I was thinking the same thing.  There is no relation.
    I feel so loved.

There's no diversity in this photo - they're ALL black and white....although, admittedly, that could be something to do with the photo rather than the people in it.

There's actually good evidence that the celestial kingdom  will be nothing more than an endless barbecue. The same verse suggests that God likes His meat well done, not rare:
Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly

quite right.  I am just not in tune enough to divine the meaning.  Should I have steak for lunch or tuna salad?  I know that it answers this question, but I just can't figure it out.

Its been my impression that if you are living in the corridor, all you need to do to be an active church participant is to just go with the flow and do what most of the other people around you are doing. Outside the corridor, to be an active church participant, you need to swim against the current. For some people, trying to swim against the current can lead to drowning, but for others, it helps them become stronger swimmers.

Why not just wait until the big one, and let that split the state all by itself? My guess is that the split would be along the San Andreas fault.

Did you happen to know a young guy by the name of Joseph Smith? I think he was living in the area at that time.

This quote is truth. This is part of the problem we see today with your Kate Kellys' and Denver Snuffers who think the Lord will reveal something to them that is for the whole Church collectively. If God has revealed further light and knowledge to us, which is not in scripture, then we are wise to thank God for this wisdom and wait for him to reveal it through proper channels that God has set in place for this type of revelation to the Church collectively.

@pam shouldn't even be allowed out of her room. She should be kept locked up. Now that's something that would really contribute to the achievement of Starbucks goal of having a positive impact on the world.

    "Dear" @zil
Let this be a lesson to you in how to properly take care of your gloves. You should have known that Carb, as Deputy Munitions officer of the Glove Preservation Society, and with his well known propensity to shoot off missiles

at the slightest provocation, was not going to react well to this:
    slaps carb with glove::
Please look after your gloves more carefully in future.

Carb, i thought you'd retired from the military a while ago. Were these your missiles or did you just borrow them from your neighbour?

Church was cancelled due to weather! I immediately went for a walk but I admit the weather was pretty brutal. I had intended to let loose some scathing remarks about Southern ONtario people and their lack of moral fiber but I have to admit they have a point!
Guess what the special speakers were going to address today? Emergency preparedness! Love it!
And many nice people texted me to let me know about the cancellation! So nice! I, of course, texted back my thanks no doubt the ‘thank you’s’ and the ‘your welcomes’ and the ‘don’t mention it. No trouble’ and the ‘no I really mean it, you are so kind’s’ , will overwhelm the system entirely.
Ahh to be both Lds and  🇨🇦 ! I would be Lds even without a testimony! I love the kindness!
I ❤️ my people! And green jello to all!

I think its also important to consider the question of obedience to what/whom. The degree to which disobedience is wrong depends on who/what it is that you are disobeying. My guess is that disobeying a Zone Leader is not as bad as disobeying a Mission President, and "disobeying" a guideline is not as serious as disobeying a commandment. Disobeying, or acting in a manner inconsistent with a handbook of some sort might not always be as bad as disobeying one's common sense and good judgement. It is impossible to create a law/rule to properly address every possible kind of situation, and when it is obvious that the rule does not fit the situation, then consideration may need to be given to the extent to which the rule should be obeyed, modified, or disregarded. When there is doubt as to whether the rule fits the situation and how one should act, then it might be useful to let one's actions be guided more by motives and principles, in particular
37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38  This is the first and great commandment.
39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
