This sounds like serious depression.  I've been there.  It is rough, but treatable.  I suggest seeing that he sees either your family doctor or a psychiatrist to take a questionnaire or two and get a diagnosis and help.  I wish you, your son, and your family the best.

If you really want this behavior to end, you might consider encouraging him to say this to her.  Any woman with half a brain would run away screaming. (Note: this isn't very good advice. But if he did say this, at least you and she could bond about what a psycho nut job your husband is)
Approaching your Relief Society president would not be inappropriate here. In fact, I'd encourage you to speak to her over speaking to your bishop.
More importantly, I'd strongly recommend you ask your husband to go to counseling with you.  And keep in mind, those that resist the suggestion of counseling the most are the ones that most desperately need it.

I can remember when most members lived in Utah (this was back in the day of road shows, gold and green balls and church wide basketball and softball tournaments - now most members do not even live in the USA and have no idea what on earth is a road show or gold and green ball.

I live in a upscale stake in Utah.  About 5 years ago two wards disappeared from our stake.  Interestingly I have been in every ward in our stake and never moved.  The recent changes were caused by families raising their children and becoming empty nesters.   Our home use to have 7 members, now there are 2.  That is a 70% decrees. We were once in a primary with 200 little darlings - now we have about 25.  The new wards try to balance things but still there are gaps in the age of kids.  Our ward was great for families - now it is great for older couples.  There are some new families moving in with kids - we are kind of a newly wed and nearly dead ward.  But it is great - there are about 15 couples that we travel with.  There are only two that I can cycle and ski with - mostly I ski with my brothers.  But life is shifting.  My generation is dwindling.  My wife and I have lost our parents and all that is left of over 40 aunts and uncles is now less than 5.  Now we are starting to lose cozens.   I would guess about 1/4 of the young families are children of ward members living with parents while they build a home, settle after a divorce or try to get back into life after screwing everything up.  For sure - our ward is evolved over the 35 years we have been here.

Having correctly-set expectations solves the issue for me.  These are from kids in journalism school.  I'm glad all of my usenet and BBS postings back in those days have mostly died an unarchived digital death - I'm sure I'd be horrified to discover how much I was on a bar with these kids, back when I was one.

College is a perfect time to take all your youthful idealism, show it to the world, and crash into the concrete pylons of reality and more mature opinion.  College is the air bag.  These kids'll survive.

Slippery slope can be a logical fallacy, so, maybe. Maybe this is the first step on the slippery slope to taxation of charities and churches, I don't know. It seems that churches operate just fine as non-profits in nations where they are required to report, so mandatory reporting by itself does not seem to necessarily lead to taxation and integrating charities into the same category as for profits (at least not yet). I'm not sure that requiring churches to report finances will inevitably lead to the worst case scenario.

No. I won't engage in that kind of nonsense.
If it was a true lack of faith, I wouldn't pay tithing. If it was a truck lack of faith, I wouldn't encourage others to pay tithing. If it was a true lack of faith, I wouldn't sit patiently with those in my various social circles and help them work through their struggles and misgivings about any number of topics.
I have a disagreement with organizational policy. What's more, we learn from D&C 46 that gifts of faith, belief, administration etc, are given to different people. Not everyone gets every gift, but they are given out diversely "that all may be profited thereby."
I have complete faith and trust in Jesus Christ. But I've seen too many dirt bags elevated to positions of authority in this Church (myself included) to take everything it does organizationally on complete faith. And it's good for you, too, that there are skeptics in the Church. Because our gifts make the body of Christ stronger, too.
I don't mind that you disagree with me. I welcome that (yes, it annoys me, but intellectually, at the end of the day, I do truly welcome it). But you have no business denigrating the quality of my or anyone else's faith.

So, I’m going to back up @Godless just a bit here.  I don’t know that he’s complaining about the private acquisition of large sums of money per se; I think his concern is when that is done with untaxed money.
As voters and taxpayers, I think Americans do have an interest in wanting to make sure the tax burden is distributed equitably (whatever that means), and ensuring that specific organizations are complying with the law, and ensuring that specific tax exemptions are being used in a way that furthers the policy that was used to justify their creation in the first place.
If we saw a large tax-exempt investment portfolio that was supporting lavish lifestyles of its managers/owners, and/or which its owners not only weren’t using for charitable purposes but apparently had no plans ever to do so, and/or had a history of ethically/morally/legally suspect behavior—I’d be concerned.
Thankfully, I don’t think those conditions apply to what the Church is doing; but “nunya bidness” doesn’t *quite* seem to be the most effective answer to our critics on this.

Trinitarians and Hindus are completely different.  Trinity and Trimurti are not comparable.  Trinitarians do not believe in any way at all that the Trinity are 3 separate individual deities with different attitudes, etc.  The Trinity is One God.  The Trimutri is 3 gods.  The Trinity is not 3 Beings united by a universal constant.  The Trinity is One Entity.

So funny...because you are further apart from them than from traditional Christianity. Let's take a look:
Trinity? JW would say it's too polytheistic. LDS would say it's too rigid in its understanding of God being one.
Christmas? JW would say it's origins are in Paganism. LDS would hand me a Christmas choir CD.
American Constitution? JW would say it, like all earthly governments, comes from the Devil. LDS would say it's inspired.
Alcohol? JW would endorse it in moderation. LDS would invoke modern prophecy to oppose it.
Pop singers. Donny and Marie vs. Prince ... it's probably time to stop, now.
