Just for the record - I do have a legal prescription for Ivermectin, and a supply on hand in case I get COVID. It has become too expensive to take prophylactically (demand has doubled the price in recent weeks), but I have taken the recommended dosage.
Ivermectin is tasteless, and most people probably won't notice anything after taking it unless they are sick to begin with.

You need to follow your heart.
We need to follow the science - spoken by someone that has no background (interest) in science.
Politicians that criticize those of a different political stripe for doing what they praise their fellow politicians for.
Someone that thinks that scripture or the words of a prophet will solve differences of religious opinions.
Saying something literally with the intent of symbolism - example a sports caster talking about a speedy receiver by saying, "He is literally flying down the field".
Thinking that something you have - it is mine, I can do with it what I want? - especially when the same complains of how wasteful others are.
Anyone gaslighting - Blaming others for their bad choices, bad behavior, mistakes or inabilities to accomplish lasting relationships.
Sourer grape complaining - Especially those that fail to maintain religious covenants that blame religions for the world's ills.

KISS great? They were definitely interesting ..,
Florida Gators? Yea, I can roll with that one, especially if they are playing Florida State!
Tim Tebow? I love the guy and lots of terrible NFL teams should have hired him just to increase profits IMHO. Who cares if they win, football is a business.
Baseball? Love to play it, but attending one A's game a year and watching highlights from the last game of the World Series is enough for me. As a teen we did love attending Seattle Mariners games because tickets were practically free, and there was no pressure to win because they were already mathematically out of contention.
Horror Movies? Just Alien and Aliens. Books? Yes, as long as there are lots of pictures

I believe it is attributed to Albert Einstein. But I hate the saying: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Clearly Einstein never learned to play the piano.

In the rare occasions when I have held leadership positions, I have made it a point to thank people, both individuals and groups, rather than "like to thank" them. I fully realize that the "we'd like to blah blah blah" is just a social softener, but I see no need to soften an expression of gratitude (or for that matter, an instruction or notification).

    “At least I’m honest”
What is this even supposed to imply? That being honest is virtue enough to cover up for hurtful, prideful, negligent, or harsh words? Honesty should be a default standard, not a rare virtue that makes up for short falls

    "Let's agree to disagree."
Not that such a thought is not justified at times, when two people come to an impasse based on fundamental philosophical differences. But in most venues, including this forum, "Let's agree to disagree" usually means "I can't respond to what you're saying and I don't want to concede your argument, so I'm going to pretend that we're at a philosophical impasse." In such cases, it's either a dishonest way to avoid admitting the weakness of one's argument or a prideful (and thus shameful) attempt at face-saving.

On a more serious note, I think this is highly likely in the future as the legal reasons to keep it unlawful seem to be on ever more shaky ground.

Yep, notions of herd immunity and stopping the thing via a vaccinated population, are pretty much dead notions at this point.  Bummer.  Delta variant sucks, we saw the possibility, but hoped it wouldn't arrive.  And it did.  'rona ain't never going away.
The way all of this is unfolding is very concerning to me. It seems as though there is no end! Sigh.

If the US Health Authorities (I won't use my preferred label out of respect for each of you) really wanted to overcome the hesitancy of people like myself, they would move heaven and earth to approve some of the non-mRNA vaccines like Novavax and Covaxin, both of which use more traditional vaccine technologies.
The very fact that they have not actively sought to bring any non-mRNA vaccines to the US speaks volumes more about what their motivations are, rather than overcoming the concerns of those like myself.
And back to the point that @estradling75 so eloquently pointed out, since there is no "protection of others" reason for the mandates anymore based on all the current field data, it is the very fact that the Vaccine Authorities sold it to the public on such claims that have now all been proven untrue, that gives us adequate reason to question and distrust those authorities going forward on any matters related to COVID.
I will gladly get the Covaxin vaccine, based on whole virus technology, the minute it's available. Others likely would too IMHO. That would do far more to help our divisive situation than any further mandates from the Vaccinistas 😮.

Indeed...  yet we in the very thread we have had people accuse those not vaccinated as being murders spreading COVID... And other places they are being accused of being Anti-science along with being murders.
And for the record I am fully vaccinated precisely because I wanted to help those more vulnerable, and I want the data to show that I made an effective choice...  The data is not there.  I helped myself (Which I really didn't need) as the risk of unknown future side effect if any.  I don't consider that a good exchange at this point.

For a very limited definition of effective.  It protects the person from "when" not "if" they are infected... that is a plus.
But all the reasons for mandating the vaccine personal protection isn't one of them.
We are told to get vaccinated to protect other people.  By those metrics it appears to be wholly ineffective.  The vaccinated still become infected, and are still contagious...
If want to protect grams and gramps from you accidentally bring COVID to them... you better not be depending on the vaccine and being Fully Vaccinated

I welcome an explanation of how pointing out similarities for the purpose of learning from history is insulting to prior victims. Instead of simply doubling down into a four-year-old-fit going back and forth between yes it does, no it doesn't, who can yell louder as your continued assertion that it's just so absurd comes across as, I truly welcome some actual dialogue to help me see how what you claim is so.

Gavin Debecker has an interesting book called the gift of fear that is all about recognizing pre-incident indicators that have been recognized by reverse engineering the tell tale signs that were found to occur prior to sexual assaults. By teaching people about these indicators so they can avoid being victims of sexual assault, I can't begin to fathom how that is conflated to saying that the previous victims' experiences don't matter or the suffering wasn't real. It would seem a greater travesty to recognize tactics used by criminals and not bother to point them out keeping a higher proportion of new victims always available because no one could bother to learn from history and share the help.

Now perhaps there is some inflammatory rhetoric you've experienced elsewhere in regards to this that you are bringing to this discussion, but I feel I've been nothing but respectful in pointing out commonalities of indicators (in this case used by government to make a section of the population into "deplorables", which is a requisite step for the actions taken against the Jews in the middle of the twentieth century to occur). I have not said the Jews didn't suffer. I have not called anyone a Nazi or Vazi. I have not said that the unvaccinated today have suffered in an equivalent manner to Holocaust victims. I have simply pointed out that there are similarities that warrant recognition as they are strikingly similar tactics being used by world leaders to demonize the unvaccinated right now as were used by the Nazis to make the Jews lose standing in German society *prior* to the atrocities perpetrated upon the Jewish people and others selected by those in power as undesirable members of society.

If you can show me the blind spot in my reasoning, I'm open to learning.
