It is possible...to lose one's testimony if one loses contact with life.....for example you can begin to regain your testimony in the church...we can talk about J. Smith later and Jesus Christ later in this post. Testimony of the Church: Don't you know any of your Mom's and Dad's friends that are heavy smokers or drinkers and how are they doing today? We LDS knew things about smoking and alcohol etc over 170 years ago. Don't you have any friends that are drinking regularly and doing drugs today? Temple stuff don't worry about it for now. It cannot do you any good if are about to lose your testimony. There is much ado about finding Carbon dioxide on a planet from a nearby star...Well guess what? We knew this 170 years ago - that there are other planets in the Universe that not only has life but are inhabited by humans. Joseph Smith and marriages. There is a difference between a marriage and a wedding. A marriage deals in ONESS and the Celestial Kingdom is about ONESS [Marriages] A man may be given by GOD more than one wife...But that does not necessisarily means obligation to being made intimate physically. J. Smith was way before his time in many things...imagine asserting that he had scriptures written on metal plates? It was much later this was confirmed as we began to find scriptures written on metal plates. As important as it is to have a testimony of the Church and that of J. Smith was a true prophet....none can compare to having a Testimony of Jesus Christ which is only given by the Spirit of Revelation as John taught us in Revelation. Revelation 19:10 - And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. If you receive this testimony...you will never be adrift again. For whenever you shall turn to the left hand [error] or the right hand [zealousness]...God shall be there...to say...this is the way keep on in this direction... Every Cross roads in our life is representation of the Cross. Which we can continue to ascend upwards..or we lose or bearings and turn to the right or we shall turn to the left and a few actually chose to go downwards into perdition. In the book of Mormon the Mist came and many lost their hold on the Rod and became lost in the mist [confusions [errors/zealousness] Isaiah 30:21 - And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. This way is called the way of Holiness by Isaiah and only the wayfaring man shall be able to walk it...and yes, even more than this.... the way is so easy to follow.....even a fool cannot err if he is listening to GOD in his heart. From a personal point of view...I can say that with each "uncomfortable" [evil/bad] Life experience we can choose to increase Faith....and even find joy in what others call misery. As I recall Luke chapter 6 it clearly states...when we ought to leap for joy....and it is when one is receiving what the world calls woes. That is right we are to leap for joy when we are receiving woes,,, The Reason why a person can do this...is because He has learned to trust GOD to the point where He knows what he is receiving is for his own Good. So how can such an individual go to the Lord in tears because of this. As LDS we are to overcome the world...not drown God with our sorrows and despair. Malachi 2:13 - And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand. So the answer is ....Yes, there are some people who have developed trust and faith in GOD to such an extent that they are able to be happy in the midst of terrible miseries. I prefer to call them uncomfortable life experiences rather than "evil/bad" life experiences. Whether they come because of our sins or are sent by GOD as a test...they all serve the purpose of revealing our weaknesses so that we can overcome it. Peace be unto you bert10

Here is what GOD has to say about this....If one wish their children to live only upon the land one must teach them to honour their parents. At 18 ....I'm thinking you missed the boat with that child of yours a long time ago. Parenting mistakes with our children will end up coming to bite us later on in life. She is now 18 and the game is nearly over. Society and life will have to correct her deficiencies. ----------------------------------- Respect.... To get respect one must first give it. The example that you used, it was her essay...you told her once that her essay needed to flow better. That should have been it. The rest was up to her. If she had decided to not do anything to it..... not your problem. Give respect to your child who is an adult and demand respect from her in turn. When it is lacking...or you are seeing a situation that is leading to another fight...cease whatever you are doing with her and do something else, or go out and find something else to do. If you give advice give it once. Twice if it is very serious subject. And then let her reap the consequences of her decisions. That is about the only course of action that you have at this time. In time, she will learn to respect your wisdom and decisions if they were wise and hers wrong. Also on your part....do not yell....ever. Peace should reign in the home. Refuse to get angry. Do you not know that most who are gathered into this church are descendants of Israel...Do you imagine because we are in 2008 that the Sins of Israel of old are not with us today since we are their descendants? There is the Spiritual and there is the natural. What is expected of you first by God after doing what you can Spiritually with Him... is to be a husband to your wife, a father to your children. IF for a time you have to drop out of home teachings etc...so be it. Hi Mirium