A golden rule moment? I would probably go, unless there is more that you think this reader should consider.

The concert's aim is explicitly to prevent youth suicide.  That is 100% in line with church teaching.

Ya bunch of wet blankets.  I'll be playing the music at my work, displaying music videos on a projector.  Got a time-specific playlist with pre max, max, and receding songs.
Our hope is the music will bring people to the cafeteria, and folks with the safe glasses will share with those lacking, and our workforce won't go blind squinting up at the 89% eclipse.

    Sigh.
This is the problem with politics in the USA.  They have their own version of what political ideologies mean so that - things like Liberalism becomes bad, Libertarianism becomes bad, Socialism is always bad, even anarchy is always bad.
Each of these ideologies is not necessarily bad.  Each of these ideologies have their own uses in society.  For example, anarchy was GOOD when used by Ghandi to correct the system in India.
In the USA today, Libertarianism is currently NECESSARY to correct the rapid expansion of government on both the Liberal and Conservative sides - the two major political ideologies wrestling in government.  Liberalism is supposed to be for small government, Conservatism is supposed to be for small government but both of those things are using government expansion to win their sides.  Libertarianism - even in social politics - can correct those warring factions.
As proven in any part of society in any era, every single political ideology is flawed.  It needs to be counter-balanced by an opposing ideology to remain viable.  Hence, the beauty of the American Constitution.

Libertarian-ism is one step removed from anarchy, imho. If the government doesn't exist to control, at some level, the morality of it's people, then what good is government?

Sadly it can, but not in the sense immediately. How does the adversary work against the elect? By small and simple means towards apostasy. All apostates begin to support or hold beliefs (and preach them loudly often) that are contrary to truth. If the adversary is able to get the elect to support sin/error, even the smallest portion, he can then continue to tempt by small and simple means.
I don't think Kate Kelly would have ever thought she would be in the position she is now for supporting ordain women movement. So in all this, we should be very cautious in what we support, because, like the Nephites, we could fall quickly and they didn't get where they were in one day, but in a short amount of time.
P.S. I am not saying you are in apostasy, so that is clear -- hopefully.

I've thought long and hard regarding my opinion on this. I suppose I don't oppose same-sex marriage in the vein that I've decided government-involved marriage is silly.
"Backroads, do you support the legalization of same-sex marriage?"
"Why does the government care so much about my or anyone else's marriage?"
I'm not exactly out championing it and waving signs, but I guess I don't care. Does that me a supporter? Does it make me a supporter unto apostasy?

There's a difference between support and actively promoting.
A default position is one of silence in some situations.  In this situation, if you felt that there should be no age based or other restrictive laws on who can smoke or drink (and in some areas of the world, 7 year olds ARE allowed and DO drink some alcoholic beverages at times), then you may be supportive of that position by default.
However, that is a far cry than going to the elementary school and trying to encourage all the kids to buy alcoholic drinks and smokes from your corner store across from the school and handing out free samples.
In that light, if you think the laws (for example, in regards to LDS history and the persecution of Mormons for polygamy practices) regarding marriage are too restrictive or allow discrimination and persecution based upon what should be one's personal convictions rather than something state owned and sponsored, your default position may be supportive of those who also want the same thing so they can practice Gay Marriage.
On the otherhand, that's a FAR cry than entering into Gay Marriage yourself and promoting it to others as just and right and testifying that anyone who does not think it is the moral and upright thing to do is a bigot.
The first probably is appropriate, the second...well...that's a lot more questionable in regards to the whether you are being honest in your temple recommend questions.

Supporting same-sex marriage does not equate to believing that such relationships are healthy, good, or positive.

My thought is a cautious, yes. Semantically, it might depend on exactly what we mean by "support". To draw a parallel, can a good Mormon (perhaps back in 1933) believe that alcohol consumption was morally wrong, but also believe that prohibition is/was bad public policy? To bring out the big guns, what about abortion? Can a good Mormon believe that abortion is morally wrong (with exceptions as frequently noted and for which we sometimes get criticized), but also believe that overturning Roe v. Wade would be bad legislation? Can one believe that SSM is morally wrong, but also support its legalization in the civil arena of a pluralistic society?

In a variant ripped from today's headlines: Is it possible to support same sex marriage white supremacy and hold a current temple recommend?
The answer to both questions is probably "yes".  But the recommend holder is still colossally, epically wrong.
