Guest MormonGator Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 ...aside from the eternal salvation and inner peace it brings, I also love the cookies people in my ward bake. An added benefit. Tongue in cheek thread-what does everyone else like about being LDS? Quote
Bini Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 For my 3.5 year old, being around a bunch of little kids her age, was like totally awesome. Jane_Doe 1 Quote
Bini Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Oh and for me, this is kind of a strange one, Sundays were the only days that I got to dress up in somewhat formal attire. So that was always fun. Blackmarch 1 Quote
pkstpaul Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 I like best, the opportunity to serve. It isn't easy to find regular opportunities for service outside the church. They are there but, when being LDS, I don't have to look. Jane_Doe 1 Quote
Guest Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 In my ward, if you work with the youth you get a free whitewater rafting trip every summer with some of the funniest guys around. There are 3 or 4 guys in our ward with enough rafts and experience between them to make this happen. Quote
Crypto Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 I like the spirit I feel in the buildings dedicated to worship. Quote

EarlJibbs Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 (edited) That our ward FB page is mainly for bartering. It's like its own market place. Except most of the stuff is garbage. This reminds me, I have a cruddy table to sell... Edited March 24, 2015 by EarlJibbs Quote

Palerider Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 One of my favorite things about being LDS is I love going to church on Sunday's and being around all the members. I am very serious about this. I love being around the members. It strengthens me and motivates me. classylady and Vort 2 Quote
Capitalist_Oinker Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 What I like about it is that it's true! If it weren't for that, a D10 Cat couldn't drag me into a church building. pam 1 Quote

Traveler Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 What do I like about being LDS? I love that I can emjoy and embrace truth from whatever source I can find it. And that all truth is loved and embraced by the core concept of being a saint of G-d in these last days just prior to the return of Christ. Quote
