pam Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 If you had your chance to meet any individual in the Book of Mormon...who would it be and why? Mine would be Nephi. The last time I read the Book of Mormon I felt such a connection I had not felt before. I would love to meet him and learn from his wisdom and faith. Quote
Snow Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Mine would be Chuck Conners, the Rifleman. Quote
pam Posted September 25, 2009 Author Report Posted September 25, 2009 Wow I need to read the Book of Mormon again. Quote
Guest Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Mine would be Jesus. For obvious reasons. Quote
Moksha Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I would choose Jesus too. Snow, are you making reference to the Book of Zelph? If so, what do you think about also including Chuck Norris as well? :) Quote
nmdesertrose Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Aside from Jesus... mine would be Teancum. I just love his story and admire his courage and fierceness. I've always felt a connection with him. Quote
Guest musicman Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 abinadi not to many stories with him but i admired his courage Quote

MrsAri Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I would like to meet General Moroni. Quote
Maxel Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I don't know. I know I'll meet them all eventually... I guess I'm most excited about meeting Alma the Younger (after Christ). I want to hear about his conversion story from his own mouth. It'd be awesome to meet Zeezrom, too. Quote
beefche Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I don't know. I know I'll meet them all eventually... I guess I'm most excited about meeting Alma the Younger (after Christ). I want to hear about his conversion story from his own mouth. It'd be awesome to meet Zeezrom, too.Dang, Max, you stole my thunder. I love Zeezrom--his is such a background story that most people just talk about the beginning--him contending with Alma and Amulek. But, the story goes on in which he fully repents and becomes a missionary. I'd love to hear the rest of his story. Quote
Bini Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I haven't read the Book of Mormon but I'm familiar with the stories. Jesus would be my number one pick but my second pick would also be Nephi. Wasn't their a primary song about Nephi and his brothers? I'm hearing a tune in my head but don't recall any of the lyrics.. Quote
Tarnished Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Jesus would probably be my first choice, but after that I would want to meet Moroni, either one, and Mormon. I think all three of those people are amazing. Quote
rameumptom Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 After Jesus, I would pick Lehi. I would love to discuss with him the astounding revelations he received (such as in 1 Ne 1). I'd also like to discuss why Nephi thought it was so important that his father dwelt in a tent. Quote
Just_A_Guy Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I'm with the people who picked Zeezrom. Would be interesting to discuss the finer points of Nephite jurisprudence. Quote
cullenh Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 It would have to be without a doubt Nephi.... I also admire his faith and wisdom... but also his courage !!! Quote
NeuroTypical Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I'd like to talk Coriantumr into letting me take his place against Shiz. And Shiz would be all "come unto me that I may slay thee" and I'd be all "I don't think so" and he'd be all "you shall pay for your brash foolishness" and I'd be all "If you want it come get it, I just opened up a can of it for ya" and he'd be all "thy head shall part from thy body ere the noonbell rings" and I'd be all "I'll ring yo mamma's noonbell" and he'd be all runnin' at me yelling "AAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!" and I'd be all kung-fooey on him, and he'd be all "thou hast dealt me a painful blow" and I'd be all "It's supposed to hurt, it's a butt-kickin'" and he'd be all throwin' sand in my face like a coward and I'd be all staggerin' around goin' "thou hast used a mongrel trick against me" and he'd be all "now time to bust a cap in ya'" and I'd be all "hey, I thought I was the smack talker and you was the old ancient guy - hey what's that!" and he'd be all lookin' and sayin "what? where?" and I'd be all "Here's for the three millions that have fallen at the hand of thy army" and I'd cut his head off too. That'd be cool. LM Quote
beefche Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 LM, what are you, 16 years old? That was hilarious! Quote
Dravin Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 There is more than one Nephi, specifying might be in order. Actually it would be interesting, we all have these mental images of people from the Book of Mormon. Quite a lot of them are influenced by church art. Imagine finding out that Captain Moroni isn't ripped, but some small wiry guy, or that Nephi's tall stature is 5' 10". Quote
Danite Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Well, The Savior hands down it's his book. but Nephi Ammon, Capt. Moroni, Alma the younger so many choices, I love them all, they all have taught me so much Quote
jameslentz Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 mine would be the 3 Nephites....but maybe i already have met them :) Quote
MrsAri Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I want to meet General Moroni whether or not he's ripped. lol 'Tis what the man is made of that counts. :) Quote
Moksha Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I'd like to talk Coriantumr into letting me take his place against Shiz. That'd be cool.LM Way cool. Like Shiz rising up by his hands after his head was cut off would be unique. After that we could watch professional wrestling. Quote
Generally_Me Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I'd like to meet any/all Ammon, Aaron, Omner and Himni. Their story is at least as inspiring as Alma the Younger's. They were vile sinners, they repented, they are remembered thousands of years later as selfless, death-defying missionaries...and they turned down a CROWN man! Quote