I know how you feel concerning members of family not being active. You must not let it get you down. God still has a plan for your family. - We as parents can only lead by exhortations and mostly BY examples...being careful to not nag. It is very hard for our children to believe us concerning the church and our beliefs....if our own lives are falling apart. The gospel of Jesus is about overcoming the world, finding the joy and happiness in all things.....also leading to prosperity. This is the best example we can give to our children and neighbors. If our children do not follow in our paths at this time...sooner or later their lives will fail perhaps for some even on all levels.....and they will look back on how to find the same happiness and joy that you have set as an example...Then they will be open to the Holy Ghost influence. The best thing you can do right now is renew your own contact with GOD. Once you find your joy and happiness, then you will be in a better position to help your family find their way again....WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT. Timing is everything. The BOM says that God gave the gospel to all races according to their ability to receive it. The battle has always been between Light and Darkness. The Lord has said 'I am Light.' The East seeks after LIGHT which is the inner meaning of Christ. The West follows mostly the outside meaning of the gospel. For example... The ONE GOD thing...was explained by Jesus to the Jews as well as to the world. To know [understand] this truth is ETERNAL LIFE. John 17:3 - And this is life eternal, that they might know THEE [The Father] The ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, Whom THOU [The Father] hast sent. The Title ONLY TRUE GOD (for all of us) belongs to the Father. God should be understand to mean as GOOD and Jesus is also God..or Good. The difference is that as Jesus said...the FATHER was greater than He. If you notice here and in the scriptures...nowhere does Jesus say to pray or honor the Holy Ghost formarly. It is not an easy question to answer. Spirit prison is for Repentance. They who learn to love God with all their might mind and strength and love their neighbors as unto themselves do not go there. Regardless of what religion that they are in. When a man is subjected to the greater intensity of the Holy Ghost....every sin on their conscience shall bring them torment and they will wish to go into spirit prison to repent. As for ordinances done by other churches...if the people are not called and chosen and ordained of GOD then it is not valid. These in heaven will recognized that they have been deceived on the earth and shall gladly accept those ordinances. Where two or three are gathered....that the Spirit of the Holy Ghost is there ...of this I have no doubt. However, unless the person who is administering the ordinance to you has been given Priesthood authority straight from the Apostle who last held that authority...then it is not valid. Good question.... I think....the answer lies in how the kingdom of GOD shall be installed on the earth. Force is out of the question. For God shall not not force those that survive into His kingdom. The clue is given by Jesus.... Luke 17:21 - Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. The purpose of the Tribulations and wraths of the End times It is to remove all those who are preventing the Servants of GOD from establishing His kingdom on the earth. Yes, the Kingdom of GOD is within us. Jesus said when the lame walk, the blind see and devils are cast out the kingdom of GOD has come to you. As men and women who are taught of GOD and learns to contact the Kingdom and the powers that are abiding within themselves....We shall bring the kingdom of GOD on the earth. Only this time...No one who does this shall be persecuted or restrained in any way from doing it. The kingdom of GOD shall spread on the earth as individuals are added to it. Moses 6:61 - Therefore it is given to abide in you; [1]the record of heaven; [2]the Comforter; [3]the peaceable things of immortal glory; [4]the truth of all things; that [5]which quickeneth all things, [6]which maketh alive all things; that [7]which knoweth all things, and[8] hath all power according to [9]wisdom, [10mercy,[11] truth, [12]justice, and[13] judgment. These people who shall teach men the gospel of repentance and the gospel of perfection which shall be able to dry all the tears of men with this gospel of GOD are called Living Fountains. And so diseases and afflictions and even death shall have to back down from those who have the power of GOD. The only people who shall have to be buried are they who shall be unjust and these must await their resurrection. The Just whose time is over in the Millennium shall die and resurrect even if they do not taste it or feel it. Because as Paul said it will be done in the twinkling of an eye. As people become adopted into the kingdom of GOD the glory of GOD shall be extended on the earth. This process shall continue until the whole world is bathed in the glory of GOD. "Were these men not valiant in the preexistance"? Not all things that are given to us is from the pre-existence. Some of the weaknesses are given to us...because of errors and others are given to us for the glory of GOD. In any case...the suffering that we go through is for learning obedience to the law we have offended or for the glory of GOD. As for children who are mentally challenged. The law in heaven is ..where much is given much is required. Since they cannot appreciate the law...they cannot