By no means do I condone homosexuality. But just by being gay you are not automatically going perve someone. As far as the gay adults, if they are claiming that they are actively engaging in homosex, then that doesnt meet the standards the scouts have currently. I imagine that if a boy said that he was active, the leadership would review, at least as much as a heterosexual. If you are concerned, it may be wise to meet with your leadership after they have had time to discuss the changes.

Now this is something I would do exactly. Not saying it is right or wrong, just that your husband and I are probably best friends at heart.

We have tried doing a weekly allowance if the kids did their daily chores. I created a system that paid so much for every chore. They did not have to finish them all, but the amount of money paid out for almost completing the chores, was not even half of what they could get by completing all of them. They loved it at first. But it seemed like it became a chore for us parents just to keep them doing it, and who was going to pay me for being the overlord of chore town? The only other thing I really pay them for is if they find a nail or a screw on the ground in the garage or the yard and bring it to me, I reward them. There is nothing I hate more than a nail or screw in my car tires or in my kids feet.

I thought it would be fun to hear what professional sporting events you all have been to. My list is short. I live in Utah, so Jazz games are common. I purchased tickets to go see the Dodgers play in LA next week and I am very excited.

I agree with others that maybe you should leave it open to the possibility, but not search. Unfortunately, you may always have someone pushing you towards a date or trying to fix what they know nothing about. As humans we are like that. Best of luck to you.

I am sorry for your problems Lakumi. This is a tough call. Looking on it from a stance that has no experience with what you are dealing with, here is my perspective. Since coming to Earth is a choice made by each individual, I dont think you are doing anyone a favor by not having children. If satans followers would gladly take the body of a swine, I am sure a righteous spirit would gladly take a body with imperfections and pain. Again, my opinion.

What I weigh against is repairs. Is the used beater I am getting going to need a repair every month to keep it going? How much is that going to be? A few hundred a month? Will those repairs cause me an extreme amount of stress, worrying if it will die any moment? I once jumped around from used junker to used junker, each with the hope that nothing would go wrong. From my experience, it is better to go with a nicer vehicle if possible. Not necessarily more expensive, but when I have purchased low mileage newer vehicles, they have broken down a lot less, and in the end have saved me money and stress. Just my opinion, but it has worked for me.

So I firmly beleive that we may say too often "doesnt the president have anything better to do?" But really, doesnt he? The president called an NBA player to congratulate him on coming out? I understand when the president visits a disaster zone or calls a wounded vet. In my opinion it can create solidarity. But this? Would the president have called him if he donated every last penny to charity? I doubt it. It is solely a political move for his party. This is what trends on twitter and they know it.

Alright Selek, so I am okay with the first part of your response. Yes, there was nothing mentioned about anything other than English is to be used. Which, frankly could be a business decision of any company and I am not alarmed about that at all. But then it seems that the OP pushed some of your buttons? By your line of thinking shouldn’t this part of the forum be completely shut down? It seems like a legitimate question that they have. Sure, in Utah there is a lot of church employed people you may know, but how about in South Africa? Do you have a slew of people in every ward that you can ask about Church Employment. Should we only have postings on the scriptural references and talk of the gospel on this site? I think this post is completely acceptable and the responses have been courteous. To the OP: You are being employed by an employer. Although you should expect that standards higher than most other employers, treat it like work. Complaints should be submitted to managers, not through prayer. (Although prayer sure helps me get through the day). Good luck.
