Absolutely we should worry.  I have carefully and scientifically studied the art of worrying and have proven that close to 97% of all the worrying that is done never happens.  What could be more effective???  For example I worry every day that the sun will stop burning - and it never has yet.  I worry all the time about the universe clasping into Black Holes.  People should thank me for all the worrying I do that so greatly benefits them.

No, no!, a thousand times NO!!!
"Life expectancy" is not a useful measure unless you attach an age. The assumed age is "birth", so, while a neonate could expect to live 40 years in the i, his father, presumably at least 15, would have an LE of at least 60, and his living grandfather, aged, say 45, would have an LE of 70 or so.
All life expectancy tell us is that half of the people alive at a given age will be dead at another age in the future. Since half or more of all children died before age 5 until about the mid XIX, the LE at birth was necessarily low. but when someone lived to age, say, 20, his LE wouldn't be a whole lot different for a twenty-year-old today.

"Winston, if I were your wife, I'd put poison in your coffee."
"Nancy, if you were my wife--I'd drink it."

And that, folks, is why Mormons don't drink coffee.  (Boom-di-boom crassh.  Thanks, folks.  I'm here 'til Thursday.  Remember to tip your waiters!)

I actually worked on something like this while sitting in a college physics class, but it was years ago and I don't remember how I fit all the pieces together, if I did so.
Everything is both a particle and a wave, or has properties of both a particle and a wave. So the particle properties of your matter have you in one definite location, but you also have a wave-you extending out across the world. Somehow the magicians figure out how to move themselves along their waves.

Thank you all so much! You have all dished out a lot of brilliant advice. I'm not so anxious now as I was before, and that's all thanks to the wonderful people who have contributed their thoughts, ideas, and opinions to this thread. I've got the beginnings of a game plan, and I'm going to work hard for the next few weeks and weeks following to be more confident in myself and to not use the media's standards to measure my worth. It was unfair of me to assume that he expects perfection simply because he was blessed with dashing good looks. I know that he isn't superficial or vain.
I realized today that we became close in the first place because each of us was being our real selves. So that's how I'm going about this. I'm going to be who I've always been. (Except probably a little more mature, because I was 17 when we met and college changes a person.)
If things go the way I hope they will, great. If not, things may change once he's settled back into his life. If they never do, it's not like there aren't thousands of single men who go to school with me. I'll get over it after a while.

Somebody the other day said, "A cat could run for president and win, this year!" I quipped, "I'd vote for the cat!"  In the last three days I've mentioned this I think I've gotten enough affirmations to win 5 or 6 electoral college votes. :-)

And that, too, is fair to say. Indeed, it seems likely: repentance is harder than anything else except not repenting.

For those that don't know, the Power Rangers franchise is still a thing.
The current season has actor Yoshi Sudarso as the Blue Ranger.
This past weekend was the annual official fan convention for the franchise. A big highlight event involved the current cast members coming up on stage and announcing the cast members for the next season.
Yoshi's successor as Blue Ranger? His brother Peter. None of the current cast members were told the identities before the official announcements, meaning that the whole thing was set up to surprise Yoshi with the news that his brother had made it in as well.

(Given that Yoshi's character spent generations in suspended animation, and that Yoshi and Peter bear a strong family resemblance, I'm already seeing fans of the franchise asking about the prospect of the show having Peter's character be officially declared a descendant of Yoshi's character in order to have a family relationship in the show as well.)

If my workplace asks me to lead the prayer, then obviously they have no problem with Mormon prayers.  If they ask me to lead the prayer and then tell me I can't pray in the name of Christ, then I'll have to decline.  If nobody asked me to lead the prayer and I just go out on the middle of the workplace and start leading them in prayer, I expect them to kick me out... or even fire me.

I am not uncomfortable with a Muslim leading a prayer in a public setting and praying to his God.  I have no problem with Jews doing the same.  I have no problem with any other faith leading a prayer in their own faith.  Now, I would, of course, question the stupidity of a group of people asking a Muslim to lead the prayer when said Muslim wants to defeat Christians in their midst.

That said... I live this everyday.  I am the only Mormon in a whole slew of devout Catholics.  My sons and I get asked to offer prayer for meals and such at family get togethers and even big parties.  We don't pray off the Catholic prayer book.  We pray as exemplified by the modern prophets.  Everybody knows we're Mormon.  The host asks us to lead them in prayer.  They don't expect us to ditch our being Mormons just because we are standing in a sea of Catholics.

:)  Sorry for being a stickler on this.  Working the family history center for a long time, I've learned that exactness is important in this regard.  I have seen WAY too many people disappointed when they join the church, only to find out that they cannot take their beloved mother to the temple because her name was submitted by some random impatient person in Jakarta.

In my experience, when I'm trying to make an important decision, I study, learn and think about it until I decide what seems best. Then I pray about it, and ask if my decision is right. I'm not very good at getting answers, not like my wife is. I usually don't hear an answer. But I pray anyway; at least I tried. If I feel like I get a prompting about a direction then of course I follow the prompting If not, I proceed to do the thing that I prayed about, that I think is best.

Indeed... we have two factors at play with this...
    What the person/speaker intends...
    and
    what the person/listener takes away.

There are some people who put on a display of self-rightousness
And there are some people who feel attacked/shamed/guilty at the slightest hint and deflect/attack back
the two are not always connected

So what... you want to bicker over whether your radio show is more reliable as a source than my podcasts?  (Incidentally, in the Limbaugh quote you provided he doesn't explicitly make the claim that Trump made the list himself.  The tone of what he said comes across to me that he just meant the Trump campaign, which could have been him or the people working for him.  The distinction isn't important.)
Understand me... I do not CARE whether Trump created the list or whether it was given to him by the party.  I'm not emotionally invested one way or the other, I'm just telling you what I know and what makes sense to me.  If you think Trump had the awareness and knowledge (or the time) to compile that list himself then go right ahead and believe it.  That doesn't make sense to me but if it does to you then by all means run with it.
I'm voting for Evan McMullin because he's respectable, knows how to speak, has actual experience in government and isn't an egomaniac.  Will he win?  Nope, but neither will Trump anyway.

I won't vote for Trump.  While I understand your arguments and I see where you're coming from, I have deep reservations about his personal character and approach.  If you feel like he's the best choice then by all means give him your vote, but I can't and I won't.

Yes, within the parameters Moroni laid out: if there are mistakes, they are the mistakes of men.
It matters a great deal. Either it is what it claims to be or Joseph Smith either lied or was deceived. Either one makes the Church he Restored false, its Priesthood void, and its promises and covenants useless.
