I'm in the "Bishop needs to know" camp.  These women took her on false pretenses of ward business.  If that doesn't warrant telling the Bishop, I don't know what does.

They lied.  Who is the father of all lies?  That they started this process using one of Satan's tactics testifies that what they were doing was wrong - and that somewhere inside, they knew it was wrong (we don't feel the need to lie when we know what we're doing is right).  I agree that this needs to be handled in person.

I would lose my mind if this happened, A face to face confrontation with both the YW president and 1st counselor is necessary.  While I am sure everyone can appreciate their concern they have clearly over stepped their boundaries.  I wouldn't email, wouldn't text, I would meet them in the same park and let them have it.

Yeah, I didn't mention the whole Gator / compound thing to the bishop when he called me...   Things might have gone differently...

I thought there's a rule that only First Wives can be RS President.  @LadyGator wouldn't like this...

Only in my dreams.  (Oops, did I say that out loud?  Isn't that guaranteed to extend the duration of my sentence?)  The bishop's house is kitty-corner from my back yard - if I opened the windows, he'd hear my music blasting - only the weirdest boundary change ever would get me into a different ward.
(NOTE: I'm joking.  My calling is as good as any other calling, just not suited to my personality, which is, I'm sure, part of the point - lessons to learn.)

d'Oh!  Murphys law dictates now that Mirk isn't doing that stuff for the church any more, the time for preparation is over.  The zombie Fiat currency global economic pandemic invasion collapse is nigh!!!

The IRS does not care how much you paid in interest when they calculate gain on the sale of a home.
Everyone has their own idea on what their "increase/interest" is which is why is is so vague.
You could argue that a house sold has no "increase" because there is no effective gain.  The house sold at market value and if I went to buy a similar home I would pay Market prices effectively having no gain at all.

Why in all these discussions of houses does everyone say they paid [some amount] which is clearly the market value, and later sold it for [some other amount] which is clearly the new market value, and never mention the interest paid on the loan, which, at the end of the day, is how much you really paid for the house?  (Just curious.)

At work we generally say that 10% of the population is the problem.  That probably is reasonably accurate.  That means the other 90% are not the problem.  Yes there are monsters, but you most likely will never deal with them or even be exposed to them.  Live cautiously, but not with paranoia.

I agree with the spirit of what you're saying, but keep in mind that "reasonable" is in the eye of the beholder.  These SJW types find it perfectly reasonable to expect the First Presidency to bend to societal pressure.  To them, "reasonable" is whatever modern "progressive" culture says it is.

I should hope that my first couple of paragraphs were not taken in any unkind.
The later portion-I do not intend to be ugly in any sense.  I just find completely illogical, unnecessary and if fact melodramatic every time someone uses the phase "I was hurt" b/c of ..... and instead of referencing something horrible someone said (i.e. "cops are pigs"-no offense to mirkwood) but they reference a cultural setting.
And I must genuinely take these individuals at face value when they say they are hurt.  I don't get it, I really don't, how simply by the cultural setting causes some amount of physic pain to these individuals that they must proclaim they are hurt. And to me, the only logical thing to say is I'm incredibly sorry, you must live an extremely depressing, demoralizing pitiful life that every time a social setting doesn't conform to what you'd like, you have such massive physic pain that you must proclaim you are hurt.
And yes, this occurs frequently with my children-they don't like the setting whatever it is and then they pout their lips, cry, if they are older stomp their feet say "this isn't fair".  And I say, I know it isn't fair, get used to it.  If you go around your entire life getting upset and being hurt every time you think life isn't fair to you-you are going to lead a pretty miserable life.
And if they aren't leading a miserable life, then that means either a) they really aren't hurt, they just want to proclaim they are to garner praise, attention, and draw out that "life isn't fair" and everyone should acquiese to their demands or b) they have a very interesting sense of fairness, b/c I see that life isn't fair, "equal, etc. all around me, all the time, every day and I guess that means they only see it at certain points and are blind to all the other unfairness in life.
