It's a bit of a stretch to imply the girl killed the first person she met. The house landed on her. Dorothy had no control over that. :)

She was a woman...wasn't Dorothy just a girl.

There's the basis of a good parlour game here. Here's my contribution:

"A crazy inventor's latest contraption gives his family phantasmagoric food poisoning from undercooked eggs and sausages. They hallucinate flying automobiles, picturesque child abduction and a game of billiards you can't lose!"