be condemned by it. It is a fast track into heaven. So to me it does not make sense that it is because they were less valiant in heaven....Unless that this Weakness is their last weaknesss which they have to bear in this world. There are two things one must consider before discussing "Unclean Races". First what does unclean means.....and secondly what we have to consider is before the New Everlasting Covenant and what happened after. Unclean people was talked about by Isaiah. He mentions that the Unclean cannot walk on the Way of Holiness. The Covenant was with Abraham and his descendants on to Israel. Only the nation of Israel had a few people who would hear the Lord in their hearts. The vision of Peter. In those days after the fulfillment of many of the promises to Abraham and Jacob etc..the Lord instituted a new and everlasting Covenant which made all men who cannot hear God in their hearts unclean and all men who would hear God in their hearts clean. The Races of old are still here with us today. The only difference since the days of Abraham and Israel isl.....if they remain unclean it is their choice. If they do not come unto Christ by hearing and learning of the Father - they shall continue to know poverty, tyranny, wars, famines all types of miseries. Moses 6:60 [1] For by the water ye keep the commandment; [2] by the Spirit ye are justified, and [3] by the blood ye are sanctified; Sanctification is learning to walk in the Light as Christ is in the Light. From John in the verse below: First the condition is underlined and the fulfillment of the condition of walking in the Light as Christ is in the light - which are promises are in Green. 1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, [2] we have fellowship one with another, and [3] the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Hi Leming6. Do not ignore your feelings. Since your husband has problems of his own. It looks like it is just between you and GOD for now. Acknowledge your feelings to GOD and praise and Thank Him for it. Each and every time those thoughts come to you. The Solution to all of our problems is Spiritual. Let GOD's Love heal you. As you begin to receive "Unconditional Love" which is also called in the NT as Charity or in the BOM Pure love of Christ....from GOD, then give it to your husband. This Love contains true happiness and joy. And as you become filled with it...you will realize that no one or thing in this world can take it away from you. Now after a while you will realize that it is not important that your husband acknowledges your feelings. For GOD shall hear and acknowledge your feelings. As you begin to change within so will your husband notice you more. Once you become proficient and learn what is "Unconditional Love" and begin to see the power of GOD in your life....then slowly begin to teach what you know to your husband. As you yourself learn to walk on the troubled waters as the Lord did. Then you can help your husband with the teachings - who may be sinking in the stormy waves because he is looking down instead of keeping His eyes on the Glory of GOD. You are going on a mission and if you have not "Unconditional Love" what shall become of your mission? You are afraid...this sounds familiar and with fear is also torment. First let me put this verse down. Read it slowly as many times as it is required until it is absorbed into your heart and mind. 1 John 4:18 - There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. Once you leave behind Conditional Love which is also called darkness and move into "Unconditional Love." You will be less affected by what your girlfriend does. In fact this love passes on knowledge. It will free you from even the world. This love is not dependent on what your girlfriend does nor how many things you have in common with her. It is given to her simply because; as your girl friend it is her right for her to receive it. With this love... You will be patient, nor shall you bring pressure or force upon to do according to what you think is right. In this type of Love you will accept her just as she is ...warts and all. Learning to "Love Unconditionally" and to give it out is what gets it flowing into your heart. It is limitless...the more you give the more the Lord will replenish your heart with it. Until eventually you will learn that true happiness and joy comes from the Kingdom of GOD and the Kingdom of GOD we are taught in the NT is "Within". Once you learn how this works...teach it to your girlfriend. There is no greater power in heaven or on the earth. For it is written that Charity [Pure love of Christ/Unconditional Love] is greater than faith and hope. For example....This type of Love can in a very short while.... bind two perfect strangers with nothing in common into the happiest of earthly marriages. Romans 8:35 - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? John 17:26 - And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. I hope this helps...With unconditional love you shall learn that true happiness and joy comes from within. It shall make you free and banish fears. Now if you and your girlfriend learn to praise and thank God for each blessings and bumps in the road you will begin to overcome all things. For example...If a spouse use the silent treatment anger comes into it, and it is used to show displeasure of our spouse and is for controlling or punishing. Yet this shall not affect "Unconditional Love" of the Spouse who has it. And the happiness and joy of a person who has "Unconditional Love" is not diminished by the silent treatment. And