
NightSG Posted October 2, 2016 Report Posted October 2, 2016 Well, he managed to get a bit south of squeal-like-a-pig territory. He should probably still avoid strange banjo players, though. Sunday21 1 Quote
