I did that when my dogs were puppies, and that was because of separation anxiety. They eventually got so used to the cage that fit both of them with room to move around, that they would take naps there even if someone was home. The female actually hid under a bed for a day after she was spayed, as she needed someplace to relax.

This is why I do the paper return instead of the e-filing thing as I prefer to have a copy of what I sent in. I also take it to the main post office instead of the local one because it gets processed faster. All your cash are belong to us.

I yelled at a surfer riding a motorcycle because I'm cool like that.

All I know is that the Catholic church doesn't recognize any other baptism, so any convert would have to attend classes for several months. There are other denominations that recognize LDS baptism, so a potential convert would be accepted as a member if they chose to join.

Prayers For The Haiti Earthquake Victims
ADoyle90815 replied to Melissa569's topic in Current Events
The thing I just heard is that planes with supplies are backed up, and the air traffic control tower was destroyed, so they're relying on people with radios to direct traffic. The best way to help right now is by giving some to the humanitarian aid at church this Sunday. -
I love the trousers, flats, and the "boyfriend" blazer. I'm not too sure about the "Hammer" patterned pants, or the leather skirt. The last time I really wore knee high socks was when I was a Girl Scout. The main problem with the jumpsuit isn't that it's sleeveless and strapless, it's having to use the bathroom while wearing it.

That's also true when other disasters flatten your house, or you have a major flood hit, as that can cause mold growth, which would make one sick, or if it's like Katrina, the flood water could have raw sewage which would contaminate the food supply. I like to have stuff that lasts longer than 72 hours in a portable kit myself.

Prayers For The Haiti Earthquake Victims
ADoyle90815 replied to Melissa569's topic in Current Events
I think that in addition to prayers, it's a good idea to donate what you can to help. I'm going to donate to the American Red Cross myself, but I'm sure the LDS church would appreciate extra donations. -
I've heard of Lilith being a demon of some kind, and another myth is that she is married to Satan.

Science and Religion: Good Bedfellows?
ADoyle90815 replied to theoriginalavatar's topic in General Discussion
I don't think that science is anti-religion at all, as our brains were wired for religion. Scientific laws are also God's laws just like every law in the Bible. By thinking, humans are using the brain as it was designed, to ask questions about the physical world, and through science, seek answers to those questions. Spiritual questions aren't answered through science, which is where philosophy and religion come in. -
My ex could be on that show, along with his mom as they were evicted by the health department because of unsanitary living conditions. It's a major reason why he's my ex, as he refused to do anything about it, and I found that trying to clean the mess myself was a bad idea because he got so angry, it was scary. Some of the relatives on that show have found that out as well, that they really can't go in there and clean even though they really wanted to. I'm sure my ex thinks I made that call to the health department, but it's more likely that his neighbors made the complaint as they constantly complained about the back yard having trash and dog poop in it since he never cleaned up after his dogs. My dad is the opposite, and once he threw out a brand new carton of orange juice because he didn't bother to look at the expiration date. On Christmas a few years ago, I had just sprayed a disposable pan for au gratin potatoes, and when I went to use the bathroom, I came back and found that he threw that pan in the trash outside. He gets it from my grandma as she's much worse, to the point where my brother and I were uncomfortable as children in her house. She double bags the kitchen trash, and even washes paper plates with soap and water before throwing them away. She also washes regular dishes in the sink, then puts them in the dishwasher.

I'm not LDS, but I don't have tattoos because I haven't found anything that I would want permanently on my body.

Dear idiot who almost rear-ended me getting off the freeway, The light just turned red at the end of the offramp, and since I plan to turn left, it's not safe to turn at this time. If someone decided to run the red light as the light for the offramp turned green, you could have rear-ended me since you were practically touching my rear bumper. Dear impatient person behind me, I know it's possible to turn right on a red light, but when there's a lot of traffic on the street, it's not always safe enough to turn, especially with those palm trees partially blocking the view. I'll go when I feel it's safe enough, or the light turns green and honking isn't going to make me go any sooner. If you're in such a freaking hurry, maybe you should think about leaving earlier next time. I'm not about to risk an accident or a ticket just because you're in such a hurry. When there's a sign saying, "No Right Turn on Red," it means that I'm going to wait for the light to turn green before turning because I don't want a ticket.

Go to the gym at least 3 times a week, for both weight training and cardio stuff. I'm continuing to lose weight, and now I want to get arms like Michelle Obama's.

What is Normal - Boys and Dressing Up
ADoyle90815 replied to theoriginalavatar's topic in General Discussion
I know that when I was growing up, I went through a tomboy stage and played with some of my brother's toys, and loved to play in the mud. I'm no lesbian as I wasn't born that way. My brother played with some of my dolls, and he's not only straight, he's married and has a daughter. I do have a cousin who was born gay, and he played with all boy stuff growing up. My family still loves him unconditionally, as that's how it should be. -
Why do most non-LDS Churches have no temples?
ADoyle90815 replied to a topic in Christian Beliefs Board
I think it's that way because the Attonement took the place of the animal sacrifice ritual that originally went on in the temple. I seem to remember that when Christ prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem, the temple was said to be part of what was destroyed, and that turned out to be the case. Some non-LDS Christian sects have cathedrals which like LDS temples, are unique in that they're bigger and more ornate than regular churches. Many of those cathedrals took decades to complete, especially the older ones. -
You can't blame Obama for this one. The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a Nativity Scene in the United States' Capital this Christmas season. This isn't for any religious reason. They simply have not been able to find Three Wise Men in the Nation's Capitol. A search for a Virgin continues. There will be no problem however, finding enough asses to fill the stable.

AP debunks "hoax" claim! What do you think?
ADoyle90815 replied to Vort's topic in General Discussion
My vote is: Probably real. Billions of people burning hydrocarbons for a few centuries would cause some change. Regardless of what's going on with the climate, we need to take better care of the environment as I'd hate for a major catastrophe to convince people to change, as it might be too late. Also, there will be a time when the oil reserves and other resources have been used up, and once those are gone, they're gone. If there are no alternatives, then it will be really bad for the global economy. -
Tony Blair: Global Warming science doesn't need to be very accurate
ADoyle90815 replied to Maxel's topic in Current Events
I don't think we should wait until a major catastrophe to change how we do things, as we are here to actually take care of our planet, and not destroy it. I'm certainly no tree-hugger or PETA nut, but the oil and other natural resources are capable of running out, and once they're gone, they're gone. I belong to the other PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals. -
This sounds like it would be a neat experience, and a way to learn more about the Old Testament, as it's also known as the Torah. It's considered rude to go to another church event and start preaching, since I'm sure you would be offended if some Evangelicals started sharing their anti-LDS beliefs at a wedding reception in a local chapel's hall.

Happy Holy Days--Tis the season to take offence?
ADoyle90815 replied to Mike Reed's topic in General Discussion
I personally think the "War on Christmas" is a bit silly, as it shows how narrow-minded some Christian extremists can be as they refuse to acknowledge that there are other religious holy days during this time of year. As for Kwanzaa, it's more of a cultural holiday, and African American Christians also celebrate Christmas the day before Kwanzaa starts. With workplaces, I've never heard of one where workers were allowed to swear at customers, even if the customer is swearing at them. It happens, there are customers who are rude enough to use foul language at retail staff. Even if the company has a policy for being politically correct by requiring employees to say "Happy Holidays," they still won't tolerate anyone swearing at customers, even going so far as to fire the employee on the spot.