if a person has "Unconditional Love" he does not get angry neither will he do any type of retaliation except to give more Love..... so the circle is broken. It is hard to fight when the other person will not cooperate or fall for it. To help fight this...say "Thank you Lord for permitting my girl friend/wife/husband for giving me the silent treatment." - "I know this somehow will turn to my good." Do it as often as it is required. It will prevent your mind from focusing on the negative aspect [evil] and praise and thanking does transform it into a positive. For if one's eye is centered on darkness then our soul shall be filled with darkness. There is also no harm in expressing to the Lord the desire of one's heart first and then proceeding to praise and Thank GOD being meek and humble which mean...that we will wait and accept the decision of the Lord. As I have often said...prayers with power are answered. However the outcome that we wish may not be the Lord Highest will for us. The law states that it is done unto according to our faith. And if we pray and receive an imperfect solution it will be to our hurt later on. Hi Abartz...I have read your post and you can turn your marriage around. You said "I've tried but you can't force yourself to be in love with somebody you're not." This is true if you remain in Conditional Love which love God calls darkness. All couples who remain in Conditional Love shall either end up in divorce, or in discontent with each other, because this type of Love upon which we give out is filled with conditions. And when the conditions change so does our love. This type of Love is filled with fears and it is written that fear bring torments. Am I correct so far? The Truth is that UNCONDITIONAL LOVE....IS AN ACT OF WILL. This Love is not based on what our Spouse does. It is given to our spouse simply because our Spouse is in 'Our Covenant of Marriage,' here on the earth. This Love is not given or based on what our spouse does. It is given regardless of what our Spouse does. The void in our heart is eventually filled with this love. - 'This is also called the pure Love of Christ.' Depending on your Willingness the time required to fulfill this law below can be very short. Proverbs 23:7 - For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart [is] not with thee. This law is not hard to comprehend...you have heard it said you are what you eat.....and so ....ONE BECOMES WHAT HE/SHE THINKS AND DWELLS ON. So if we begin to dwell on LOVING OTHERS in our heart and mind then this is what we become. A person who learns to give out first UNCONDITIONAL LOVE which is love without any conditions, prejudices...etc. Shall have great power in any relationship. Why? Who amongst us does not want to be love unconditionally? Without being judged? With Patience? Knowing that we are ACCEPTED BY OUR SPOUSE no matter what the problems are? I tell you it is extremely hard to leave a person like that! and over time....that love will spread to the other spouse if he/she is not gone too far in darkness. This society does not teach too well what is unconditional Love and yet if we wish to be with Christ we had better learn it. IF we cannot live our covenant of marriage with an earthly spouse which we can see, hear and touch...then we fail in the marriage covenant with our Lord which also requires us to give unto others the Unconditional Love that He is giving us. Now knowing this part above is not all. --------------------------------------------------- To bring the power of GOD down in our lives...we must live the laws of Gratitude and thankfulness. For these to work we must understand and know that God permits all things to come into our life for our good. Once we can know this...we can begin in the overcoming all the problems that we shall be given. In gratitude and Thankfulness ......All things are seen as a gift of GOD for our GOOD. All life experiences are for our good! People are ready to thank and praise God for things that they perceive as being good or blessings in their lives. In gratitude and thankfulness we know that all things are permitted in the world and all things that happens to those who love God is for their good. Just try to thank our FATHER in the NAme of Jesus for each and every little thing that occurs to you. You can say for example... "Lord I do not know what such and such is happening to me. I know that it will be for my good and I thank you for this [such and such] experience." - Learning to see God's hand in all things is first step in awakening. Now Satan will try to sabotage you. You are learning to fight Spiritually what is happening to you in the flesh. For all things in the world and what happens to us in the flesh has its beginning in the Spiritual. You would now be a real threat to him. Things will get worse before they get better. