NeuroTypical Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Let's hear a few things. Mine: 1. I'm thankful that I'm not a landlord any more. I just couldn't handle getting eviction proceedings going this time of the year. 2. I'm grateful for my wife's smarts, my kid's desires to learn, and my ability to endure the pain of a new frisky kitten with sharp claws. Quote

Guest Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 I'm thankful for an increased awareness of the blessings I've always had. I'm thankful for the beautiful promises bestowed on me in the Temple, and for the opportunity to make and keep promises in return. I'm thankful that our local temple is open again and eager to go back. I'm thankful for a Father who helps me even though I am so undeserving. I'm thankful to have the coolest, smartest, funniest kids I know, even when they drive me nuts. I'm so very thankful to be married to one of the truly good ones. Every year that goes by I am more grateful for the righteous man who is my companion. I'm thankful for the law of compensation. I'm thankful for my Savior, who forgives me, heals me, and changes me. slamjet Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 In thinking about what I'm grateful for today, I can say I am most thankful for: - My children, they are a hoot and make their parents very, very proud. How I miss them. - The gospel and the church along with all the knowledge of God, His character and salvation that it teaches. - For being at least a little bit smart enough to grab hold of the Atonement that has made me and my life a whole lot better and more hopeful than it was before. I was able to bring him home yesterday. My Father in Heaven has truly blessed my family with this gift. Quote
Maureen Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 (edited) I am thankful for my job, even though: 1. We just moved into a different building, which is still being renovated. 2. It is freezing because of the renovations. 3. There's only one microwave for a *bizillion people to use. (*slight exaggeration) 4. We've been given two fancy coffee makers (with one broken) to use instead of the good old fashion kind that usually work and make good coffee. 5. This new building is farther away from my parking, which means I will become more fit due to the extra walking. Inspite of all these crazy adjustments, I appreciate my job. :) M.