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. --------------------------------------- Prayers We can always pray for a desired outcome. And if such a prayer is sent to God with power it shall be answered. However, this may not be the Lord's highest will for us. And because we are praying for a less than perfect outcome...it shall be to our hurt later on. Praising and thanking GOD are prayers. However, with this we leave the outcome to GOD. There is nothing wrong if we express to GOD what is the desire of our heart and then go on praising and thanking GOD 'BEING WILLING TO WAIT AND ACCEPT HIS SOLUTION.' I think now you have the two greatest tools in the gospel of Christ in order for you to find happiness and overcome every afflictions that shall come to you in your life. For example with Unconditional Love ....you shall learn that true happiness and joy is not dependent on what your spouse does nor what your spouse gives you. That true Happiness and Joy comes from the kingdom of GOD and in the NT you are revealed where it is....WITHIN. I hope this help there is a lot more...I can say but it shall be information overload. Feeling blue....or feeling depressed are afflictions. First seek with the help of the Holy Ghost the cause of this afflictions. Often this is anger turned inward. It can also be unresolved conflicts that is taking our peace of mind. Having the blues or being sad or being depressed ....should be viewed as a gift of God and is in reality very good news for you. For God is pointing out a weakness in your life. More of the good news...The Lord said [in psalms] that He was your shepherd and if you seek Him early [all the time] that He will lead to "Still Waters" which is heavenly peace. Feeling blue and depression are negatives forces. The Lord whenever He would see someone down with the blues...He would say..."Be of Good cheer". TO BE OF Good cheer is an act of will.....And sometimes we must will it even if it is with gritted teeth with all of our might asking also our Helper to help us. Then you will find over time...that this law is active in your life.... Proverbs 23:7 - For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. We can tell you jokes, and you will laugh...but it will come back. You can take drugs for it and it will probably make you feel good. But that is not overcoming it. Nor will it lead one to find the root cause of our afflictions. Many times, doctors and drugs help the body but do eternal harm to the Spirit that is within us. By using worldly means to negate consequences of wrong choices is no help at all. But using these so we can be free to "ASK, SEEK and KNOCK" is good. For if God is truly our shepherd I tell you the truth and so did J.Smith and others....that you will be healed. "My people are not healed because they ask amiss." So it does not appear that lack of faith is the reason for not receiving... but more of asking amiss. Ask the Lord to show you how you are injuring yourself or others either by thoughts, words or actions. And truly you will be amazed by what the Lord shall show you. Peace be unto you bert10

We can pray in any attitude while walking, enjoying nature, etc. Being Grateful and thankful for all things is a also a prayer. We do not need to ask for it to become a prayer. Peace be unto you bert10

Repentance can be done is sorrows or in joy. It depends what you have been taught and know of God and His gospel. First of all Repentance is turning away from that which is evil and turning towards which is Good.[Walking in the Light as Christ is in the Light] --------------------------- <> Repentance in Sorrows often drives the Holy Ghost away...and this is the time when we need him most. With sorrows often comes despair and defeatism. <> Repentance in Joy is the acceptance of our errors and we know that often a penalty is incurred. Chastisement follows and we are grateful for it. Because we know that we learn obedience by the things we suffer. Hebrews 5:8 - Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; Repentance is learning to WALK in the LIGHT AS CHRIST IS IN THE LIGHT. 1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Hi Nibowaka. What I know is that forgiveness of sin is based on the gospel of repentance. Here are the two conditions that will consign a person to the outer darkness (which is the final place of the sons of perdition) 1. Being unable to be renewed unto Repentance. [see hebrews chapter 6] 2. Refusing to repent in this world and in the world to come. Luke 14:34 - Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? There is no power greater than the Holy Ghost [salt by which to season men] to bring men into repentance. And if men have offended it so that the Holy Ghost can do nothing more for them, or refuse to have any part of it...then they become as sons of perditions who rebelled against the Spirit of Truth and swore an oath to never repent. Hi Vanhin. Understand what the Lord is saying concerning Murdering....Men think as men. All types of Blasphemies against the Holy Ghost is murdering the Light. Shedding the blood of the innocent is only but one of the ways...we can sin against the Holy Ghost.The Apostles teach on what not to do to be in the position of being unable to be renewed unto repentance in Hebrews 6:4-6. Is this basically what you are saying. Satan was a Murderer from the Beginning? Who did Satan murder from the beginning? Spirits cannot be murdered in the worldly sense. Jesus: John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Satan murdered the Light/Truth within Himself. Lucifer also meant bearer of Truths. Satan means father of lies...ie Bearer of lies. As for knowingly shedding Innocent blood....it is but one of the greatest abominations [blasphemies] a man can do ...because it is to kill the light within oneself. The law is do unto others as you would like done unto yourself is especially active when we KNOWINGLY shed the blood of an innocent [child/saint/Righteous/elect/pure of heart etc]. If we shed the blood of an Innocent..it is as though we were doing it to Christ and by doing it ,we do MURDER the LIGHT of CHRIST WITHIN US. Then there is only DARKNESS...So we too become murderers or men unable to be brought unto repentance. Anyway this is what I know....I realize it is not what people teach at this time.
